The common problem i have with pc multiplayer games is that you may get mistmatches, version problems and you need two cd's or two key's. Console games are better multiplayer as you can start playing quickly.

Its Free, but when you download it, it asks you if you want its third party product installed. Dont install it as it contains spyware and will collect information from your computer and send it to a website.

I dont really see whats wrong with it, there isnt really many other OS's with the vast amount of games and applications that can be run on it. Most people just take a shot at it because they want to be different and seem to think that if they use something else, they are cool. I use xp because its easier then trying to setup up linux or anything else.

Lots of free books on Kazaa and other clients. Try O'Reilly's e-books, they might contain some c++ tutorials.

I reckon that both HL2 and Doom 3 will be as good as each other and that both will probably rock. The Graphics do look a bit better on doom 3 though.

The reckon the Red alert series was best as it had a lot of fun vehicles you could play with, espically in Yuri's revenge. Yuri's forces were good, and there were lots of mods you could use.

If you liked Generals and Zero Hour, check out PRO: Gen, it adds in lots of new features and fixes a lot of bugs, you can get it here http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Its probably one of the best mods i've seen for generals in ages. It also adds 3 new generals!

Have You Ever Felt Like Creating A Game ... And if you have...
Critical_Impact replied to Etherion's topic in Programming
I've tried creating a MMORPG, but the systems that are involved making one are immense, and with only 1 person working on it, it almost seems impossible. -
Check out BYOND(Build your own net dream), its a easy to learn online game creation system. Its pretty neat and allows you to make a game in a matter of minutes. http://www.byond.com/. There are lots of tutorials and demos and you can ask any questions you want on the forums.

An fx5900xtv which is what i have, is a really good card. You may say, i can get a x800, but look at the price of one of those. After a while it will go down, but the current card i have should last me a while.

AMD is cheaper so its better for people who dont have as much money. But you can easily screw up an AMD if you make it your self.
