Abortion : For Or Against Abortion? Share ur views on ABORTION?
clergyq replied to Milk's topic in General Discussion
I am pro abortion, I do believe that the choice whether or not to have an abortion is the sole choice of the person carrying the child and her choice whatever it is should be kept confidential. I do believe however that prevention of pregnancey is the best route but life happens, mistakes happen, its just how it is. On the other hand Im completly against partial birth abortions. The idea that a person could carry a baby to almost full term and then concent to have that baby basically murdered is completly discusting and absolutly unforgivible in my eyes but thats just my opinion. -
Here is one of my not so great poems :PRun away with me lets leave all this behind, forget our names forget forget who we are, Just get in the car and drive. we can dance in open fields and howl at the moon,we can lay on our backs, eyes fixed on the stars, wondering how far and naming each one we can look for sea shells on rocky coasts chase the waves on sandy beaches feeling the sand between our toes we can get lost in tall forests and play amoung the fallen leaves feel the chill of winter as we watch the snow cling to the treesrun away with me lets leave all this behindwe wont need much just get in the car and drive...

Honestly I personally don't believe in Karma. I do believe like energy attracts like energy, like actions attract like actions. but to say that doing something bad is going to come back at you three times as bad....naw i dont believe that lol it may feel three times as bad cause its happening to you and not someone else. I believe that if you surround yourself with a certain type of energy be it negative or positive, your going to attract that energy that you are emersed it for example if you are negative all the time you leave very little room for anything positive entering your life

I listen to all music really, well all music exept for rap lol no matter how much i try i cant seem to get into it. I have an affinity for 80s music. I love rock, and even some country. some of my favorite bands are slipknot, tool, nine inch nails, marilyn manson... Oh god! theres just too many to mention honestly. With all the different labels they have for the different kinds of music its hard to keep up enough to really say difinitively what I listen too so I guess ill have to say I love music in general.

After Killing A Rock Star A Us Marine Leaves The C
clergyq replied to Dodger's topic in General Discussion
now..I have alot of respect for my country, but it kills me how this country tends not to care what kind of example we show to other countries. the marine should have been kept in romania and should have exepted what ever punishment was given, granted he was found guilty of course. it would have been the right thing to do. what is a marine doing driving drunk in the first place. the us has laws against such things. drunk driving kills, Its as simple as that. people should, and especially marines or any other service member should be able to represent there country in a light that is favorible rather then act like a roudy teenager on spring break. -
God I don't know what I would have done. Im a little embarrassed to say that I dont know much about the tsunami... did they have any warning before it hit? If i had warning I could easily say that I would have ran inland or to high ground like crazy, but without any warning I would have probably had no choice but to throw my life to chance and pray that I survived. Its horrible the loss these people suffered and I cant even fathom the extent of anguish they must be going through.

Oh java that poem about the girl you love...*sighs* I love it!!! it reminded me what it was like to be in love, the intensity of that feeling is something that I have forgotten over the years....Ah wow that brought back some memories. Oh and also it reminded me I wrote a poem a long time ago. This is the one and only poem ive ever written lol and probably will be the last, so it goes without saying that i by no means consider myself a poet...But ill share my poem none the less Flesh on flesh.warm to the touch. an eternal embrace a forbiden lust hidden in dreams I feel your kiss hot and wet in raptured bliss my body quivers, ravenous with sin I lean in and taste the salty sweetness of your skin gentle sighs escape from your lips, your body tenses and tightens its grip. feeling the pressure of your body on mine our breath grows heavy, syncronized in time. you whisper "submit" and my body surrenders I am yours now lost in pain lost in pleasure. I dont want to wake, please let this dream go on but reality rushes in and your image is gone *cringes* hope its not to erotic for these posts but anyway there it is

Those where very good, very personal and moving. I can identify the struggle of faith, the questioning. I've dealt with issues in life many times that made me question what I believed if there was a god, if I was on the right path, but I eventually found my way. The pain life deals us can be so intense at times poetry is a wonderful outlet for it, a way to get put the emotions into words so we can better understand the way we feel the way we do.

The last movie I saw was "Shawn of the Dead". It was funny as heck. Its a classic zombie flick with an english comedic flair. If you like zombie flicks or just want a good laugh i would highly recomend it. The movie i saw before that was "Dodge Ball" altho it did have its moments i didnt find it as entertaining. the punchlines were predictible and the situations a little cliche'd. Dodge Ball is a good one to rent but i wouldnt waste the money to buy it

I completly agree. Men and women are very different creatures and due to there differing physical and mental attributes are suited for different duties. That in no way means that ones duty is anymore important then the other. we should be given equal recognition for equal effort put into any work. Altho it angers me greatly to see people taking advantege of the way the current system is set up. Its very easy for a woman these days to rise to the top and obtain things that they aren't qualified for all because they keep that sexism card in there back pocket ready to spring it on anyone that stands in the way of what they want. Im not saying all women do it but there are those few out there and those are the ones that fuel stereotypes and tarnish the names of those who have honestly worked hard to get where they are.

Who knows why people feel the need to cause chaos and mayhem, its just a fact that others delight in the discontent of others which is truely a sad thing. I am very sorry to hear about your car. I've had a similar thing happen to me some idiot broke the front window and the passenger side windows out of my car. I could have killed someone and probably would have, but I never found out who did it which fortunate for them. I hope you catch em and I hope they get what they deserve.

I personaly havent tried ICQ. Im a creature of habit so I stick to my YIM, partly because its easy to use but mostly because the chats are free, lol. I have run into some problems with it however. Like private messege and chat room voice going out, getting text band and there are an endless amount of booters and amature hackers in the chats that do little more then annoy you. there are ways to get around the booters if your interested in participating in the chat rooms you can use alternative chat clients like yahelite to use the same chat rooms and not get bothered by the booters. all that aside I like yahoo...

Well, as far as swearing goes, theres a time and a place for everything. I mean...who hasnt yelled out an obsenity or two after stubbing there toe. I do understand constant swearing is just bad taste, and doing such things to impress others is just silly, but everyones different there are some that swear and dont even realize there doing it. If it bothers you that much bring it up to them let them know your not impressed. It may fix the problem.

Games may be a waste of time but, for me, they provide a much needed escape from this reality. Life is full of vices and addictions and video games most definatly fall under that catagory. honestly, in the sceme of things its healthier to be addicted to a game for a couple weeks then develope a dependancy on some mind altering subtance that could do permanent damage to the body or mind. Life is short take pleasure where you can find it and try not to hurt others in the process.

"The man who in 1912 discovered continental drift, German meteorologist Alfred Wegener, was scoffed at and ridiculed by the other scientists of his day. Today, many years and several generations later, we know what he said is true. The continents do drift, or move apart over time and that at one time all the continents were connected together into one supercontinent called Pangea. We know this continent split apart into the several continents we see today. We also know these continents continue to drift apart. It has been said that when a new truth is introduced into science (and probably everywhere) the old guard - the scientists entrenched in power - never accept a new truth. Rather the old generation has to die off in order for the new idea to be accepted. The new idea is accepted by the new generation. " --- from Remembering Atlantis by Drs. Barbara and Daniel Condron Scientific "discovery" is by no means free from political intrigue and interplay. "As men believe so goes the world." There are always those with power who will help guide us in our collective beliefs ... and not from the kindness of their hearts. You will see no "proof" until the idea is accepted and mainstreamed. We find what we seek, and we're told where to look. Many ideas and theories regarding supernatural and paranormal phenomena are alread gaining acceptance... i doubt it will be long before "conclusive proof" of the more popular ideas starts popping up.

I was kinda hooked on the He-Man Toys. I loved Castle Grayskull. I had one He-man action figure.. Moss Man, i think.. I was broken out in hives for a month before mom realized i was allergic to him and tried to make me get rid of him. I hid him, Then ran him through the Hordak slime pit over and over until he wasn't mossy or smelly anymore. Eventually, he didnt break me out anymore.**thinks** and Legos, of course. My cousin and i were incredibly lazy.. and we wanted to turn off the light, but didnt want to get up.. the lego box was in reach tho.. so we built a big stick and hit the light switch... we also used to build swords and hit each other with them and watch the pieces fly everywhere. great fun

Yeah, i saw the Ring. I liked the girl in it, and the story line was neat, but i didn't piss myself or anything. We rented it one night and let the neighbors borrow it when we were done. Their daughter came over and told us when they started watching it, so we set the alarm and called them from a payphone when they were done and whispered "seven days." Actually creeped em out a little until the little *BLEEP* caved in and told them it was me =(I heard Ringu is better, and makes more sense, but i haven't seen it yet.

where do you see yourself in the near future?***in a basementWhere would you be?***on my own islandWhat would you do?***crash a plane full of cult-members into the ocean off the coast of my new islandAre you married?***yes, to the sea. Well, no, i'm not really married.Any kids?*** No. I have no literal children. But the plane will be full of my "Children"Of course, I wouldnt be trying to kill them.. just a little "trial by water." They'd get life-jackets and lollipops. And a dental plan.

ever read Juliette? three nuns making out by page 2 .. Sade was a sick *BLEEP*, but still kind of interesting i guess. The book alternates between philosophy and warped pornography. I've never read past the turkey-screwing and scat though.I'm not sure how related this is, but nun and rape in the same sentence made me think of it.

The Younger Generation Is More Intelligent ! Do you think so ?
clergyq replied to OpaQue's topic in General Discussion
Nah. It's not really "more intelligence".. its just an affinity to a rapidly developing technological world. If you grow up already used to the change in general, and with exposure to the types of new things that are becoming the center of modern human life, its easier to deal with than if you'd known something else all of your life. Many concepts and ideas that were once indespensible are no longer even valuable or useful in the least.. people who grew up with them have a hard time letting those things go in order to adapt.. but such is life, i suppose. If the tables were turned and modern convenience were stripped away.. you'd find those most dependant on it flapping like a fish out of water and whole different class of people surviving. It all depends on what game is being played in a particular era, who knows the rules, and who even bothers to play it.Confidence is another thing. Youth today seems to have so much faith in what they know.. and what "we" know... its easier to manipulate something you're certain of. In the end though, we don't know as much as we'd like to think.. but inside the illusion that kind of surity is just what it takes to get ahead. -
You whippersnappers with your confounded newfangled gadets 'n gizmos!CELL PHONES ARE DA DEBIL!Nah, seriously. I cant stand cell phones. I hate answering the phone period.. and I found when i gave people my cell numbers, i had a hard time coming up with convincing excuses not to pick the friggin thing up. Me and my neighbor got plastered and started griping about it, and threw our god-forsaken nokias off the Henley street bridge. He hates me now.I hate pagers more tho.. they're like little electronic leashes. We'll probably be implanting chips in our heads with speakers in our inner ears soon so we can just THINK at each other anytime we want. **frowns** then i'd never get any privacy. IS THAT WHAT YOU PEOPLE WANT!?

Games make the world go round. All aspects of modern life are games... the economy.. dating... school... success in the working world... you play the system to get what you want. Only difference is its harder to break the rules in a video game.. and the only thing to win is a sense of satisfaction/victory. You can't really eat, breathe, or screw anything in a video game -- nothing tangible comes from them unless you somehow make your living off of them; but they do tend to sharpen reaction time (hand-eye coordination and, some games help develop problem solving skills.)

Last movie i saw was the remake of Dawn of the Dead. I actually liked it.. until the very last bit.. after the credits.. i mean.. i put, what, 2 hours into watching those people climbing their way out of hell just to watch them get eaten as a footnote? ah well it was still good.. i cant remember if i liked it better than the original or not.AND the zombie fetus!! WHY, GOD, WHY!?!
