Hi and welcome to the forum. Thanks for the introduction, I have been into game making myself but with different engines than the one you mentioned in your introduction post. I mostly program the bits in C++ (hardcoded) but it is nice to get tips and ideas for alternative engines.I hope you will enjoy your stay and just ask if you need someone to guide you around. Send me a PM if you want to chat about games.

Err... The civilizations before us and that is why the ice age come again and again? Who told you that? I am not sorry for questioning your post as it is way beyond any logic. CO2 and several other greenhouse gases are naturally present on the planet and is released into the atmosphere by vulcanos and marsh land, among other natural sources. If you look up the ice ages you'll see that there have been four ice ages on the planet; the first one in the early Proterozoic Age, one in the Cryogenian period, one in the Late Ordovician Period and the last one in the Carboniferous and early Permian Periods. What civilization present at that time could possibly have cause an ice age? The theories of why ice ages come are various and complex. A change of the earths orbit around the sun, changes in the tectonic plates and changes of oceanic and continental crust on the earths surface are just some. What we see now regarding the weather is both natural and man made. The currents in the oceans change with regularity, a change in the southern winds and the nothern cold fronts (the polar front) happens from time to time and is linked with the change of currents in the Paficic Ocean and the Southern Atlantic making irregular weather and warmer climate several places on earth. Second the greenhouse gases takes up to 50 years to come into effect and taking into consideration the hundred of thousands of tons of C02, Freon, Butane, etc the world has released into the atmosphere since the start of the industrial revoulution two hundred years ago - we are only seeing the beginning of man made climate changes.

My personal opinion about smoking is that it is easy to quit but hard not to start again. I have quit a few times myself and the last time I didn't smoke for two years until I bought a pack of cigarettes at the gas station totally unaware.I do see the herb cigarettes may be helpful if you want to quit smoking, but nicotine chewing gum or smokeless tobacco is equally as good and more healthier (with a few exceptions regarding the types of the smokeless tobacco you can get in the shop). It is better to throw away the cigarettes, buy lots of salty pringles and work yourself through the first week by physical training until the body gets used to the lack of nicotine.

Let me tell you a story from my military service; a few years ago we on foot patrol in a remote area of our area of operations where the point (leader of the patrol) sighted a small object on the ground with the same size as a Yougoslavian PMA mine. It was rather dark and rainy and being on soft ground with vegetation we halted, called EOD for backup and waited. We stood there in the freezing rain for about three hours until the area was cleared and it turned out to be a box of smokeless tobacco someone had thrown away. Why did we stop and wait for three hours? It was an unknown object, we could not clearly see what it was, and the lifes of the squad members was at risk. The same applies in the civilian life, any unaccounted for object in the street, railway stations, bus stops and so on has to be dealt with with the greatest care as it is your life that is at risk. Any Londoner who experienced the frequent IRA bombings in the 1970s and 1980s will tell the same thing - that is why the police took the cardboard box so seriously. I think the suicide bomber haloween costume was silly and not appropriate considering the change in the western community since 9/11, Lebanon - Israel conflict and Iraq.

I used Yahoo, Ask Jeves and Meta Crawler - all in combination for each search. Sometimes Yahoo gave the best results, other times Meta Crawler or Ask Jeves. I remember being a frequent user of the Yahoo directory which was an ok service (at that time) for quick information from a selected range of internet sites within one particular category.

Hi all,Just signed up for the forum and decided to introduce myself for the rest of the community. I've spent some time browsing the forum before I decided to join (to check the level of the forum and the forum members), and it looks okay to me so far (if not I would not have registered )I am 29 years old, from Scandinavia and work in a software company as a beta tester and database controller / compiler. I bought my first computer in 1984 (C=128) and have owned several computers since then(Amiga and PC). I program in C++, C#, Perl, SQL and from time to time Java and Java Script when I feel for it. Hardware and TCP/IP are also two of my interest. When not spending time in front of the computer I enjoy cars and engines, beer, having a chat with friends and of course my family (married with children). Spent a lot of time in the armed forces and seen the world and enjoy being out in the wilderness fishing or just walking around taking pictures.Well that's it.See you around.

Or something what? I do not see anything wrong borrowing an open connection for checking e-mail and news once in a while but if it turns into a habbit I do think it is wrong - especially if you stream and download large files that eats up the bandwith at the access point. However people put themselves in the situation when they broadcast unencrypted signals - it is like leaving your front door unlocked or leaving your car with the keys in it; some people will take the chance and whose to blame?

Fast Forward Rock'n Roll such as The Carburetors and Punk such as Dead Kennedys and The Ramones. I like all sorts of music and now I am stuck in the 1960s.
