if your index.html page is in folder www or public_html (their the same thing) it is the main page, no redirection is needed but it has to be .html, not .htm and for php you can just make it so that anyone that gets on .html gets redirected to the .phphope this helps and im not too confusing

um could you be a little more specific as in what was the error/message that you get when you try to delete the redirect or the message that you get from visiting your phpnuke site...

Did you try reading the manual .. the pages were empty because its php you need to look at the file's source code and to install it upload the thing chmod the files it asks to chmod then you go to install.php if there is one or to the index or you can get a installer upload it then enter it's index page with is nukesql.php i think, the installers are named as nukesql so look for it, it might help...Phpnuke owns mango

You know you cant really do much with mysql unless you have some type of script that requires mysql, creating a database and a user to it is pretty much pointless... Mysql controls and has the settings of scripts, profiles, and helps upload,download,post,configure stuff, so on... you can change anything on a site with mysql except a password... dont know if your were serious bout this...

like said above its either your computer , internet connection... also you can close background programs like antivirus, quicktime etc. by task manager ctrl alt del...if you run other things at the same time that will slow you down for sure
