Any chance that Xisto - Web Hosting's windows hosting service will add and support ASP.NET 2.0 and SQL Server Express 2005?You currently support DNN 3.XX but development of 3.xx may be limited in the future and I would like to begin using DNN 4.XX.Thanks.

Do you mind giving a few instructions on how to set that up using H-Sphere? I signed up for a Google Apps account. They are requesting to redirect my domain to them at ghs.google.com. I don't want my main site pointed to them so I created a sub domain. subdomain.maindomain.org. I need to change the CName (DNS Lookup) of subdomain.maindomain.org to point to ghs.google.com. How do I do that in H-Sphere? Another question, if I create a subdomain, do I need to register that one with a service or is that handled "in house" by Xisto - Web Hosting? Thanks.

Does anyone know the address for H-Sphere. I am not currently on my home computer and need to access the control panel (H-Sphere) for my windows hosting account.Thanks.

It was written that DotNetNuke 3.0 is supported. Do I need to grab a copy and install this on my windows hosting account or is it already available? If I need to install, is there documentation on how to set it up on Xisto - Web Hosting. (DotNetNuke docs all state the shared hosting will need to tell me how to set it up)If is already installed on Xisto - Web Hosting servers, how do I access it for my site? Thanks.

How Do I Upload A Mssql Database To My Server?
SGCHS replied to SGCHS's topic in Web Hosting Support
I'm sorry, thought I did in the title. I will be using a MS SQL database based on Microsoft SQL Server 2000.Thanks. Notice from jlhaslip: *puts on glasses* yes, you did -
Lets not forget that MS software is on more computers than any other software. That does not excuse them releasing crappy software but it does mean their software is a bigger target. If you are going to hack and attack to cause trouble, you don't want to waste your time on a few machines but instead you go for the biggest impact.Wonder how many holes would be found in other software if there were a concerted effort to hack it like M$ gets hacked?Just my two cents.

I have a windows based account and would like to know how to upload my database to the server. Where do I find the path where the databases reside? Also, is there any documentation that is available? Thanks.

I am using Visual Web Developer Express 2005 to build my site. I need to know if this will work. The site is based on ASP.Net 2.0 and when I upload it to my server it will not display. What settings, if any, do I need to set to get this thing working. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

And how are you supposed to get those people educated? It's not like there aren't books in the Middle East. It is the same as here. We have a dumbed down populas that will believe anything our government tells them or disbelieve what the government says no matter what. I will tell you that unfortunately, force is about the only thing some people will respond to. Do you realize that during the first Gulf war when we did not go into Iraq that was considered a victory for SH? He stood up to the infidels and lived. This is a complicated issue and will not be solved overnight. Are we hearing the truth from our news media? Probally not. We have a sound bite attention span. Leave me alone, I need to get back to American Idol. We have to remain focused, use force if necessary and remove the grip that the radicals have on their population over there. Theodore Roosevelt Sometimes we have to use that big stick.

Interracial Relationship Will you accept it?
SGCHS replied to darran's topic in Dating And Relationships
I find it amazing that everyone is focusing on skin color as a sign of mixed races. While that is the most obvious sign of someone being a different race it is not the only one. At one time, white parents of different races (Italian, French, German, Romans, Anglos, Normans, etc) would kill their sons or daughters for even thinking of marrying someone outside their race, class or culture. Understand that in your country, you are the trailblazer. While the trail has been blazed in Europe and North America, you are stuck in the wilderness. These people aren't necessarily full of hate but fear. Also, trailblazers intimidate because you have the strenght to go against accepted culture. What has happened in America is at first trailblazers wanted tolerance. Not they demand acceptance. All that does is create unhappiness because you are looking outside yourself for fulfillment. Stay strong and stay the course if this is what you believe in. If you feel you don't have the strenght to hang in there, then break off the relationship so your girl can find someone who loves her for her and not for other's acceptence.Good luck.I would like to add that when I was younger, interracial relationships were rare in the southern US. I would stare not because I disagreed but because it was unusual. Also, I would think, "Wow, he/she must love them." The same holds true when you see a really nice looking woman, no matter the race, with an ugly man. You can't help thinking, "What does he have?"Now of course as I get older, all women are beautiful and anyone who finds someone is truly blessed. -

How Do You Combine Removable Drives In To One Big Drive?
SGCHS replied to Robbie Rotten's topic in Hardware Workshop
You can buy an external enclosure which support RAID. RAID is the ability to have one drive "mirror" or "copy" another drive or merge the drives into one large drive. The interface for the drives inside the enclosure can be IDE or SATA. The interface to hook the box to your computer can be USB or Firewire. Most of these boxes are not cheap. Also, when you use merge the drives into one, if you lose one drive, you lose all of your data as files are written "across" the drives as if it was one drive. I agree with the earlier poster...your computer slow down is due to spyware or adware or something you "caught" from the internet. Always have a virus scanner. 2 or 3 different spyware programs. Chkdsk your drives and defragment on a regular basis. Empty your temp folders. Also, clean out that startup tray. Many of the programs that are set to launch at start up do not need to be in resident memory. So what if it takes a second more for it to load, at least it is not taking up valuable resources.Good luck. -
I don't care how good a deal is. If the customer service is terrible, I will not be back for a long time. (I won't say never...because you should "never say never".) I will eventually return and if the customer service is still bad then I don't return. I've stopped payment, cancelled accounts, etc all due to bad customer service. I don't expect a company to give their product away, but if the Expedia CSR had made that call for you, they would be receiving free good PR now instead of bad. Best of all, it would have been FREE.

Well, let's see:All's fair in Love and War. With that said, if you really like her and she likes you then you will have to choose between her or your friend. If she doesn't like you and she is still madly in "like" with your best friend, then you need to keep your feelings to yourself, especially if you value your relationship with your best friend. BTW, best friends are hard to come by so unless this girl is your soulmate, I would highly suggest you back away.Either way, I don't envy you your position. It is hard to be friends with someone and like their girl, but it can be done and be done taking the high ground.Good luck and I hope it works itself out.

The reason why Vista is slower on his machine is Vista will require a beefier computer. It will take more power to run it. The same holds true for Windows XP. It will not fun on a machine that could run Windows 3.1. The hardware requirements are different. I tested a copy of Vista and it was nice. Not sure I will buy it when it comes out but it has its good points and bad. One of the bad is the constant popups asking "Are you sure you want to do this?" It is extremely security conscience. Also, the copy I had did not support all of my hardware so I decided to take it off of my computer.

Jesus Was Not Ressurected Jesus Was Not Resurrected
SGCHS replied to sweet_princess's topic in General Discussion
You need to read further for it does not support your arguements: Luke 24:44-49 (KJV) That one section of scripture debunks your arguement that Jesus himself stated he was not resurrected, note the bolded vs 47. They may or may not have been in the upper room at this time. They were in Jerusalem though. There is something that is true in your statement: That Jesus was resurrected is the foundation of Christianity, So someone who claims to be a Christian yet not believe that Jesus was resurrected and the Son of God...well they are not a Christian. I guess they could claim they follow His teachings...but that is not what makes you a Christian. What I do find interesting in your arguements and I've believed this for a while is the Allah and the Father are the same God. I believe the God of Israel, Allah and God the Father are different names or titles for the same God. Thank you for a good post. Have a wonderful day. -

What Is A Resistor? Brief description and history of resistors
SGCHS replied to squeaky's topic in Science and Technology
It seems to me per the formula, that without resistance, you only have voltage. It is not 0 resistance that will cause problems, but resistance that is less than one. So as the resistance moves closer and closer to 0, the current begins to climb higher and higher which can then short out your equipment.Anyway, that is, in my opinion, a very good WAG based on some mathematical facts.Thank you for taking the time to read this post. -
If you are ready for college then yes, go for it. The last couple of years of high school would just be a waste of your time as pertaining to career goals. However, if you think you will look back one day and miss all the "fun" stuff seniors get to do...but that is a decision only you can make.Personally, I think I was wasting my time during my senior year but back in the early 80's college for high schoolers was very rare.Anyway, I say go for it. Sounds like you have a game plan and are ready to get on with your life and quit playing around in the kiddie pool.Good Luck.
