Ok I dont want to pinpoint any one or don't want to accuse anyone. its just that i wanted to say somethingIts all about posting things in Xisto.Ok i dont want any heated discussion or any replies to this post. All i think is that Tap17 Moderatos are a bit more strict. I mean infact very strict. ;)They should be a bit more easy on us. lol.First - There are so many links telling us what to post what not to post. I am totally confused.Second - Connection is not always good. So If I post an article and hit submit sometimes its not posted and gives me a 404 error. so I press Refresh. It asks me to retry-or abort. And I say Retry. And Then when The page Finally appears....it gets posted twise sometime. ;)Thirdly - The forum links are really way too large in number. It appears as if all the features of Invasion forum is enabled on the page. I really find it difficult to browse and read.Well all I want to tell u guys is Make Xisto a better Place. lol. Ok. I know its necessary to be strict. But guys... be easy. lol.I am a happy man. And so are othes I hope.OK No Post Count for this Post. Sorry If I said something wrong. My bad English.:DKeep up the good work. Make it better.

Yes that's a good idea.Or what u can do is Use Frames. Create Two Frames in one page. The Top most frame will have a height of 0% and the this page will reside on ur domain.Sounds cool?Better u own ur own forum. Take a backup of the database and export it into ur Database. No Conflicts of Copyright or nething like that I guess. The frame idea is not entertained by many of the hosts.

Oh u can get loads of code for that on web. If u know little bit of it, U'll easily b able to catter it to your need. Its really an easy task. Try urself and if u get stuck mail me the code at mukundis [at] gmail [dot] com I can write one fo u. but not in VB.NET. In C#. Converting it to VB.NET is as easy as lifting a neddle. Only thing is you should have the eyesight to see the neddle. I mean U must know a bit of .NEt and C#

I dont think that is the case. its in no manner slower then C/C++. You get the feel becuz its Compiled just in time. But Its intelligent enough to cope up with that. Actually lets see how the Just in Time compilation of .NET CLR works. Initially Just in Time Compiler will compile the code taking into the factors like -Hardware Performance boosters...I mean the advatages provided by the platform. -iT compiles and loads only the function needed for use at that particular instance of time. And hence will not compile all the code and will not load all the things in the memmory -Provides Automatic and Intelligent Garbage Collection -and much more It, I am sure, will be faster then C/C++ True that Small programs will run faster if built using C++ but for may be huge programs like database handlers, imaging and multimedia softwares etc, .NET will be faster,

Take this.C# is Almost a Copy of JAVA.But the Point is Microsoft Developed it similar to java just to avoid or reduce the learning curve.A Framework is not Identified by the languages it supports.C# is just an interface I guess. The Actual Coding Language is IL.CLR is Very diferent from Java. The majou Diff. I can think of right now is Just In Time Compilation. lol. There are many other.I mean there's hardly any comparison. Why Compre things. U can't use Java where .NET is required and u can't .NET where Java is required.Say for a field which Includes Intense Mathematical Computation... Java will be a foolish choice. As it interprets things. So performing Floating Point operations will take a long time.On the other hand... For Embeded systems Java is a good choice. So comparison is useless. What matters is Business and Clients - and Requirements

Take my words..NET is far more reliable then u can think off. Its a gem of a technology.Microsoft has really devoted a lot of time to make it a super cool stuff. It really makes a programmer's job as easy as arranging blocks.Just to note down some of its features(Ignore Spelling misteakes Please.. )Huge Framework Library to support almost everything u can think off.garbage ColletionJust in time Compilation - Mind Well its CompilationPortablbilityCan be written in Many LanguagesTo add to stability - Garbage Colletion, Tested code, First Full Object Oriented Implementation by Microsoft, Solving problems like DLL Hell, Tight Integration using XML,Excellent WebSupport and lots more.well this is what I can think off right now. There are Many. If i was allowed to copy and paste I cud have filled the entire site. lol.

Ever Gone to http://www.sir-toby.com/ This site has a cool PHP/MySQL engine that lets users take turns createing a interactive story. Person A writes part 'a' which leads to the unwritten chapters B C and D. Then the next person can write chapter B and another person can write a continuation to part B or maybe write chapter C. It's quite fun.

If you have set a root password, but forgot what it was, you can set a new password with the following procedure:1. Take down the mysqld server by sending a kill (not kill-9) to the mysqld server. The pid is stored in a `.pid' file, which is normally in the MySQL database directory:shell> kill `cat /mysql-data-directory/hostname.pid`You must be either the Unix root user or the same user mysqld runs as to do this.2. Restart mysqld with the --skip-grant-tables option.3. Set a new password with the mysqladmin password command:shell> mysqladmin -u root password 'mynewpassword'4. Now you can either stop mysqld and restart it normally, or just load the privilege tables with:shell> mysqladmin -h hostname flush-privileges5. After this, you should be able to connect using the new password.Alternatively, you can set the new password using the mysql client:1. Take down and restart mysqld with the --skip-grant-tables option as described above.2. Connect to the mysqld server with:shell> mysql -u root mysql3. Issue the following commands in the mysql client:mysql> UPDATE user SET Password=PASSWORD('mynewpassword') WHERE User='root';mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES;4. After this, you should be able to connect using the new password.5. You can now stop mysqld and restart it normally.

Here's something for broadband people that will really speed Firefox up: 1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now!
