Sucks for everyone who got stranded/laid off...pretty damn sudden too, if only they had admitted they were doing so badly. Either way, I'm all about WestJet.

How can you only believe in Christmas? Beliefs are personal, but organized religion has structure...you can't just say "I believe in Christmas, but not the rest of the Christian faith." You're either in or you're out, not that either one is better.

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Combos Whats your best combo?
taylor replied to Joshthegreat's topic in Computer Gaming
Gotta love TH games. My favouite is still the first. Best combo, warehouse level, through the "secret" room, 250000 points. Doesn't sound like a lot compared to today's games, but anyone who's played it knows it's harder than it sounds. Manuals my *bottom*... -
Different Gods for different people. Everyone needs something to believe in, even if that means believing in nothing. I think Ben Harper said it best:My choice is what I choose to doAnd if I?m causing no harmIt shouldn?t bother youYour choice is who you choose to beAnd if your causin? no harmThen you?re alright with me.Now, let's go burn one down.

Just recently got hosted here. My site wasn't quite done, so I put up a "coming soon" page. Now I'm trying to upload my site, but it keeps coming to the coming soon page. I deleted the coming soon page (index.html) and replaced it with the new site (also index.html)...now, it just comes up with a 404 error! I'm just putting the files in the root dir, should I be doing something else?? Help! (site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/)

I live in Canada, I grew up in Calgary, but I just moved to Montreal. It's like a completely different country. That's the incredible part about North America: you can visit an entirely different region without leaving your country! Anyways, I've backpacked across Europe, and I'd love to go back and see more (Polish girls are easily the most beautiful in the world - seriously, stop laughing), but Asia and Latin America interest me as well. I think the next place I'd like to go is Australia; I met a ton of Aussies while in Europe and our countries have so much in common. They're like warm Canadians, minus hockey.

That's a touchy subject. Unfortunately, the most practical solution would be to put the cats down. As for the pound, animal shelters are non-profit organizations, they can't spend money for ads on every pet. It's sad how many they have to put down, but there's just so many without a home. Listen to Bob Barker: have your animal spayed or neutered.

Mozilla Firefox Poll Give your view about the FireFox browser
taylor replied to yasir's topic in The Internet
MS got lazy when they overtook Netscape and had no real competition. For years, IE has changed so very little. Safari changed everything for Mac with tabbed browsing, a built-in pop-up blocker and search bar. Firefox brought those changes to PC, and it's about time. Wonder how long before we see Safari for PC? -
Why play videogames? Why do crossword puzzles? It's a fun way to push your mind. Besides, its harder than it looks.

Oh those bygone days of teen angst victimization. How I miss them.

For those interested, there's a book all about this stuff: "Googlewhack Adventures" by Dave Gorman.

I've tried so many ways to submit my various sites to various engines. Google's crawler supposedly picks up on anything and everything with meta tags, but they should get a submit system just in case.
