Here are my gripes:1) Their site is down more than it?s up.2) Now they?ve started opening multiple spam windows while we surf.3) Some of these spam windows won?t close without re-booting the computer. 4) Their scroll bar interferes with Google?s scroll bar, cutting off the first few characters of every entry, making them hard to read.5) We can?t see the page rank of sites we go to, because The Netbux URL gets in the way.6) We can?t copy and paste the links for the same reason as #5. (Both of these gripes have workarounds?I?m really just steamed about #7.)7) The last straw?they?ve dumped PayPal. The main attraction for me was the fun of having ?found? money turn up in my PayPal account every once in awhile. Now I?m supposed to start over with some other goofy thing to complicate what should have been a nice, simple process. This also makes me question their ethics. I?ve been with PayPal for years, as a buyer and a seller, and never had a problem. In barely a month, NetBux has managed to alienate them. That makes me very suspicious. NO THANKS! BYE-BYE NETBUX.

According to Web CEO, your most important keyword should be in your URL to increase your PR for search engines. I have no idea how important it is, however. Suz

I haven't been able to get in for 2 days. Before that it was a "server update." Last time I got in, they said they now have 150,000 members. That's up from 40,000 when I joined. I guess they just can't keep up with the traffic. I'm going to pull them off my "recommend" list and stop promoting them, but I'll check in every once in a while and see if they get their act back together. I was afraid it was too good to be true. I read on another board that linking to a link farm can damage Page Rank or cause your site to be blacklisted. I trust this board more. Can one of you experts please clarify this?Also, does it hurt PR to link to a lesser ranked site? Is that why some sites won't swap links with anyone having less than 4 PR?I'm just starting out on a traffic-building campaign. I sure don't want to work that hard, only to find out I did more damage than good. TIA,Suz

Sorry, I meant "categories" not "forums" in my last post. I checked those other styles and they are AWESOME. I really like ThrillKill and Whatisreal. Now I'm tempted to start fooling around and design my own. Hold me back. I have real work to do. AARRGGHH! Suz

Here's the challenge. I want each forum to look different, since they come from 4 different websites. From what I can see, I have to change everything at once. I was hoping I could work around that by putting a little logo on each new forum title line, but I couldn't find any way to do that, either. This is NOT a big deal. I love my forums just the way they are. It's just fun to tweak things a little here and there. Suz

Tonic set mine up for me over here and I'm thrilled with them. I figured how to ad my Google ads and change my logo. When I get time I want to spiff up the style a little, but there just aren't enough hours in the day. C'mon over, take a look, and post something. You don't even have to join. Your forums look great. I guess I still have some work to do. Please explain about updates and getting hacked. I never would have thought of such a thing.

Yet another update to a topic we've already beaten to death. 1) Yesterday, I posted that Netbux was too slow. Well, yesterday it was too slow. Today it's fine. Who knows whether the problem was me, them, sun spots, or those little green men nobody can see but me?2) When you search from Netbux, their URL stays on top. That means the Google PageRank function doesn't work--no biggie unless your search is for high-ranking sites.3) If you're searching for sites to link to, or you need to copy the address for whatever reason, you can't pull it off the address bar, for the same reason as #2--it's the Netbux address that shows up, there. What you can do is right click on a safe, blank area of the site you're on--not an image or a link--and select "properties." You can copy the URL from that screen, but make sure it looks right. It isn't always easy to tell if your mouse is really pointing to the main page. I don't mean to be vague, but I'm not all that technical.After a couple of days working with Netbux, I think it's a nice little sideline--like an affiliate program--not a new career path.Suz

Boy, do I feel stooooooooopid! The page ranking tool is an advanced option of the Google toolbar. I had it all along. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with a Netbux search, so that's a drag. Suz

My sites are all in there okay, but I don't want to waste my time submitting my URL to sites that Google has banned. I need to learn more about the way Google "thinks." Suz UPDATE DUH! I did a Google search on "google banned" and the first hit gave me what I needed--a tool that tells if a site has been banned. I don't know how it works, but I can link to it, so that will do for now. Here's the link if anyone else wants to try it. Banned from Google? What I'd really like to do is put a little graphic next to the name on each category, so people can recognize when the forums go from one site to another. Anybocy know if that's possible with PhpBB? Suz
