I'm still having problems with frontpage I still can't publish my website even with the correct FTP information.

seems the working subdomain hosted at Xisto is:

skaterboarderzone.trap17.com

 

notice the "r" in red?

btw, wasn't the initial subdomain you have requested and approved this one: boardzillabbs.trap17.com --> (though this one doesn't seem to work)

 

your recent upgrade request for skaterboarderzone.trap17.com here has not been approved yet from the looks of it. though how it came to be working (based on the screenshot above) without prior approval beats me.

 

again, double-check... if not triple-check everything.

 

Yes I initally requested baordzillabbs.trap17.com, but I changed my mind after I requested it and didin't know how to change it. When I went though the final account creation process for the working subdomain, but I didn't recieve any error messages I don't know why I was created if it wasn't apporoved

None of the above ftp addresses seem to work, I don't know why, my ftp address, username and password are correct but it still won't work.

I found out why the site was unavailable you have to type http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ and it should show a coming soon page.

I'll try the diffent url above to see if I can get it to work. I has a coming soon page, but I don't know why it's not working and see if I can get my site up and running,

All the information is correct, I enter it exactly as it was on the account creation confimation message, so I don't know whats wrong.

I dont agree with hurting animals in any way.
After reading these posts i see that most of u think animals should be treated with respect and that people who abuse them should be given a harsher punishment other than 2 days and a thousand dollar fine. Yet your kind of contradicting yourselves there, if you respect them so much why do you PAY for animals? Why do people profit from selling them? You pay for them like there a general object.

Madkatz says "but need to be hunted down and punished for their crime (I think life in prison is a good option)." this is a punishment associated with murder, should then animals be treated with the same rights as humans? do you buy and sell humans?

Do animals like to be kept inside when they want to be outside? do you? is it not a humans right to go where he wants? should animals be treated the same way?

just some things to think about there.

I building me webpage in Frontpage and when I go to publish my web and enter the ftp address:ftp.skaterboarderzone.trap17.com.com I get the error message

"Could not find a webserver at ftp:skateboarderzone.trap17.com', please check to make sure that the webserver name is valid and your proxy settings are correctly. If you are sure that everything is correct, the web server may be temporarily out of service.

My frontpage extentions are enabled in Cpanel, so why am I getting this message? Any help would be appreciated.

I think you probably didn't install correctly your usb flash disk, try formatiing it in this way: Only for Windows:1-Go to control panel and then administrative tools (you must have an administrator account to be able to do this)
2-Go to computer management and make sure that your USB is properly connected to your PC, laptop...
3-Maximize the storage button by clicking the plus sign next to ''storage''.
4-Click on ''disk management'' you will see a list of all your removable hard drive letters.
5-Right-click on your USB letter and choose format from the list, on the file system choose ''Fat 32'' you could refer to your help and support file by going to: Start/Help and support/ to choose the correct one, but I do prefer FAT32. Then click on ''OK'' to begin the format process.

I agree with Hadi that your USB drive was not installed properly and you will need to reformat it for it to work, Just follow Hadi's steps and your USB drive will work again.

Problem solved!!! I went into the control panel then to file manager then I found the file and changed the permissions to 777 and that solved the problem.

I have just installed simple machines and went in to edit the server settings so that I could put my forum in maintenance mode, edit the board name, my webmaster e-mail address and at the top it says "These settings cannot be changed because Settings.php is read only" is these any way I can make setting.php writable?

Well, developing a new forum system is quite a challenge, you've got some big competition! Obviously go for PHP and give support for SQL, SQlite and PostgreSQL to appeal to as many different users as possible.

The project will developed in php and mySQL, but I never thought about using SQlite and PostgreSQL to appeal to as many different users as possible. Thanks the project will use all three SQL databases.

I warn you that might just be a scam and you may not make as much money as is said that you will be made, so be careful when trying to earn money ny reading e-mails. The FTC provides a list of 12 scams on their website. The link is https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/press-releases/1998/07/ftc-unveils-dirty-dozen-spam-scams. I think that earn money by reading e-mails would fall under "easy money" and should be avoided. Thats just my opinion.

I'm currently playing to develop a new forum/messageboard software and was wondering what features are you looking for in a forum/messageboard software. This will help when developing the software beacuse then I will know what features consumers want. I wondering what feature you want and don't want as well as what type of security would you like to see in a forum/message board software.

Nice layout and design, but in my opinion I think that you should have a little background and not use a black background because it may be hard to read b some people.

I like it a lot. It has a nice proffesional design and the navigation is clear and easy to find. I like the mouseover effects. The banner as well is very sleek and nice. Very nice job overall. The news I think could be farther up but I don't know if what above it is related to the site because I can't read it.

LoL you can definitely steal finger credit cards. All you need is a knife!
And IMHO, that would be such a bad idea to come out with that as a replacement for credit cards. At least with credit cards, if it's stolen, you can call in and have it deactivated, then call and get another. If your finger is stolen, you're pretty much screwed.

Very funny about the knife, but it is tru all someone has to do is cut off you finger. You are also right about when you credit card is stolen you can just call it in a get it deactivated and get a new one you wouldn't be able to do that with a finger.

Well, the best advice I can give is to take care of yourself, and be a gentleman to her. Girls like a guy who cares about his appearance and hygeine. Also, being a gentleman is the one sure-fire way to impress most girls. Hold the door for her, carry her books to class, all of that 'corny' stuff. Don't be too clingy though...that would be annoying. Just watch her responses and see what kind of behavior gets you points with her.

I my opinion finger credit cards would be cool because no one could teal them, no nee for credit cards. Cool!! I think it's a good idea to prvent identity theft.

They arn't the best examples of passwords that you should use...

 

You need Special characters like: @~{}]['#/()*"$%"^!

Lowercase Letters like: abcdefghi

Uppercase Letters like: ABCDEFGHI

Numbers like: 01234567

 

All this will create the best password for example:

 

L@tS0fcH4r5_|v|4kE490oDPA5Svv0rD^Ł

 

I agree!! You should use number, letters and symbols so that you password is not easy to guess. You want a password you can rememember but one that others can not guess.
