I am considering selling websites. I plan on useing paypal and after people pay for a template or site i want an email to be sent to them with a link to a download. i want the link to deactivate so that they cant use it anymore. i dont really know how or if i can do that. also i want to secure that download page by only alowing the person who made the payment to access the page. i think that can be done buy ip address tracking or something like that. the only way i can think of doing this is using php and mysql and im not even sure if i can do that because im still new to php and mysql.Anyway any help here would be great.

I think you idea has potential. people love the battle field games i dont see why a civil war game wouldn't be successful. I know there are a few civil war games out there but i dont know of any that are first person. you may want to look at them for ideas or look for things they messed up that you can improve.and yes i would pay to play it if i had some money or a job.

I have been looking at lots of mmorpgs lately and im curious what upcoming mmorpg looks the best. Right now i think it will be darkfall online. It has an aqsome number of great features. You can ofcourse have your own clan, but you can build your own house, store, ships, or even cities. they have mounts and there are no safe zones. there is a great number of options for character skills. However the videos do show that work is beeing done. I personaly have never seen a mmorpg that was this advanced. Hey I've been thinking about starting my own website for website design/development. I can think of many different ways I could do this but I'm looking for the fastest, most simple, and most effective way of programing it. So let me explain what I want to do with this site.First off I will be selling websites, both custom and template. I need to know the best way for people to pay for them. I don't know if I should use pay pal or what. I don't have any expirience in that area.I also want to try to buy a server and host websites myself. Now I know how I'm going to make my site, but I need to know what kind of project I would be looking at if I wanted to create a content manager. I would assume that I could do it with PHP and MySQL or something like that and I understand that it is a large project, but how complex is it. I want the owners of the sites I host to be able to use a visual or text editor to update and modify their site.Then theres the thing with buying a server and getting it on the internet. I shouldn't have any problems getting one or getting it on the net, but I'm curious if any of you have any expirience on were to start with a server for your first time. I meen what size and what are the best ways of securing the server from viruses and hackers. I know I can easily moniter and block what people upload for there sites, but I could use a little more info from those of yo uwith expirience.Aside from all of that I just need to figure out if there is any legal work or licensing required.Well any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing that worries me about it is that they haven't announced a release date that I know of and they don't update there site very offten. On the other hand they have released videos and screenshots so you know they are getting somwhere. Also I have herd that it may be one of those pay as you play games, like Wow, and I have to say that judging buy the looks of it, it will be worth it.

Well I know you use 192.168.1.1 to get to it. Usually it is like you said, either admin and admin or admin and password. I checked on portforward.com and couldn't find a WG311v2 so it must be old. Oh yea you may want to try leaving the username blank and password as admin. I know it sounds stupid cause thats what linksys does, but hey wont hert to try.Edit:Just thought of something. If you know there are people around you who may accsess your router they could have set a diff password. If that happens just hit the rest button on the router.

Hey what do you think is the best way to code a site to appear correctly on multiple browsers? I've been thinking about useing Javascript or think of something in PHP.Also would it be better for me to use a style sheet or the include or require function in PHP to increase speed for when I have to update my site?I know how to do these things I'm just wondering wich way is the most effective and the fastest.

Well what kind of legal work and preparations would I be looking at if I wanted to put together a group of 2 or 3 people to design, develop, and sell websites. Would I have to get some kind of license or anything like that? Also how much time should I look to devote to working on sites. I'm concered that when school starts I may not be able to keep up. Unless I can just sell templates and take fewer custom website request.

I agree those teachers say some things that will make you wonder about why they are teaching. The same thing happened to my dad in med school. I just found my CD for Zod. For those of you who don't know, which may be most or even all of you, Zod was a startegy game similar to any other game like age of empiers. There are 2 teams of robots and you fight to the death. You take over buildings to produce more robots and new robots. I made it all the way to the last level but could never beet it. I know what you meen. I didn't start useing a program until a few months ago and even now I still type some of my own code. Anyway the main reason for us getting these programs is to increase our productivity. They really speed up your work so that if you work as a part-time developer you can produce more sites faster and make more profit.

I have been designing websites for a long time and something that I have always been interested in is flash and graphics. I have looked around a bit at some software but I'm not sure what I need and I don't want to make the mistake of buying the wrong software considering how expensive it can be. So what is the best way to start and what software should I get? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The official site is http://www.knightonlineworld.com/ It realy is a great game. I played it till i got my lvl up in the 40s. After that I got bored with it like all other mmorpgs. The bad thing about this game is that if you dont have a paid account you can't log on and play when server activity is to high. So you have to wait till the activity goes down or buy an account. Other than that its great. People are usually friendly and help you out and try to help you learn to play.

I have tried several places with templates and yes if you search right you can find loads of them, but I'll tell you about two that were really good.One was freewebs. It was good because you can use templates or create your own site and they host for free with a very small amount of advertising on your site. The only bad thing was that there were to make restrictions on what you could do as far as hosting a site.Another good one was Bravenet. They are basically the same as freewebs but less strict on hosting and they have better tools. I also like that they had a text/visual editor for your site if you dont know HTML.Now as far as hosting goes I cant find a better site than this one. If I were you I would go find a template that you want an use this site to host, info/support, and everything else.

To me a 10 day trial on this game is just long enough to see how you like the game. I enjoyed it when I played. The great part is that if you get tierd of just questing and killing monsters you can go fight the opposing nation. Which was my favorit part. To bad I can't afford to play it anymore.

I was planning on useing frontpage until I saw the price. Then i went after Dreamweaver but couldn't find it. So I got Namo and I'm begining to think it's better than both frontpage and dreamweaver. Yes I know this isn't what people normaly want, but I'm haveing trouble with it. I'm about 5'3" and 118lbs. I have reall trouble putting on weight. I workout regularly and take CytoGainer but I still have trouble putting on weight. When I say weight I meen muscle. I'm not trying to get fat or anything. Any suggestions?

Ha I didn't think anyone played that game still. I tried playing it online but I could never find anyone to play against. I was pretty good at it to. The only people I played against was my bro and cousin, but if i ever find the CD for it I'll play you. We'll see just how good you are.
