  1. The game isn't actually out yet, so there are no ratings thus far.
  2. Stay away from Norton like the plague. It's absolutely terrible and costs money unlike better anti viruses like AVG and Avast!. I believe that Kaspersky is currently the best solution, so I'd recommend that. Personally I use Avast! because I like to sound like a pirate when I say it.
  3. There are people researching all kinds of things that don't exist. Just because somebody is researching something doesn't make it real. And they have never found a skeleton that was confirmed to be that of a dragon. If they did it would be all over the news and dragons wouldn't be considered mythical anymore now would they? Most dragon 'skeletons' are not dinosaur bones as you would expect, but actually prehistoric mammal bones. Oriental dragon 'skeletons' were mainly those of marine creatures of the past.
  4. I'm currently using C++ and I like it because it's very flexible compared to other languages. I'm mainly using it for games but it is great for all sorts of stuff.
  5. If you haven't heard of it then I'll enlighten you. The basic concept is that you have a 'portal gun' which, as the name implies, creates portals which you can instantly travel though. It also has the same functions as the gravity gun from Half-Life. This introduces heaps of new gameplay elements, such as opening a portal over something that is firing at you, and then creating another portal beneath a crate. The crate will then fall through the hole and hit the aggressor. The game is set in the Half-Life universe, and will be shipped for free along with Half-Life 2: Episode Two. Here are some videos showing the concept in motion (via YouTube): Trailer: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Gameplay video: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Personally I think the concept is absolutely amazing. Though it may appear to be ripping off Prey, in actuality Portal has been under construction for quite a long time. Besides, in Portal the game revolves around these holes, whereas in Prey it was more of an add-on. I can't wait to try it out.
  6. I am absolutely sure that there is life outside of our planet. The universe (or perhaps universes?) is so impossibly huge and there are so many solar systems out there that one of them at the very least had to of developed life. It could be incredibly rare, with only a handful of galaxies having one planet of life each, or there could be hundreds of planets in our galaxy bursting at the seams with life; no-one knows for sure, but I am confident that somewhere out there another planet has life on it. But what is life? Think about it: we're just matter in motion. And somehow this matter has arranged itself in such a way that it has created a living, thinking being. It's quite a strange concept that a lot of people take for granted.
  7. I don't believe that dragons existed at all, but if they did then I think it would be much more likely that they didn't breath anything but air. If they did breath fire or ice then that was probably what killed them off. One hiccup and your insides are coated in ice/flames.
  8. I'm listening to a lot of power metal right now. My favourite is probably Blind Guardian, but there are heaps more awesome power metal bands that I love. Kamelot, DragonForce, Rhapsody, Manowar, Falconer, Gamma Ray, Helloween, Iced Earth, Stratovarius and Running Wild are all great.I also listen to a good amount of thrash metal, like Nevermore. They're awesome; you should check them out if you haven't heard their stuff.
  9. While the most logical theory seems to be that these 'dragons' are just myths sprouting from dinosaur bones found in the past, in actuality European "dragon bones" have all turned out to be from mammals that recently went extinct in the last glaciation. Cave bear bones were constantly thought to be dragons, and a village in Germany had a "dragon" skull on display that was actually a whooly rhino's.In China, all thier "dragon bones" seem to come from marine reptiles, which would explain why the Chinese dragons are serpentine in appearance. As of now, there is no confirmed dragon bones that were in actuality dinosaur bones. Still based off extinct creatures, just not dinosaurs as most people would think.
  10. I think it looks amazing, I can't wait to try it out. I put gameplay far above graphics so the Wii not being very powerful isn't too much of a drawback for me. If they made it as powerful as the competition then it would cost way more, something which would not make me too happy. When I first heard that Nintendo had dropped Revolution in favour of Wii I laughed, thinking it sounded incredibly stupid. However, the name has grown on me and now I really like it. It looks like it has a great line-up too, with Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption being at the top of my list.
