I really like the design of the new xbox, it gives a 'grown up' look to the machine. can't wait to see the results of the games, what is even more important (I dont only mean graphics but also playability and originality). I can hardly wait.

Thanx again for all the answers, I've used the tip above to disconnect the hd containing the xp installation, then installed dos on the second, only I dont use the bios to switch but edited the boot.ini file to make a choice while booting. It works like a charm, thanx...And why, just because its fun to see if it is possible, and i want to run a dos enviroment without using things like virtual machines and so on.

Damn you lot have hard policys over there!anyways, any setting that can be adjusted (local at the workstation) is not illegal (i think), so maybe you are able to just deselect the option for using a proxysript. (tools - internet options - connections - lan settings - use automatic configuration script). If not, then another pc / server is keeping a list of blocked sites and you will not be able to connect to your favorite sites...

I'd like to try the game out, but do not feel the need to buy the game and pay a monthly fee to do so. Maybe the free servers are an option to try. But that also raises a question, are these worlds complete? like are all sones there and all the creatures and quests and so on??In that case, I'll give it a try....

Gmail First they started with 1GB now they are over 2.5GB
ramon replied to tom169's topic in The Internet
They also want to be able to say that they offer the most storrage for emails. And since there are others offering 1 or 2 GB of storrage, they have to top that, and this is their way of doing so -
Microsoft Certifications Are the worth the money?
ramon replied to zippy77's topic in Business Forum
I'm currently studying for an mcse certification. Although I do not expect a +50k salary. The market just isn't like it was in comparison to 6 years ago. But the requirements to get a job, often include a certification in mcse (and an age of 20 or lower and 4 years of expirience). -

I'm currently 24 and been a virgin for 16 years, so the most of my life.I am not proud about the fact that I am not a virgin, but I would not be proud about being a virgin. What I am trying to say, the term 'virgin' is just a name given to someone that hasn't got any sex yet. The choice for having sex is a unique choice and different for any person on the world. If you think your ready you have sex with a person you like or pay for...I have a friend that is 27 and hasn't got a girlfriend in his hole life. He is (most likely) ready for the job but hasn't done it because he wants to wait.

Yeah my favorite soccer club won again!!AZ made it to the half finals beating Villareal..I hope they can beat Sporting Portugal to...But all on all, it has been a amasing performance of them as a soccer club with a stadium that houses 1200 fans and a small budged against the 'big boys' with millions in money to buy the best players available.

Is Pc Gaming Going To Die>? discussion on title
ramon replied to Goosestaf's topic in Computer Gaming
Pc gaming will not disapear in my point of view. You state that consoles are cheap. The starting price of the next gen consoles will be high, I guess about 800 dollars or some like that. Most of the games will be ported because that is pretty cheap. lots of games are not well playable on a console like the sims.also a pc will not dissapear, the functionallity is to huge. And as long as there are pc's, games will also be available. The producents of videocards shall also push to keep creating games that push the limit of their top line graphic cards cause people are willing to pay 500 bucks for them so they can play the newest games at the highest resolution. So no pc gaming will not dissapear.. -
Absolutely a good one. Unfortunatly it's true also. hmm, back to work I guess....

Question to you all,I have a computer running windows XP, now I want to add a "real" DOS enviroment on the computer (not cmd or dosbox or something like that). So I thought dualboot will do the trick, but the problem is, if I go on and install dos on my free harddisk, I will have a problem cause it f*cks up my boot process and windows xp will not start anymore. That I dont want!Anyone got an idea on how i can install dos so I can multiboot between windows xp and dos without formatting my windows drive, install dos and then reinstall windows?Any help would be greatly appreciated..Ramon.

In my oppinion, the sp2 firewall can be just as good as any other. The main problem with this firewall is its difficult configuration. You have to manually add every port you want to block / allow to make it work well and effective. So know your ports and configure them. This is however, a lot of work.Thats why I would still advice another firewall cause they have interactive screens and much easyer configuration possibilities. Also as stated above, use an alternate browser and ofcourse AV software.Anyway good luck with the reinstallation and so on.

If you mean the following question: Is everquest 2 out for sale and playable for the public? Then Yes it is.Although I've heard that EQ2 isn't as good as EQ1 or makes it to its expectations.Have i played the game, no. not going to either.

I use IPCop, this is a linux firewall. I'm running this in as a VM on my windows. It captures my network cards and all data that is going in and out is not touched by my windows but dynamicly forwarded to the VM and from there transferred to the internal network, a virtual networkcard to connect to the win xp machine or to a virtual DMZ (demilarized Zone, where i can host virtual servers...).

Your All-time Worst Book Your all-time worst book
ramon replied to electriic ink's topic in General Discussion
nice topic, cant really think of the worst book I've ever read, most likely because I have read so many that I cant remember all of them. Espesially the worst ones.Anyway how about Windows xp for dummies or something like that. -
What is the purpose of your webserver, as indicated above, if you plan to have an webserver only, you can do with an "cheap" pc, something like a 600 Mhz PIII with at least 256 MB memory and a good bunch of hd space (20 gig +). IF you also want to run an ftp, you're gonna need even more hd space. If you plan on using the server for home use (like internet sharing, dhcp, firewall, mailserver etc. you'll need a heavier machine. My best advice on building a machine, is take a look on what you want, think about what software and OS you want to use (e.g. linux/windows/novell/etc), look at requirements of the OS and software, and based on that, choose the components you want to use.Thats how i choose my systems...

A switch for 5 computers is perfect for a small lan game.I'd say go for it.
-
Well I have to agree with to above, exept if you are planning on copying data from each other, then i would seriously advice to use a cheap switch.Because, if you use a hub, all data that is transmitted, will be sent to all devices (computers) connected to that hub. Meaning that the lines will slip full with information that is ment for only one computer and will reach 3 or 5 or 20 computers, or how much are connected to the hub. Also all data that is transmitted will take bandwith that is available (if you have a 100 mb hub and one is transferring data from another pc, at 100mb, none is left for the other devices and gaming will become so drasticly slow that it wont be fun to play anymore).using a switch every port on the switch has its dedicated 100mb and data is only transmitted to the device that is in need of this data.A cheap switch is slightly more expensive than a hub but well worth the money.Have fun gaming!

What I need in P&P rpg manuals is a good structure in the book. start with an example of a dialog of something fun that happens in a game. Just to get the players / dm exited.put some background in it, like the world, how it became to what it is now. and clear text is a must. also use clear tables with data. very handy to have.thats my 2 cents...

See the above posts, you are infected with an virus. Also if you find you do not have enough time to complete the above procedure to remove the virus, do the following:start -> Run --> type: "CMD" --> clic ok.type the following in the black box (dosscreen):shutdown -a <press enter>The message will now disapear and you will have enough time to complete all the rest.good luck.
