Another possibility is that the motherboard itself is not working properly.Did you replace it after the powers surge, it may have been affected.

I've never had an experience like that at all, but I was wondering what brand of drive you're using and what the power supply is inside your computer. The power supply is most often the problem.I've had best experience with LG Drives and Power Supplies of at least 350W

Like I said, the xbox 360 has too many bugs so i'm not going to get it. The PS3 hasn't come out yet, so I don't know of it's bugs. If bothe the ps3 and 360 have bugs, i'll get a Revolution.

Both the xbox 360 and the ps3 are good consoles, however the xbox 360 has so many bugs right now, it's not funny. The xbox 360 is not even a full next-gen console, the ps3 and revolution are going to be much faster and are going to have way better gaming capabilities.

I'm going to get Linux, Windows is becoming very poor and crashes very often.

If you haven't already heard Microsoft is planning on releasing Halo 2 on thier new Windows Vista OS.I'm probalbly not going to get Halo 2 for that reason. After Windows XP becomes obselete I'm going to get Linux. So this is very depressing news for myself.

I'm currently working on a Halo Multiplayer mod for Half Life 2 with a group of people, and we're looking for a whole bunch of people to help us out.
