  1. And just to add some to what folkrockfan says, because as usual I agree fully with her... Why is it every time someone is bothered by something like this the first thing they say is if they had power they'd put a stop to it? Does no one remember what it was like to live in a free society where the free market took care of itself? I assure you, the advertisers would not be wasting their money if they didn't have thorough market research that showed them the demographic they're trying to reach is watching such and such at this time slot or that. Just because E.D. or bladder control doesn't apply to you doesn't mean it doesn't apply to segments of the audience. Remember, the population is aging quite a bit more these days. Seems like every other ad I see on TV is for some old-people drug for one ailment or another and they all make me squeamish and reaching for the remote control.
  2. Well, I guess because of all those spelling mistakes, I have to assume you either copied and edited to make that look like your own, or you actually took the time to write all that down just to address this problem, in which case, even with the spelling errors, COOL! I think I'd pretty much stand behind this bill as long as I knew and approved of the specifics. Looks like a pretty good beginning. I couldn't care less about partisan politics though, they shouldn't be partisan, they should be pro-American. We'll work on that one of these days though...
  3. I didn't grow up in Beverly Hills or anywhere close. I absolutely guaranty that kids are still mowing lawns in the summer in Medium/small town America to earn a few extra bucks. Additionally, a small landscaping business is a very profitable venture for anyone to get into. Let the free market take care of itself and it will, every time. We don't need illegal immigrants for any reason. They're criminals for crying out loud! We've got enough of the criminal class as it is! The reason slave labor was brought to the British colonies as well as Britania itself was because the colonists weren't willing to be slaves to the aristocracy. It was a class thing. Slaves were extremely expensive and required high overhead to maintain ($5000 initially, then food, housing, clothing, medical and all that), so don't downplay it like everyone owned a slave. It was pretty much a rare thing to know a family whose net worth allowed them that luxury. They paid dearly to have things done they considered beneath them. I'm not sure what you're intending to accomplish by saying the Irish were despised. At least they were mostly here legally. I'm sure there were some who weren't, but it wasn't wide spread like the problem today. Many peoples have been viewed in an unfavorable light when they were brought here legally to do heavy work, but they weren't forced to come here, they wanted to come here in hopes of building better lives for themselves. Think of the Chinese who were involved in the early railroads and mining 100-150 years ago. Many of them died, many went on and built themselves better lives and settled in this land creating a valuable diversity and opening the way for other Chinese immigrants to come here legally. There are many other cultures that could be cited as well such as Italians, Germans, Japanese, Koreans, etc. At one time or another, they faced adversity, had to work hard, and were not always welcomed by everyone, but many persevered and succeeded to establish themselves and thrive, legally. "Natives" are only indigenous to these lands longer then my family by some thousands of years. It's generally agreed by scientists that they immigrated to North and South America via the land bridge that connected NA to Siberia. The only difference is when they immigrated. I'm as much a native to this land as anyone else. And I like some immigration, less then allowed by congress now, but some. I absolutely abhor illegal immigration because it circumvents the law and order this nation needs to have to maintain civility and humanity. It circumvents our defenses against terrorists and diseases, as well as several felonious criminal classes such as sex-criminals, murderers, and drug dealers just to name a few. We must keep control of our borders or no one knows how many of these types will be here in a few years, a decade... Yeah. You're right. Let's not try to keep out the criminals. It's a losing battle, so let's all roll over and let them slash our throats and kill/rape all the children, men, and women who are here legally. Let's just give up before the shooting war has really started. That's the American way. [/sarcasm]
  4. You would be absolutely right Jim. That's the critter. I'm leaving them alone if they're not near the garden, but I shot the little fella today that was digging into the garden. I hope that's the end of it, but I fear it's not nearly the end. They're everywhere. Thanks for that link!
  5. Well I can't afford to make exceptions. Once word has leaked out a pirate has gone soft, it's nothing but work work work all the time!

  6. I don't even know where to start, but due to mis-information and grammar and the fact I couldn't even read the thing all the way through because of those two problems, I don't give it a passing grade. It's in need of factual arguments and sources as well as refinement in a grammatical sense. Plus, it's beating a dead horse. You need fresh subject material to keep your audience awake. Smoking, guns, abortion, alcohol, cell phones in cars are all things people aren't so interested in for a variety of reasons. Find a topic that actually benefits people and enhances the freedom and American experience we're so well known for.
  7. I had to go work out of town last year for quite a while, like about six months or more. By the time my wife, the cats and I returned, nature had moved back in and we had rats that had built nests in the truck's engine compartment and caused some damage tearing a hole in a hard-to-get-at coolant line and they removed a ten inch long section of washer fluid tubing. I cleared it all out and put a nice little poisonous treat in its place in case they get tempted again. They caused about $60 worth of damage in the car when they built a nest next to the battery. I'd hate it if one of the cats ate a poisoned rat, but I doubt it'd happen. My wife drove the Passat to the farmer we get fresh eggs from while I was still in Seattle and they had a dog (she died recently) that was especially adept at going after rats. Well, that dog was all over the car when she pulled up and the farmer told her to pop the hood which she did and when she opened it, there was a very large pack rat just boldly staring at her. I swear, nothing but a rat dog scares one of those things! So the dog got a hold of it and apparently a virtual blood bath ensued and an epic chase that took the rat from one car to the farmer's car back to the Passat and finally out to the lawn where it met its demise. Now I've got rat poison in both vehicles and haven't had any trouble with them since. I hate it when we have to leave because nature encroaches on our home so quickly. I don't think the neighborhood bear would be showing up so frequently if we hadn't gone. I had to confront him face to face on our back deck a month ago when he was stealing bird suet. He didn't respect my authority until I actually stepped toward him. And he was only about 10 feet away by the time I did that. Bad bear... But I wouldn't shoot a bear unless he was rabid or something. Same goes for skunks. I like the little guys, even though they're rodents, because they eat the smaller vermin so they're beneficial.Update: At a little past four this afternoon PDT I shot and killed with multiple gunshot wounds the gopher/ground squirrel whose parent(s) are photographed above. I hope that's the last one that's doing damage to the garden because I really hate to shoot mammals that size. Although I'm amazed i can take something like that out using open sites on the .22 Rugar 10/22 rifle I've got... The rodent was approximately 10 inches long and weighed around a pound. It was much smaller then what we believe to be its parents (in the pictures above) who live down by the well, near a hanging target of mine ironically, though it seemed to be not suffering from malnutrition.
  8. I never thought of a snake... I wonder how it'd get along with the cats... Snakes (gopher snakes) eat, presumably, gophers and other rodents smaller then gophers. They're strickly carnivores, thus they're not a threat to the garden, so I'd prefer the snake, if the cats didn't mind... But I'd need a whole clutch of snakes with this rodent population!
  9. So, as some of you know, I do a bit if varmint shooting and I don't have to go far. There is a little balcony on the third floor of my house which is where I spend much of my time in front of the computer unless it just gets too damn hot. Many people who see the balcony think of it as a tree stand like a hunter would use to stay up and away from deer (apparently they never look up). I have a good view to the garden and in the afternoons I sometimes count as many as four chipmunks in the garden harvesting sunflower seeds for the winter. I suppose I should thank them for that, but they also like to re-locate seeds my wife or I have planted and I shoot them for that. So far this year I've shot and killed four chipmunks, but they must breed like rabbits or have a veritable metropolis above the garden in the woods. The cats have killed an additional four or more along with a few field mice. What, you say? Guns can be used for something other than killing people? Shocking! But I digress... Shooting in the garden has been suspended until I get a telescope for the rifle because of the damage I've done shooting around a chipmunk. I took a tomato plant right off, though I clipped it clean and for some reason it's still alive, but not likely to produce any fruit. I shot off a larger branch of a pepper plant that actually had peppers on it, and I've damaged some PVC in a couple places. It gets frustrating when they just stand there while bullets are whizzing right past them and so I open up a can of rapid-fire which never does anything but cause collateral damage. I need a scope bad. But when I'm slow and patient with the trigger, I often hit my target with just one or two shots. This little guy is next... I saw him or one of his kin today run away from the garden and when I went to find out what he was doing there, I found he'd dug a hole (or two) from outside the fence to inside the fence and I think they're planning a raid of some sort on a patch of onions....
  10. Gosh. My post was so long ago, I'd forgotten all about it and now the gophers are everywhere including the garden! Not good. I'm going to have to try the drowning method and see what happens. I'll report back as I know everyone here is waiting patiently for my full report. On the plus side, I shot the head clean off a chipmunk today. His crime? His family has been re-locating seeds in our garden and around here, that carries the death sentence. Say "goodbye" to this little furry monster, it's on my short list of death row inmates...
  11. Well, if your speech is anything like your grammar, you'll fail. I give the silly little outline above a D- (only since you didn't include an "F" as an option) because in my first read, I found 13 grammatical errors, and 13 is my lucky number.
  12. Spinal Tap is the only band I see in that list that is appropriate to the occasion; a fake band for a fake cause. Just about what one would expect from an event associated with Algore.
  13. What's next? You want to make having a conversation with your passengers illegal too? Want to outlaw radios in the car? Lots of accidents have occurred because of the driver's distraction due to both of these things, yet I don't hear anyone yelling for them to be outlawed. I'm sure many "Hannas" have been killed playing out in their lawns from distracted drivers, and distracted driving is already against the law. Laws that deflect or remove personal responsibility are not only bad laws punishing responsible people for the behavior of a few morons, but they are actually un-American and anti-freedom. Stop with the stupid emotional "it's for the children" garbage and go do something useful like inventing a system that actually makes cars safer in the hands of distracted drivers or invent a cure for the common cold. I'm sick and *BLEEP*ing tired of being told by the state I can't do this and I can't do that just because some imbecile somewhere allegedly killed some cute little kid doing something stupid. I have an idea... Let's make a law against stupid people so we don't all get punished!
  14. I actually did the flight number to wingdings and coincidence or not, it's super creepy. It's a plane, two pieces of paper which look like twin towers, a skull&crossbones, and a Jewish star of David. Just out of curiosity I did that same thing to my name and GW's and it was nothing like that. You have to remember that that day was a day of great energy. Things happened here that've never happened and the events of that day will reverberate in history just like the rolling waves a tossed pebble in a body of water will create. The reverberation of all that energy shakes the very cosmos and the people who put it all into motion didn't just decide on a whim one day to carry it all out. They're occultists, Lucifarians, Illumanati, high-degree hidden Free Masons, the same people who designed Washington D.C. using magic symbology to make up the very streets it's composed of, placing the capitol building on a specific latitude and longitude because of the power focus. There are entire books written on the subject of the power of numbers and how they've been used in history to give advantage to those who know how to use that Knowledge to their own gain. It is said, Knowledge is power (Scientia est Potentia). This saying refers to a specific occult knowledge and that Knowledge is tightly guarded and only a very few people ever even know it exists and has existed through the past five ages. When the population of humans is nearly wiped out every so often, the Knowledge is kept in vaults for certain families to use to continue their empires and allow them to enslave the people throughout the next age. And every time the masses finally get a clue, a new global population-killing event ends that age and we all have to start over again. Unless we're lucky enough to be born into the families who have access to the Knowledge of past ages.
  15. Having a fatalist outlook regarding civility in the workplace won't solve the problem and it's this attitude that has caused modern power-brokers on this planet to continue to gain power and corrupt their offices to such a point it'll make Caligula's Rome look tame in comparison. It's already come to pass in many places in the halls of globalist government, and we see it in the newspapers all the time. Gay porn stars making visits to the White House, stories of rampant drug abuse, child sex-slave rings, torture in prisons all around the world. All these things have happened because the people roll over and say, "as long as it doesn't affect me, I don't care." And they force inoculations on our children by threat of their removal from the household of their parents and most people just say, well it's an inoculation, it won't hurt them. But few people wonder why Autism is a veritable plague right now. The only reason people pay the Federal income tax to the I.R.S. is because they're afraid of being thrown in jail or having all their possessions stolen from them by this corrupt federal reserve's attack dog when, in reality, there is no law on the books that says a tax on a person's income can be enforced because that would constitute slavery which was outlawed after the Civil War. Furthermore the 16th amendment was never ratified. But only a very tiny particle of a percentage of the United State's population refuses to pay. What would happen if we all refused? We'd overturn slavery in this country. But people have this fatalist attitude toward the status quo so nothing changes until the abuses become so grave that hundreds of thousands of people are being slaughtered, but by the time it hits that critical mass, it'll be way past time to complain. It'll be next to impossible to do anything about the injustices and to right the wrongs of the corrupt elite power brokers who got their positions of power through nepotism among other ugly means.
  16. Our not quoting the previous thread doesn't mean we forgot about it. How could we forget about it? And, Mermaid, isn't school out for summer break in Texas? Why are you still obsessing about school when you don't even go to school? I'm starting to think you just like the attention of these types of threads. I'm beginning to think you're making up a large amount of this garbage so we'll all feel sorry for you...
  17. If an activity is a part of human nature or tradition, does that make it right? Can we not evolve as humans to a better place; learning from our ancestors and others who've blazed the trail in front of us? A tradition that doesn't work anymore and actually causes more harm than good should be discarded in favor of a new way, don't you agree Buff? Humans have the unique place in this world in that they're not forced to adhere to the rules of primal, reptilian instinct and are born with free will and the ability to control our impact upon the world and even the future. Inherent in this responsibility is the need for us to all be able to agree upon what's right and what's wrong. Traditionally nepotism has been used in a mixed light because empires have grown and families have grown by using it along with arranged marriages to some success. In more modern times, however, we find it to be a regular hindrance to progress in society mainly due to the fact it's usually no longer needed and more often than not, it's resented by those who came in to the game playing by one set of rules (thinking that position gained is position earned through seniority and competence, not favoritism or nepotism) only to find that the rug of rules is at some point pulled out from under them. Mainly the tradition of nepotism has mostly gone from most cultures and civility due to the fact it usually does so much harm to the organization that practices it, the organization ultimately fails if it's not reversed in time. In the climbing of the rungs of the ladder of society and occupation, there are really no short cuts. In the end, skipping a rung will usually lead to losing two. I'm betting Canon Inc. doesn't have much if any Nepotism going on or they'd have failed long ago. Politics is rife with this tradition and look at the mess it's in. I rest my case.
  18. As happens on a frequent basis, Mike's talking out his *bottom* because he doesn't have any real world experience with the subject matter and he's a post *BLEEP*. Being someone who's actually taken D-lysergic acid dialethymide-tartrate 25 a hand full of times in my youth, I can speak to this subject matter, but I'd first point you to a website blog of someone who appears to know what he's talking about and critiques every House episode very well, in my opinion. I don't know which episode you're referring to by name, so you pick from the list: http://www.politedissent.com/house_pd.html The thing about LSD is it's not made in a proper laboratory these days, instead you'd be lucky if it wasn't made in someone's dirty bathtub. Also, and because of the previous fact, it's not pharmaceutically pure and more often than not it contains Strychnine which acts as a kick start for the experience but since it's a rat poison it's not exactly what the doctor ordered. Furthermore, because of the uncertainty of the conditions of the environment where the drug was manufactured and the ability of the person or people making it, its effects are unreliable at best. I've gotten my hands on what I assume to be pretty good stuff when I was 19 living in Virginia and before hand I studied and wrote a paper in high school on the effects and mechanics of LSD relating to the human organism. Before watching that House episode, I'd never heard of LSD curing a headache and in the environment in which Dr. House works, I'd certainly think the side effects would be less then desirable to say the least and he should've taken the rest of the day off to take the acid trip to a more controlled environment. Acid is nothing more then a mechanism or trigger that causes the release of a chemical from the brain that changes the way we see, hear, feel, and think in subtle ways for 12 to 18 hours or so. The acid is in the spinal fluid for some time, about a month or so, but only goes to the brain for a few minutes. It's completely non-addictive and actually anti-addictive (in its pure form) and I considered it a "philosophical high" when I did it. I could not get high on the drug twice in the same two week period so it was impossible to become dependent on it in any way. Having said all that, I don't recommend it because you simply could be getting something altogether different then what you paid for and it could cause serious consequences. Get a chemistry degree, at least a B.S., I'd recommend M.S. and make it yourself. That's the only way to foolproof it, but you'll probably have better things to do if you went that far in your education!
  19. And yet you're clearly obsessed with "sex objects" according to your stupid avatar and sigs. What's so hard to understand about the old biblical proverb: "You reap what you sow"? Stop dressing like a ****, stop obsessing about sex and idolizing TV personalities. Start studying classical literature, start developing an appetite for religion or at least spirituality, and when you talk about these things, the little pervs will be so turned off they'll actually run in the opposite direction. You'll attract someone (some day) who's also educated and wants you for what's between your ears. You reap what you sow. Remember that.
  20. Your happy go-lucky description of illegal immigrants is sickening to me Gamer. Are you some kind of apologist or are you just playing Devil's Advocate? The fact of the matter is when I was young, I was the guy who mowed lawns to earn a little extra money in the summers. That's a good job for kids. Now days, kids have a harder time finding these unskilled jobs when they're in high school because of the "competition" you embrace. As for prices, I would be happy to pay more to employ legal workers to repair my home then to see my hard earned money get sent to Mexico. I try not to buy Chinese garbage too, though it's not always possible. The more money that stays in America, the better off we all are. As it stands, we've got a very dim, 3rd world country future unless we bring the money flow back to the United States. Happy Independence Day.
  21. I don't know where you're at, you might update your profile, but AZ governor has finally said enough is enough and has demanded that all businesses check the legality of the person they're hiring and that's the key. Deportation doesn't need to cost a thing if the government would simply enforce laws already on the books, stiffen the penalties for businesses who illegally hire (I'm talking HUGE fines and jail time), and most of the illegals will leave. Make sure there isn't anything here for them and they'll go away, and if you did that to the vagrant population, they'd go away too. I promise, it sounds mean, like shouldn't we all feel sorry for those poor homeless people and pity them for their misfortunes, etc., well, drop coins in their jars and like flies to a carcass, they'll come in droves and cause all sorts of problems. There's a better way... Help people help themselves. Seal the borders because, for no other reason, the people passing through are bringing with them a host of infectious diseases like leprosy, TB, and all manner of ailments, then they seek medical treatment and we're suppose to treat them for free? I don't think so. I think they should be turned away from public hospitals if they're "undocumented" and they can go to a charity hospice if they want. I, too, and sick and damn tired of paying for their free lunches while I watch my once mighty dollar decline to near worthlessness and every week when we go to the store our spendings are increasing dramatically while our income remains unchanged. Bush supposedly lowered taxes, but the economics of the stage his administration set have done more harm to the middle class in this country then any tax hike could've. Inflation, which is a number much higher then the official government figures which don't take into account fuel, food, or housing, is, in and of itself, a tax and it's between 10 and 12% right now and going higher while the fed refuses to raise interest rates because of its lie that inflation is hovering around 4.5 to 5%. We're under attack from our own government and you'd have to be in a vegetative state not to see it. I give it just a few more months and the Canadian Loon is worth more then our dollar. Mark my words.
  22. These rolling incendiary car bombs weren't capable of causing much if any damage so they were obviously not put together by the professionals in MI5 or CIA or Mussed. But that doesn't stop the governments from creating mass hysteria and TERROR as a result, using it to encourage the masses to give up even more of their personal freedoms and privacy for "security". When an attack actually works and destroys significant life and property, then you'll know the government is responsible. A group of semi-militant, under-funded, loose-knit people who have a need to do stupid things in the name of their cause is who carried out the "attacks" the other day. Nothing more. See news report and click on the video here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Actually, I think I may have been generous to the people who carried out these "terrorist actions" in my above statement. According to this article, it may have been nothing more then drunk teenagers wanting to see more Fire, ala Beavis and Butthead.
  23. When I was a young lad I stupidly sometimes stared at the sun until it burned a hole in the back of my eyes. I did that many times, but the holes continued to regenerate. I still see just fine in the middle of my eyes, but I'm more sensitive to light now. When I was in high school I had an eye exam and they determined my eye site to be 20/10 which is better then 20/20 by 100%. Now, though, they're not nearly as good. As I approach 40 years old my eyes are 20/20 in my left eye and 20/15 in my right eye. I actually have corrected sunglasses to bring the left eye to the same level as the right one! But I find the glasses do something to the eye muscles that makes your vision worse over time so I try not to wear them too often.
  24. Well, I'll tell you something that might just surprise you. And you can check this out on your own: Find someone who either is an emergency dispacher at your local 9-1-1 call center or pretty much any LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) and ask if the rate of craziness increases right before the full moon to peak on the full moon each month. The fact is, the roads are patrolled more heavily during these times then when the moon is waning. The moon surely influences human and animal behavior and it's easy to research, so don't believe me, check it out. Talk to animal control officers about their work loads throughout the month. It's second nature to civil-servants that they just end up working harder during the waxing phase of the moon, especially the final quarter, then they do during the first two quarters.
  25. I was going to agree with the use of lemon on your teeth being a really bad idea, but then I read MB's entire first post and realized my concern is baseless because of the baking soda. The PH of lemon is quite low, probably around 2.5 (acid) but since it's being neurtralized with baking soda (alkaline), thus the bubbles just like if you put the soda on the terminals of a car battery, it's perfectly safe. Just be sure you use both, and don't forget the baking soda. Acid will eat your teeth just as sure as a can of Coke will for the very same reason. It's not the sugar in the Coke that eats your teeth, it's the Phosphoric Acid that eats them! Thanks for sharing MB!
