Welcome back, fellow Xisto member! >_> Meh, I am just curious, how did you get locked off the computer? Is there any way that you could have warned Xisto about this before it happened, or was it like, unexpected? Oh and <3 Xisto! OpaQue, you rock. No admins at the other hosts would do something like this for a user as loyal as Triple X.

Alright, if anybody wants a CSS layout; I'll make one for you!Just tell me what you want the background color to be, main font color, and the link colors! Then later in the topic I'll post them and I'll post the username of the user that requested next to them so you know which one is yours! So if anyone wants a CSS File; Ask Mike! >_>

I like the map idea from the poster above. It makes your site look extremely nice! However, NilsC is correct about the fact that you can just use the href tags and insert an image inbetween the beginning and end. However, don't forget to make the image say where it leads to somewhere on it!

Many websites create databases with original values and then the MD5 hash that goes along with them. That's called a 'Hash Database' or 'Hash Dictionary'. MD5 is extremely useful for storing passwords. Nobody could read MD5 but the programmed computer therefore, making it an ideal language for message boards; for storing the users' passwords in a database. I mean, what would be the point of making a language that hides original text if you could just decode it easily with a decoder? ._.

O_o; Interesting. If you need a CSS/HTML/PHP/LittlebitofJavaScript Coder you could ask me, I'd be willing to help. I've coded many new features and even the default theme for my site/message boards. (http://www.subzer0.net/) Hmm.. I'll register as my secret l33t name; Helljumper! >_>

Ouch X_X! I'm not really into pre-made message boards/forums. I mean, Invision Power Board and phpBB are nice, and punBB owns but I like boards that were created by somebody else. My message boards run on a source code created by "Onion" and modified by "Golden Mario" and "Magus". (Sub-Zero --Click 'Boards'). I modified it to my liking (as you see there is another line in the footer with my name [Helljumper]). Now I added tons of new features and although I think you can edit stuff with the premade boards.. With source codes; you get less errors and it's just easier to edit.

Hosting Credits depend on the length of the posts that you post. Not how many posts you have, for one thing. Hosting Credits determine how many days you may go without posting. 1 Hosting Credit is 1 Day without posting! If you are hosted and you want to view how many hosting credits you have.. Just go to the board listing (index.php) and it should tell you somewhere on the top under the shoutbox how many hosting credits you have.

Help Me! Need help with index.html problem
Mike replied to google_byte's topic in Web Hosting Support
When you upload your index.html, you must FIRST click on the little folder icon that is next to the 'www' folder. I am not sure why, but if you just upload it straight away when you get to the File Manager (it will show some files) it doesn't change your homepage. This happened to me and I did not know why! I hope this helps..~Mike -
I think you should keep all of those three files. Index.html decides what comes up when you just go to yourname.trap17.com . So you should keep that and use it to design your homepage. If you want, I can make you a pretty good homepage. Just PM me about it! http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ <-- That's my homepage. -- What do ya think?

Can I Get Free Web Hosting Account? My mother tongue isnt Engish.
Mike replied to gdpglc's topic in General Discussion
XD! I mean, first of all you may want to get your English skills a little better. Then you don't want to spam and post 1-2 liners or else you're never going to get your hosting account. Anyways, the minimum amount of posts (4+ LINES!) that you will need to be able to get a hosting account is 15 posts. Then you can apply for hosting on the board: 'Request HOSTING Account'.I hope this helps.. -
My website (subzero.trap17.com) has just gotten a new homepage. My good buddy, Ricapar9x designed that one, although I can make one just as good! I can prove it too. >_> Anyways, what do you guys think of my homepage? http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ BTW- The phpBB Forums look nice but the Administration Tools aren't too great, in my opinion. You should take a look at my boards: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ -- and think about switching to a source code. They are very easy to get up and they offer not only more features, but a nice currency system and a whole onsite cPanel for admins/mods.

Php's Include Function (info) Want info about the include() function?
Mike replied to thablkpanda's topic in Programming
Exactly what karlo and everybody has been saying. If you use the require() function and the file that you are trying to get information from does not exist, than the page will become a Fatal Error and the whole thing is screwed up. If you use the include() function and the file that you are trying to include does not exist, the page will still load but with a warning at the top saying something like: WARNING: (/linkthingtothefileyoutriedtoinclude) File does not exist. if you use require_once() or include_once(), it will do the same as just include() and require() but if the file you are trying to require or include has already been included or required, the script will stop. -
Php's Include Function (info) Want info about the include() function?
Mike replied to thablkpanda's topic in Programming
^^^Heh, you're exactly correct. Another nifty little function that I like about PHP is the mail() function. I'll provide y'all with the code for it.. <?php $headers = 'From:youremailaddress@yourisp.com\r\n"; $headers .= 'Reply-To:youremailaddress@yourisp.com\r\b"; $headers .= 'Content-Type: text/html;\r\n charset=\"iso-8859-1\"\r\n"; $body = "What you want to appear in the e-mail would go here.. You can use some HTML tags like b,i,u, and the table tags. ";mail("emailaddressofrecipient@peronsisp.com", "subjectofemail", $body, $headers);?>****EDIT EVERYTHING WITH A '[ b ]' TAG NEXT TO IT (WITHOUT THE SPACES).. TO SEND THE MESSAGE YOU MUST GO TO THE LINK THAT YOU SAVED IT AS.. IF YOU SAVED IT AS 'mail.php' YOU WOULD GO TO http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ IF IT IS IN THE 'WWW' FOLDER. THAT MAY NOT BE THE LINK TO YOUR SITE FOR ALL USERS!**** -
Has anybody beaten Halo on Legendary mode. I have and I have this really weird friend named ARCANISTHEROGUE who thinks that he can beat it on every difficulty. ARCANIS is a very strange kid. Has anybody beaten Halo 2 on Legendary mode? I can't; I find it extremely hard. Tips please!

Well, when you log in it will tell you how many hosting credits that you have. If you are very close to zero credits, I recommend posting! My account got suspended as well since I let my credits go down to zero. This is very embarassing and it will not happen again. Oh and, I think 1 credit = 1 day without having to post. So yeah, that's, what you must do.

My cPanel suggestion would be to.. Wait.. I have no suggestions! The cPanel feature that Xisto provides you with is the BEST one and it is extremely easy to use. I tried the cPanel feature at Fusion X Host and it isn't too good.. I mean, it's good of course but it gets kinda confusing; you have to click through the MySQL Databases section to find a link to phpMyAdmin. ._.

I think that the Alienware PC is the best gaming PC since it was basically MEANT for big -time gaming. I do not really play games on my computer though.. I just use my computer for the Internet and I use the Notepad for coding HTML and PHP and a little JavaScript that I know. I use my Xbox Game Console for gaming since it definitley has the best graphics and the best gaming series ever; the Halo series. It's the best on Xbox!

**YOU DO NOT NEED ANY HTML TAGS FOR THIS SCRIPT**** Enter all values between the ' ' quotes <?php //Define The Variables $cfg = array('sitename' => '', //Your Sites Name 'footer' => '', //OPTIONAL, if you want your footer stored so that the echo command can display it. Ex: Copright ©2005 - Michael Fratello (the © is will turn into the copyright 'c') 'board_dir' => '', //Link to your message boards. (If you have any) ); ?> I recommend saving this file as cfg.inc.php I believe you have to make a separate configuration thing if you are using the stored variables in a DIFFERENT FOLDER that the one that this 'cfg.inc.php' is stored in. -Using The Variables You Saved- Notice that your site's name will be stored as 'sitetitle', the footer will be stored as 'footer', and the board_directory will be stored as 'board_dir'. You do not need to post the board directory anywhere. At the top of each page, if you would like to use the stored variables, you MUST put this PHP Code at the VERY TOP. <?php require '' //What you saved the file as Ex: cfg.inc.php ?> If you want your site's name to show up on the page, you would post this PHP Code (you can post this ANYWHERE in the file as long as you posted the 'require' code): <?php echo $cfg['sitetitle']; ?> If you want the footer to show up, you would post this: <?php echo $cfg['sitetitle']; ?> And that concludes my little PHP Tutorial thing for today. =-P

Take a look at the 'cool' quiz that I created a few days ago. Sub-Zero :: Cool Quiz Do you mean a quiz like that? However, once you leave the results page; when you come back your results are not there anymore! I think this may the thing you are asking about. If you want your results to stay saved, I believe that you should make a database table for the quiz. Then you could use a simple MySQL query to insert the results in the database table. If you make the table, I could give you the query. P.S. http://www.w3schools.com/ is coded in ASP. :-)

I get a 404 error when I go to the site that he linked to above. And cragllo, you do not need all HTML tags. I mean, you can use the 'echo' command in php and something will show up, unless you mean like you need the 'body tags'. I mean, for the 'echo' command to work, however, you need to configure some variables. I'll make a topic telling you how to do it on the PHP Board.

Meh, hip-hop is alright. I like rap I just don't like it when the rappers try to get all "gangsta" and they go like "YO YO I BUST'D A CAP ON DA COP YO!!" I mean, I hate 50 CENT and kinda like Eminem. I think Ludacris is the best though, as well as Fat Joe. I also hate Snoop "Doggy" Dogg as well. Lol. >_>

I just dislike advertisements on my forums. It takes the attention off of the actual forums, to the ads (which really pisses me off). I'm thinking of setting up my own server.. It would be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/:[number] >_> I don't know. *Goes back on subject*. Ads are horrible. Does anybody know where I can get a free domain? >_>

What's Your Favorite Game System - Console select one from each poll
Mike replied to ICE-XG's topic in Computer Gaming
I think that the Xbox Game Console is THE BEST console that is out as of now. I have an Xbox and it is absolutely AWESOME. The main things that make it better from the other consoles [in my opinion] are: -The Graphics. The best damn graphics out! Besides a computer, the graphichs of the Xbox are the best. They make PS2's GTA series go against the ps2! -The Memory. You never will need any memory cards! 50,000+ Blocks Free. I have over 30 games with many saves on each and I don't have lower than 50,000 blocks. -Halo. Halo2. The 2 best games EVER. Not on any other systems! -Quality of GTA3 and GTA: Vice City. The quality is amazing. Custom soundtracks, extremely good graphics; the Xbox GTA is better than the PS2's GTA! -'Coming Soon..' Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas --June of 2005-- Just read that. It's going to be 'off da hook'. -
Err.. I do not know if this is what you are looking for but http://www.w3schools.com/ has a whole tutorial for PHP and other languages. I think it gives you some examples of easy scripts that you could try and they teach you a lot but I doubt they will teach you enough php to you know, create your own message board source code. I learned some php there, all the HTML I know, and a bit of JavaScript there.

Whoa. That's a long list. Kudos to you (OpaQue) when you get everything done! I give you credit anyway for getting this great hosting service. Xisto is awesome. Gizmo, why did you go back to Fusion X Host?
