It must have been hard on you. To gather up your courage to tell her how you feel only for her to ignore you. Well honestly there's nothing you can do about it except wait. I guess maybe you rushed into things, making her feel a little uneasy about the whole thing. Or either that she's trying to sort out her feelings for you, thus the need to stay away for a while. I know the anxiety you must be feeling now, you really want her by your side. But you need to be patient and give her time to decide for herself. You must be gracious enough to accept that she may not like you. No point forcing her to love you, because then her love will not be genuine. If things don't work out, I really do hope you two will remain as friends. Kinda sad to see a friendship broken up because of something like this. On your side, don't worry about looking for girlfriends, a suitable one will come along one day. Hope it helps you some whats

It really depends on what kind of game you're looking for..Guild Wars is a team and skill based game. The main element of GW is PvP (Player Vs Player). That's where the real fun begins, where you pit yourself against others players. You'll never be fighting alone because in GW working as a team is the only way to go. (They've doing what they can to remove the possibility of "soloing" altogether)Why PvP is so fun is because you can choose to do either 4v4 or 8v8. You can either fight for great rewards, or fight as a Guild to make your guild one of the top ranking guilds in GW. I've never played WoW before but from the look of things, WoW is your traditional MMORPG game where you can spend hours exploring the virtual world, fighting monsters to gain levels.Ok, so in conclusion =pIf you are not the type that like to grind and farm to gain levels, or don't have time to spend hours on the game, if you prefer to let your skills do the talking rather than the number of hours you spend on a game, then Guild Wars is for you.Otherwise, if you love to farm and grind your way up the levels, love to explore vast lands. then I think WoW is for you..Like I said I play GW and love GW, so my argument tend to be one sided =p

thanks serverph and omegashine..serverph: hmm.. actually the background of my flash is #999999. The black box is within the flash actually. It was done so as to give the black box a 3D feel. If you notice (which I hope you guys can), there is a slight shadow at the bottom and right hand side of the black box. It gives a subtle feel like the black box is raised. I try not to make the whole site black because i feel it gives a very gloomy feel to the site.. thanks for the advice, hopefully I'm not reading it wrongly.. =)Omegashine: Is it really necessary for me to have forums? This is just a personal homepage for me and my gf to put our thoughts. But maybe I'm not seeing what you're seeing =) Wonder what else should I include in my website.. great job lairz.. yeah need to really change the title.. Untitled Document really spoils the professional look of your website.. great graphics, fast loading time.. Agreed on the music on-off button. I know you allowed for the volume to be turned down but some people prefer switching off the music all together. Also the volume slider bar do like to stick to the mouse sometimes.. haven't had the same experience with the other scroll bars.I like the "sticky" scroll bars btw.. but sometimes it doesn't "stick" as well especially after scrolling half way down.With regards to the shiny feel of the logo (the one with the two rifles). It might help if you use don't use solid colors but a gradient fill where it is solid white in the center and fades out. (Hope you understand what I mean). Well those are just my own opinions, hope they help. Otherwise nice professional looking site.. Good Job!

thanks.. I've been surfing on many flash websites hoping to gain more ideas and the thing that put me off is huge load times. I believe this is the primary reason why many people dislike flash. but i've seen sites that load pretty fast and yet are a sight to behold. That's the challenge of all flash website designers I feel, creating beautiful sites that loads fast.. not easy I must say.. kept telling myself, keep it simple keep it simple =D

Actually I got the light effect from somewhere else. Basically how it works is there are 5 different images used to create that one effect. With a combination of motion tweens you can create that effect. I can pass you the .fla file containing this effect if you want..

I honestly prefer Xisto as compared to Xisto's forums because here at Xisto the topic range are much wider. I can chat about anything under the sun really. This is good because there are many times in Xisto I scratch my head trying to think of what to say to the technical issues that are discussed. I'm not so much of a technology expert and so those technical and programming threads are way beyong me. Personally I prefer to talk about life issues, human relationships, etc. That's my interest, oh and also flash development =pWell lets keep on talking about anything under the sun ya, that's what a community does, we dun just talk about work the whole day long do we. We talk about our families, our worries, our joys, etc. That's what makes a closer community i feel..

Gentle reminder to your current site.. Don't leave it as "Untitled" =POther than that.. I feel if you shift the alignment slightly downwards a little would be nice.. so as to give a nice centralized feel to it..I like the d-gression heading btw..

I can't tolerate people who are full of themselves. I mean no one is perfect right. It's a fact like it or not, there will always be people smarter and better than you. Even if you might be considered a pro at this particular thing that you do, it doesn't hurt to show a little humility and hear what others have to say. Another thing I can't tolerate is people who go online thinking they're talking to computer generated people. These people fail to remember that behind every nick in either a forum or online game is a real human being with real feelings. Do to others what you want them to do to you..

Thanks for the great tips.. I'll be using it to "test" my website so it'll be as user friendly as possible..The key is to really Keep It Simple.. Nothing worst then a website with links everwhere, colors and graphics splashed everywhere so much so you have no idea where to go from there...I like flash websites because it's a move from the traditional html websites. It's full of color and animation and interactivity. Having said that however, I've seen for myself poorly done flash websites with useless intros and slow load times due to the huge amount of animations. Just like any other html website, flash websites must also be kept simple. The best animations in a website are subtle ones, i feel. Maybe others might want to add tips on how to build a good and effective flash based website as I'm currrently into flash websites.. hehe..

There is much talk about the end of the world these days. With so much happenings around the world it seems like the end of the world is really around the corner. Personally I feel that we're reading too much into this number thing. It's just a number really. But don't discount the fact that this world is said to come to an end one day. If you believe in the Bible as I do, you'll know that the Bible do speak about the end of the world. When will it happen is not important as no one really knows when Christ will come again. The important thing is what are we doing about it? One thing I'd say is to cherish your family while they're still around. Making money isn't everything. I guess if the webhost is really good then why not. It's not like the community here is bad or anything... there's always something to talk about.For myself. what's important as I look for a webhost is little or no ads. Small banners at the bottom is fine. But yeah, NO POPUPs. It's horrible.Speed at which the pages load is also crucial. Little downtime is another must. One question. I realise that Xisto and Xisto are very similar. Is there any difference between the two?

there are tons of good tutorials on the internet that really helped me in my learning of flash. Truth be told, flash has a rather steep learning curve and it really helps if you have a bit of programming background because in order to harness the fullness of flash you need to go into actionscript. actionscript is the programming language of flash and although you can do without it, actionscripting gives you more flexibility in your flash applications. I'm still learning about flash honestly but this is the first time I'm having so much fun doing programming and designing. Check out my website. You want people to like you for who you really are, not the false front you put up in front of people. That can be tiring.Also take the first step, go up to people and say hi to them. You'll never know they might invite you into their circle of friendship.As for myself, I used to have little friends too when I was younger. How I coped with it was that I always have this friend which I cannot see. His name is Jesus Christ. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not preaching or forcing anyone to believe. But really, Jesus has been my friend ever since I was young. He is still a very close friend today.
