  1. I have tried mail.com. I found it good at it's features

    * 100MB of mail space

    * Ajax interface.. highly recommended for broadband users. (optional)

    * Easy to use address book

    * FREE Calendar, Notepad, Greeting Cards and Games included

    * 100s of addresses to choose

    * Free e-cards

It had a few ads ...a banner on the top. But when you can an email address like prash@bikerider.com, who cares the ads! :P

check out the list of domains they offer.

    mail.com

I use Yahoo! mail service. Thye have upgraded. It's not 10MB anymore. they offer 1GB space. With Yahoo! Beta, emailing is fun. They have good AJAX sink for mails. They do support SMTP and POP3 access, letting you to access mails from your favorite mail clients.

    They have the best security.

They have a tonnes of features loaded with every free mail account.

Apart from mail space, they also provide free web space of 15MB.

    Check out: Yahoo!

Thank you! I am adding mail.com to the list and updating the yahoo mail information. Besides that I am making the list more organized now and going to get some more information about the different services when I get time!

  2. MyRealBox is a service that I have used for quite a long time but they canceled signup for a while. They are about to reopent though.

they have 10mb space, excellent spam filtering system, and, most importantly to me, they have POP3 and IMAP access, and very little downtime.

There are 2 web interfaces (it uses the Novel Groupwise system, and is a testbed for it.) one of which has a notes system and also a calender system, shown below

Another one I have used and still do is mail15 based at pochta.ru

This has the following (including some stats):

    WORK THROUGH MAIL CLIENTS

You can work through your favorite mail client: POP, SMTP, IMAP and SHTTP are supported

    UNLIMITED MAILBOX STORAGE

You can choose the size of your mailbox. There are no restrictions!

    * Daily statistics by Web 30257 Mail sent, by SMTP 17235 Mail sent, Mail received 1918493 Mail sent

    ANTISPAM

Automatic antispam and mass mailing filters

    * messages marked as Spam 93.02% over the past 24 hours

    ANTIVIRUS

Antivirus automatically checks all incoming and outgoing mail

    * messages with viruses found 0.75% over the past 24 hours

    PERSONAL WEBSITE HOSTING

We offer 20Mb space for your website

The host is in Russia, but is translated to English. This provider allows(and promotes) the use of IMAP.

It has a nice simple web site builder with ftp access as well, although I have never hosted anything there.

It has 3 choices for non .ru domains for email, mail15.com, mail333.com and pisem.net (whatever pisem means)

    Give it a try.

Thank you. Lots of new mail services you guys are coming with which I have never heard of :( . I'll add MyRealBox and mail15 to the list :P

  3. I didnt like NFS Underground and I liked the second underground game less than that. It was kind of boring, and the free roaming in NFS U2 wasn't really fun after a while. NFS Most Wanted, on the other side, was much better. The free roaming there is cool, and the furnished the game play. NFS Carbon was supposed to be a better version of Most Wanted but I didnt like it as much as the one before.

  4. Always keep your softwares up-to-date. Once I got a rootkit virus. I found out that I got it because my Java was not updated. I think it was 5 updates behind or something. Silly me. I had a hard time removing it since it blocked all the softwares that could remove it. Took me a while to see that there was a process running in the process list which should not be there. When I deleted that everything went smooth, but I wasted a lot of time anyway. My automatic updates was on, but it did not do anything. So ALWAYS keep your programs up-to-date and sometimes you will have to check manually as the computer is no Einstein!

  5. I use Opera to check my emails from my hosting account here at Xisto, and the Internet sites for all my other accounts (GMail, Hotmail, etc.). On my laptop I use Kontact/KMail to get my emails. Personally I like Opera's email client the best. It works quickly and simply and does everything I need it to.

the hosting account email. is there so that you can make a Xisto mail? f.ex. myname@Xisto.com? or are we supposed to make a new e-mail account with any other email service and use it as contact address?

  6. If there was(or is) a paradise which you came to after you die. Would you want to die? I would. Why have good and bad moments on earth when you can have only good time in paradise. Why be here and get knowledge from school and waste so many years when you could get all the knowledge you wanted in one second in paradise? Wouldn't that be better?
