OK, I'm not sure if I have this right. But I'm going for it anyway. Now, I'm new to this to, keep that in mind. Go to command prompt (if you have MySql fully installed) > type: mysql -h [I]your host name, like niclbee.trap17.com[/I] -u [I]your username[/I] -p then it should show this: enter password:type your password, if it doesn't log you in, you've inserted the wrong hostname, user, or password. The next step is to create your database, go into your cpanel (yourdomain/cpanel) and click on the link for MySql databases, now type the name of the database and hit create database. Now, it always puts your username in front of the database name, like Josh_yourdatabase. Now, go back into command prompt and type: use Josh_yourdatabase;keep in mind that all statments must end with a ; . Now, it should display somthing like this: mysql> use Josh_yourdatabase;database changedmysql>this is where you type your query. type it and it should display exactly what went on. I don't always use the Marquee for obvious reasons. A: If you use them to often, it gets distracting B: Moving text is somtimes hard to read But, other than that, I think their rather cool to use. And with the images it makes it kinda neat. Now, you could make these guys fade a lill' to give it a full effect, here's how: <marquee height="70" width="145" direction="up" scrollamount="2" style="Filter:Alpha(Opacity=100, FinishOpacity=0, Style=2, StartX=0, StartY=90, FinishX=0, FinishY=0);">This text fades when moving</marquee> because of the Filter: Alpha, the text filters into text from 100 transparency to 0. Ok, I'm just now learning PHP and mySql. I really want there to be a place on my site where the users can post on my site. Is this easy? I would be like super happy if somone gave my instructions on how to make the database, and script it in PHP. I want to have a play and stop button on my site to play music. I know this is possible, because I've seen it done. So, basically I want a play and stop button and have any song I want it to play. And, I need a compact sound format.

About one year ago, I started building web sites. After I became more professional at building these sites, I needed a host. I looked everywhere! I found free web space, free domains that really sucked, and free hosting with tons of ads. Finally, my friend ran into Xisto.com. After I joined, I was kinda confused about how to earn credits and get hosting. I thought there might be a catch, but no ads, no small limits on space, and no spam. If I rated, which I did, Xisto, Id give it a 10. Also, signing up was so easy! All I did was state my username, e-mail, and password. Right now I only have package 1, but soon upgrading. My only recommendation to Xisto is whole swearing thing. I personally cringe when someone swears. I wish they would do a little bit more about that. But, I love it and very glad I found it. ok, the more you post (like you did) you recieve more hosting credits. As soon as you reach 10, you can get package 1. 30, package 2. Hope that helped.
