Yeah Resource hacking is pretty safe so long as you only change simplethings like images and the like. Its also a great tool for ripping pictures from programs too . Anyway there is a way that you don't need REShack to do if you don't want to use ittheres a app called SkinStudio which can change those things pretty easily

My method involved learning the basic structure of HTML then i just used a refrenence tagspage for a while untill i memorised some of the tagsthat way seems to be the easiest for me anyway

I've used Game Maker a little bit, I'm going to start using again since i've discovered TGF sucks . However TGF will always be easier to use for Windows type widgets rather then full games .
