Dell are really good but if you do not like Dell then I strongly recommend that you look at a Toshiba laptop. There are many review sites on the net, try http://www.tomshardware.com/ I have looked there many times before buying any PC hardware, even then they review more than just PC gear. When I first played Age of empires I thought it was the mutts nuts but playing AOE2 soon took that title. A few years later I played Cossacks and then the Art of war expansion.Hands down Cossacks is much better that AOE 1,2 & 3. The size of the armies, the amout of resources, buildings and technologies, there is no way that AOE can compare. the onething that used toannoy me with AOE is the limited resources, when the gold pile was finished you would have to look for another one, when they were all gone that was it. This severely hampered gameplay, more specifically in multiplayer games. Cossacks doesn't have this problem, them longer you can hold onto the mine and the more villagers you can stuff into it the better.The armies can be huge, in Cossacks, with AOE I coud have an army of a few hundred, in Cossacks I have had an army of several thousand. the scree could not hold all the armies in some of the battles. Micro$oft had a good start but CDV did 1 better, several times.

Nowadays i choose AMD, mostly because of the price but also AMD seems to perform better than the Intel equivalent.Reliability is something i cannot fault Intel on. I still have an old Pentium 120 that works without issue. Ok it runs Win95 still and has a whopping 32MB ram to keep it honest but it still works. 1 point for Intel.

Apparently Oblivion has been tested on a system with dual graphics cards, a huge processor and lots of RAM and still did not run smootly with all options turned up (I will try to find this site again and edit this to include the URL). Why it is necessary to have dual graphics cards, never mind quad is beyond me. Hey I can barely afford 1 card, from the cheapy range, then the cost of these new high requirement game, no ways i'll have 4 in the near future ...

Brilliant idea but i can't imagine what an effore it is to house the harddrives without a special case or something. Do you have a picture of your setup? I can understand the technology but not so sure on how to avoid damaging the PCB that is exposed on most hard drives, or avoiding too much movement.how long is this cable?More infomation would be nice, I am very interested.

I can swim but for a long time have not been too fond of swimming. When i was growing up my 2 older sisters were provincial swimmers. We had to travel all over the country for them to compete and as a non competative swimmer I was dragged along for the support factor. Now I am trying to teach my kids to swim. Running computer 24/7 is not necessarily bad for it. Hardware wise components are designed to run for thousands of hours. If for example a processor is expected to run for 30000 hours (very modest amout by today's standards) then it can run continuously for 1250 days (158.57 weeks, 3.43 years), even for that modest number I doubt very many people let their go for that long without powering it off. Also most of us woud upgrade our processor by that time. They do however require the occassional reboot as processes hang or conflict. There is of course the electric bill to consider and possible component failure. Virus attacks and hackers can be kept at bay with AV and firewalls, to some extent. Down to the individual really.

Looking list provide and a few of those that are not on there I have noticed one similarity with most of them, they are either sequels or remakes of old movies. I personally am getting a bit disillusioned with the lack of creativity when it comes to Hollywood. They seem to be churning out more sequels or remakes lkately that original movies. Rambo IV, come on, i was still in school when they brought that out and even then it wasn't that great. Will Mr. Stallone still be John Rambo? If I remember rightly he's pushing 50 ...Scary movie 4, more drivel. Remakes are the worst, King Kong, Pink Panther, police academy, please the originals were great but the remakes are poor. The original King Kong was much better than the remake, possibly just because it is in black and white. I'm sure there will be many people who disagree with this but I think i'll be giving the cinema a miss with their ?5.50 charge per movie and wait for the movies to be released on satellite TV.

This is a hot topic at the moment with loads of people trying to share their ideas on who the winner might be. Yes both formats have their pro's and their con's. I think there will be two major factors that will affect the outcome of this, these are price and capacity.At the end of the day the consumer and their willingness to part from their money will determine the winner. Also I was watching a techy program on the tele last week and there is talk of a third format that may enter the flurry. Unfortunately I didn't watch all of the program and i missed the name of it. Has anyone else out there heard of this "third format"?

I spilled some juice on a keyboard of mine and it never worked again no matter how I cleaned it and reassembled it. Now I buy cheap replaceable keyboards because I know my kids are just going to do the same thing as I did.

this is a difficult question to answer. There are a few things that have to be looked at.- speed of connection required- level of security required- expertise of person installing and maintaining the network- mobility requirementthese are but a few. different scenarios will make better use of each types pros and be affected more by the cons. E.g. if you have a laptop with installed wireless network then wireless is the first choice. If high security is requirement then wired is the better option. if the Person installing the network is knowledgable with wireless networking, installation and security then both are good options. What you require and what you are willing to sacrifice will be the determining factors in the choice of network.

When buying network equipment and installing it try to kkep all equipment from the same manufacturer. Though this is not a definate solution it will negate most minor inconsistancies. Once the hardware is in it is best to remove all existing network connections unless absolutely needed as the settings might not be compatible for the configuration you are looking to impliment.Best to start from fresh and this should negate most problems.

I bought a CAT5 cable once and paid an extortionate amount of money for it. After that I bought a roll of cable, crimpers and connectors for just a little bit more and now I make cables for friends and family. Another good feature that Google uses is their "did you mean" suggestion, this is handy for those moments when my fingers hit too many keys. Other features include the calculator, e.g. input 12345 + 67890 and enter. This will give you an answer. Also there is a converter, e.g. input 123 feet in meters and enter. This will you an answer.I find that google has lots of features with minimal advertising and fast loading.
