  1. Yea, I keep a distro of Knoppix handy for just such an occasion.
  2. I have just started using ubuntu, and I am scared as hell. Its extremely weird jumping from an OS that you've been so used to for most of you computing life(Windows), to something different and new. Don't get me wrong, it's probably one of the best decisons I've ever made, but it will take some getting used to. Now that I have it up and running, with some of the programs I've been curious about, what do I do now? I mean, I went through the trouble of changing over, I dont want to waste my time just surfing the internet. I want to do something constructive on the linux platform...
  3. All I can say, is make sure its been checked/fixed for any early bugs that you've probably heard so much of. My brother just had to send his in because it was chewing up all his discs and eveuntally stopped reading discs all together.
  4. When I was using windows movie maker, I kept getting audio synch issues with my clips. Very annoying when trying to match visual cues with music. Sony Vegas is nice, but all its hyped up to be for the price; but still a very good editor.
  5. I'd say bring that border down to maybe just a 1px border, and try blending in your text and logo more. I like the glossy effect on the background, try to incorporate that with the text...
  6. Haha, yea, I always had a problem with getting text good.
  7. Link to Article: http://news.a.com.com/ Thought this was interesting. Really caught me offgaurd, didn't expect such a huge flaw on a GPL based program. Whats even more scary is they said they have about 30 other flaws found...
  8. I also do photography if anybodys interested...
