  1. Why don't you put everything into an array? Actually....You could choose some random date before the while loop and assign it to a variable, say $date. At the beginning of the loop, check if the date of the next project is the same as $date. If it is, just display the project name. If it isn't, display the new date and change $date to the new date.

  2. Why would you call them "Native Indians"? Please tell me that's the joke option.Anyway, the politically correct term is "Native Americans," but the historical term is "Indians." I don't believe that it should make a difference, but a lot of people get offended about really small things. Some of them don't mind being called Indians, others do; it really depends who you're talking to.

  3. I think a lot more than just terabytes is accumulated daily. You have to factor in that there are thousands of customers, many of whom browse sites like YouTube and Google Video - videos can be really large. Nobody would really search through everything (or even, as has been brought up, be able to search through everything), but it's a breach of constitutional rights if they're tracking everyone including the completely innocent.

  4. Video games can actually do a lot of good. A few years ago I wrote an essay about it. They can improve concentration and hand-eye coordination, and it's possible to sneak some real information and teach with a fun game (note: Mario is Missing, while it contained factual information, was not very fun). Also things like Brain Age (which is more fun than it sounds) help to keep your mind on its figurative toes.

  5. When the hair follicle enters the rest phase, the hair shaft breaks, so the existing hair falls out and a new hair takes its place. . . . The cells that make the hairs on your arms are programmed to stop growing every couple of months, so the hair on your arms stays short, thankfully! The hair follicles on your head, on the other hand, are programmed to let hair grow for years at a time, so the hair can grow very long.

That's really cool, I had wondered why arm and leg hair stayed so short but head hair could grow so long. Nice topic!

  6. I'm having my doubts that the USA has even got to the moon (not as if they couldn't do it with todays tech, but 40 years ago that might have been a problem . . .

Actually it's the other way around. In the 1960's it was our goal to make it to the moon by the end of the decade, so we spent all our space-exploration resources on it and eventually made it there. Now we're focusing on short-range manned missions (to the International Space Station) and really long range unmanned missions (Mars, Pluto, other solar systems), and we don't even have a copy of the blueprints from the space shuttle we used in 1969.

This reminds me, though, didn't Bush once say something about getting back to the moon within a few years? What ever happened to that?

  7. Your post kind of made me laugh. Then it made me lose faith in humanity again. Then I think it made me laugh again.

I hate *BLEEP*s. In high school I coninued to torment them and give them a hard time . . .

Your beliefs don't give you the right to be an **bottom**. That's just as bad as discrimination against any other group.

    . . . because I feel the being gay is a CHOICE.

Why would someone choose a lifestyle that brings about so much hatred from other people? Do you really believe that someone would choose to be hated by so many people and to have fewer rights?

Yes, he is going to hell because it says in almost every religin that being gay is a SIN in every MAJOR religion.

The only religion that mentions homosexuality is Christianity (and possibly Islam, I don't know), and that's pretty vague. What is it, "Don't lay with a man as with a woman"? That's a pretty poor support. Tell me where all the other religions mention homosexuality. I want references from Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Shintoism, at least.

  8. All the Muslims I know are nice people and I have nothing against them or their religion. The terrorist stereotype has gotten way out of hand because nobody knows anything about the religion. People seem to think that the religion dictates that non-Muslims be killed, but it specifically says not to hurt innocent people.

  9. This is basically the cliche about apples and oranges. You can't compare two completely different types of music, especially ones as diverse as rock and rap. Look at these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rock_genres, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hip_hop_genres. Yes, rock tends to be more musical and rap tends to be "poetic," but some rock is more poetic, while some rap is more musical. You can't really even compare subgenres of rock or rap, either. Like instrumental rock, which focuses on instruments alone and has no singing, and early rock like Chuck Berry, who reused notes but had very diverse and interesting lyrics. This debate is pointless just like nearly every other debate on the internet.
