  1. I'm going for my summer vacation tomorrow and totally forgot that I don't have sufficent credits to keep my account up. I will be leaving tomorrow, but I will try to get a amount of credits before I leave. I will be gone for about a month, about 28 days or something.I should have got a lot of credits before I left, I know, but I forgot that I didn't have many left. I may not get access to Internet to where I'm going and thats why it is a problem. Any help, by giving me some credits, would be appreciated. Thanks!

  2. 1) "people use gmail" isn't a reason why it's good :P Just why it's popular. But, yeah, google/gmail has quite alot of cool tools
    2) You can never have too much space :D I saved about 1400 spam emails, and only used like 10%

    3) I didn't know that

    4) It's fee indeed :P

    5) More than one email?

    6) It stops spam going to your inbox, but it seems to make more spam than others

    7) True :D

    8) Meh, so are all emails

Everything you wrote made sense :(.

All those "reasons" weren't all that accurate and there are other reasons which makes more sense.

  3. If outlook still doesn't work for you try Mozilla's Thunderbird. It supports extensions like spellcheck, calendar, weather, yada yada.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird and it works like a charm. I recommend it. If you search the net you will get a tutorial on how to configure thunderbird for Gmail.

I think this page covers how to configure: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Gmail_withd_Mozilla_Suite

  4. Microsoft is starting to get nervous since everybody is taking over their zones. Maybe they are getting so frustrated that they make low-quality stuff. Like Windows Vista has a lot of flaws and bugs. It is unstable and a lot of programs aren't compatible. They gotta stay away from people like Google who still has some good stuff in their hands.

  5. I didnt play Mafia before this year: 2007. I saw that the graphics weren't as good as the games that come out nowdays, but when I think back to that year when it came out, well it must have been the game with the best graphics. The gameplay isn't bad either. The idea of having speed restrictions was cool too, but they should have had different speed limit different places. I hope they fix that if they make a Mafia 2, which I've heard they will. The storyline was really cool. The end cinematic is the best I've seen ever. So passionate :D. You don't get them like that nowdays. So what I'm trying to say is:MAFIA ROCKS!!!.......on the computer.

  6. I work for a cellular company so I might be able to help you. First of all, is it possible some form of moisture could have gotten inside of the phone? RAZRs are very sensitive to moisture and the keypad stopping to work is an indicator of this. You said you never dropped the phone which is good. Also, where do you keep the phone while it is not being used? Like a pocket or something?

I would assume he does. Like where else could he put it when he is out and not using the phone? I assume that when you say pocket you also meen bag, backpack, jacket...?

  7. I cant really say my top 5. I haven't really read that many books which can be listed as a good one, but Harry Potter would certainly be there. Lord of the Rings would not be my nr 1. The story and the concept was really cool. Tolkien made a new detailed world, but the book wasn't that good written. He had big unessasary dialogues.
Maybe Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. The riddle was so cool.

    For now:

    1. Harry Potter2. Angels and Demons?
    3. Lord of the Rings

    (3. because of the concept and story and the outcome of the games)

  8. I have never really liked iPods or anything from Apple that starts with a small "i" and continues with a big letter :). So I don't really think much of this one. Does people reallly remember what phones are for anymore? Mobiles are being complicated with alot of stuff now. It's great and all isnt there a border where you have too stop? I don't really know much about the phone so I'm not going to say alot of dirt about it. It may be great, but for now I'll be against it :)

  9. Yeah the game is great. There are similarities from the prequels and improvements. Like the faces arent too much smudged like in Vice City so thats a plus for the graphics. The new one thats coming is going to be greater isn't it? Big breakthrough? Grand Theft Auto IV: The story of a russian immigrant.

  10. I'm sorry to say that but this is a STUPID QUESTION, because life is a big gift and if you WANT to die than you certainly won't go to heaven. So this is a stupid question...

You are saying that if "you want to die then you wont go to heaven". You seem pretty sure, but what proof do you have? These are divine questions that are only brainstorming because everybody who are posting on this forum are alive and have never experienced death. Your argument dont't really go against my question either as I didn't ask if we will go to heaven if we want to die. My question was if you would want to skip life and go to heaven if there was a place like that where you could get whatever you wanted.

  11. Hello everyone!

I figure since this is the book forum, it would be an interesting debate to try and define literature. My thoughts aren't necessarily right, and I'd love to hear what you have to say! :)

In the simplest of terms. I believe that literature is any piece of written word that contains meaning. Most of the time it also revolves around a central plot or idea. I also believe that it always has characters, whether that is simply the poetic voice or the different people in a play or novel. These characters can even be animals or objects that are personified.

I believe that there are many different types of literature, but I feel that the motivation behind writing it is usually the same. Literature always reflects on the society and culture of the world. It is a way that people can observe their world through art and writing. So in the same sense that the world changes as time passes, so too does the style of literature. Literature always contains some sort of moral or theme, often times relating to problems of current society; for example, sexism or racism.

I don't think that literature became more important over time, however, I do believe that literature from the past now has a more historical aspect that didn't exist at the time of itis publishing. This is simply because now we can learn more about the world at that time much in the same way we would inspect cave paintings :)

I think that the historical aspect of literature is one of the reasons why we study it. It allows us a creative looking glass into the world at that time. We temporarily get inside of the mind of the author and, therefore, live in their time through their perspective of the world. Even though all fiction pieces of literature are not actually written historically or with the intention of being historical, we can still learn a lot about the problems and beliefs of people at that time.

Another reason why we study literature is because by studying it we learn morals and lessons that help explain, justify, and give meaning to life and the world. It is an artistic way to explore the unexplainable. In science and math, you can't study the difference between right and wrong, the power of love, or the courage of man. Only through literature can we immerse ourselves in these ideas.

Lastly, literature is fun. It is a form of entertainment that almost every one enjoys at one point in their life. Stories and poems allow us to travel to different worlds, meet new people, and go on exciting adventures. Our imaginations are given a chance to flourish through writing and reading, bringing to life colorful images and people that before were simply flat text on a page.

Well... what do you think? Agree or disagree with me? Gotta love literature, either way :)

A long definition there. You have really been thinking haven't you? I have really never thought about it. Literature has always just been literture for me. It has had something to do with smart writing\stories in a way that can't be described. I looked in the Oxford Talking Dictionary and found this:

    literature /lt()rt/ n. LME. [(Fr. litterature f.) L lit(t)eratura, f. lit(t)era LETTER n.1: see -URE.]

1 Acquaintance with books; polite or humane learning; literary culture. Now arch. rare. LME.

2 Literary work or production; the realm of letters. L18.

3 a Literary productions as a whole; the body of writings produced in a particular country or period. Now also spec., that kind of written composition valued on account of its qualities of form or emotional effect. E19.

b The body of books and writings that treat of a particular subject. M19. c Printed matter of any kind. colloq. L19.

  12. If Harrys scar\Harry is a horcrux - well...that would make Harry kill himself would it not? This doesn't seem too weird either really as Harry is loosing a dear friend in every book nowdays..:) Why not die and meet his family, Sirius, Dumbledore in the after-life? But if Rowling did it that way, she must have done it in a special way because it would be lame if he suddenly uses avada kadevra on himself and then THE END.
