The Worst Movie Ever (in Your Opinion)
keysmaker replied to RockinTheCasbah's topic in General Discussion
The worst movie that i've ever seen is The Eye 2 (also the eye 1) kinda chinese production, it doesn't have a well structured plot, it's weird, NEVER rent it, Instead rent Se7en or SAW! -
Well, you are probably using MSN, listening to music and surfing in Internet, but, stop; back in the early 20 century that was impossible, and today doing that tasks are realy simple and common. So if you think that this is over you are wrong. For me:Computers will reduce their size and increase the power, so people can have computers installed in their brains, also "desktop" computers will use sun light for working, also the components will be organic (alive) being possible for self growing.Transport wll be based on Internet, so you can scan a image of you and travel by packets of info to the destination. Also Internet will be aviable from anywhere in Earth and in the outer space. Now its your turn, tell me how can be the technology in the future, a really near one.

IF you are a common user from Trap 17 you probably remember a blue frog in a banner, and a slogan (450000 emails protected), well , that banner was from a company that used to spam spammers, (kinda virtual war) called Blue Security. But, obviously, the bad guys (the spammers) wouldn't keep with crossed arms, they paybacked the company with several DoS (denial of service) attacks, in fact, one of the suspects identified by PharmaMaster threat the company with more attack, in fact takes Down Tucowsand starts another attack and takes down Tucows's DNS servers which were serving thousands of sites, including Blue Security's. Tucows terminates Blue Security's account in an attempt to stop the attack. And the final attack wa sthe most powerful,Almost 24 hours later, PharmaMaster boasts success in another ICQ messageICQ Message: "pharma master: you know i feel sorry for you and all the world 9000 servers are down because of your company "pharma master: world cant resolv "pharma master: all the biggest isps been emailed that all this of bluesecurity.com and lets see how they would love you to be able to push trafic from them "pharma master: good luck anyway" In that moment the company finally gives up, leaving some DNS's servers down and several allies companies afected. Now, we should ask to ourselves:1- Will exist another company like Blue Security?2- What is the next target from PharmaMaster?and finally, is the spam war endless?

Lets start for the obvious and esencial process: 1- The desktop pc should have a wireless network adapter, compatible with IEEE 802.11g. 2-Check that you dont have firewalls (in the modem or in the computers like norton or windows firewall) if you have, configure properly the network policies (for example: grant access for the computers adding a ip interval or setting manually each computer) 3-Wireless networks requires a manual validation for sharing files and accessing resources like printers. check the configuration of the hotspot (wireless switch) IF you need more technical help, try at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us

Microsoft Warns Users Of Pirated Windows Os with a Desktop Message
keysmaker replied to Inspiron's topic in Operating Systems
Well yeah, seems like microsoft want to help the crackers, because the vista CD WILL include all the distributions of it, Windows Vista Business Windows Vista Enterprise Windows Vista Home Premium Windows Vista Ultimate Windows Vista Home Basic IN THE SAME CD! that is completely ...... i dont have any words for describing the level of stupidity of them, they want to fight against piracy, but they make more simple the way of piracy for crackers! It's unsense. BTW IM AGAINST the piracy, but also against the swindle of charging a lot of money for a OS. SUPPORT FREE SOFTWARE! -
I Told You That Bush Would.... (something Stupid)
keysmaker replied to Brian Gillingham's topic in The Vent
I still don't understand something, HOW he was re-elected! thats absolutely unsense, first of all, he was the most irresponsible and undifferent with the WTC attack, also people noticed the kind of president that they voted, also there are reports CONFIRMING that theres no nuclearweapons in IRAQ! AND he said that he doesn't cares that report, cause he already has planned a POLICY for that country. But the point is, if he was re-elected by fraud, why the fellow citizens of USA doesn't riot against the power!? that is supposed to be done by the people if something is ridiculous or attemp to the order and democracy of a country. For me, he's the next dictator/emperor of the history. -
Wireless Electricity tranfer electricity without wires
keysmaker replied to Reaper's topic in Science and Technology
Exactly! the tesla coil was the first try for making the electric devices wireless, Nikola Tesla failed, because he was unable to make a wireless device, otherwise he discovered the high-voltage application, that is actually used in industry. I dont really believe in a totally wireless device, i prefer to believe in organic devices that use sun power, able to save energy in cells. -
Microsoft Warns Users Of Pirated Windows Os with a Desktop Message
keysmaker replied to Inspiron's topic in Operating Systems
Well, this is another Good idea from Mr Gates company, anyway this is a little bit contradictory, 1- Now Mac support the bootcamp for installing both systems in their hardware, and i think that almost everyone who bought a Mac thinking like the computer will be like using the iPod, they will run for a pirated copy and install windows on it. Just because they dont feel in "Home", without start and that crappy stuff... 2-The software for a small bussiness can cost MORE than the salary for the employees, so, seems pretty stupid for a small business that is starting to buy that expensive software. Solutions: START USING FREE SOFTWARE! is better, reliable, and ovbiosly FREE! You can try Linux, it comes with a LOT of software and a office suite for home and business application. Now go ahead and follow your peinguin! -
Yeah, keyloggers by hardware is the major problem, because they can be hidden easily, but If you want a computer without spyware/adware/keylogger/phising do the follow: Install Windows XP Install inmediatly Service pack 2 Install the latest version of Mozilla Firefox NEVER use the Internet Explorer Install the antivirus software, I highly recommend the Norton Internet Security NEVER believe the internet offers and contest, ALL OF THEM ARE FAKE, if they offer to you the world, a green card, a new cadillac, DONT CLICK INTO THE BANNER! Never browse sites with warez, cracks and that kind of stuff. Avoid visiting Porn sites, almost of them have viruses or spyware. Never open email from unknow people Never OPEN attached files with .EXE, .JS, .VBS, etc, unless you are totally sure about the content of it. Never Install unnecesary software like toolbars, emoticons, and useless and stupid gadget like weather tools. If you feel like the computer becomes slowly or give you problems, start a virus scan, if stills having problems, ONLY IF stills having problems donwloada a trusted spyware tool from download.com and seacrh for spyware. If you are currently doing a bank tranfers, or giving important info, MAKE SURE that a small lock appear at the right bottom of the status bar in the web browser, also check the info aout the certificate. Following that simple steps you will be very happy with your computer and you will not have any problem with viruses and badware.

You knew it was coming and its now true. Apple will soon offer Windows XP support on Macintosh systems, a strategy designed to attract new converts. The option, called Boot Camp, is currently in beta form, and allows Windows XP to run on Intel-powered Macs. "Apple has no desire or plan to sell or support Windows, but many customers have expressed their interest to run Windows on Apple's superior hardware, now that we use Intel processors," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide product marketing. "We think Boot Camp makes the Mac even more appealing to Windows users considering making the switch." Apple Won't Support Windows Apple's decision to support dual-booting between Windows and Mac OS X was met by immediate jubilation and horror, depending on the crowd. But again, this announcement doesn't really mean much to enterprise customers. That's because Apple is refusing to support Windows on a Mac. Users can download the Boot Camp software, install it, configure their Mac, and then install XP. But if anything goes wrong with Windows, you're on your own. In my own tests of Boot Camp, the Apple solution appears to work quite well. But the term "no support" should logically send up all kinds of warning signals to IT. You'd have to be a particular kind of crazy to send your employees out the door with unsupported systems, no matter how beautiful that hardware might be. And let's face it, Apple doesn't exactly understand enterprise pricing as it is. The problem here, of course, is that Apple isn't targeting businesses and likely never will. The company is experiencing a Renaissance thanks to its iPod portable music players and clever marketing. It sells products in shopping malls. It targets teen-agers, women, and college students. And you know what? It's doing quite well, thank you very much. It's just that businesses need not apply. What It all Means It's rare to have two significant industry-oriented interoperability events like this occur in one week. It's even rarer, perhaps, for such events to essentially mean nothing to Windows users even though, on the face of things, they seem to affect the Windows world quite a bit. My guess is that corporations will continue to consolidate NT 4.0 servers on Virtual Server and that businesses of all sizes will continue to buy and use PCs not Macs. You know, maybe nothing happened last week at all. If you have a Mac and want to screw it up, please visit: Mac BootCamp. What is next, Vista Portable edition on ipods? Crazy world....

The Central American Free Trade Agreement (known as CAFTA) is an expansion of NAFTA to five Central American nations (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica and Nicaragua), and the Dominican Republic. It was signed May 28, 2004, and passed through the U.S. House of Representatives by one vote in the middle of the night by the U.S. Congress on July 27, 2005. El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic have also approved the agreement. Costa Rica has yet to vote on the agreement. CAFTA is a piece in the FTAA jigsaw puzzle, and is based on the same failed neoliberal NAFTA model, which has caused the "race to the bottom" in labor and environmental standards and promotes privatization and deregulation of key public services. (In fact, one of the consequences by signing the NAFTA was that ONE million of mexican employees became fired, and then, that million of unemployed mexicans went illegaly to USA) Due to strong resistance by several of the CAFTA countries parliaments who, when confronted by the reality of having to make the far-reaching changes to public health and other domestic laws required by the agreement are reluctant to actually implement the deal, the Bush administration was forced to delay the planned Jan. 1, 2006 implementation. Im totally disagree by two reasons: 1-Corporations are going to arrive to the smalls countries and they are going to compete with the small business, becoming impossible to give a proper competition between them. 2- The constitution become null if the CAFTA is aproved, because international treaties have priority, so legal procedures within the constitution become useless. So, what is your position about the CAFTA, please vote. External links: CAFTA definition by Wikipedia United States Department of Agriculture Costa Rica Documentary about CAFTA (IN SPANISH)

Yeah i already saw that in a Science Website. Cooking? lol, thats a nice way of explainig how the radiowaves affects your brain. By the way, do the next experiment, put a cell phone near to speakers or a monitor (best results with monitor ) and call to your cell phone, a very nice interference will happen, obiously a electronic device will make interference, but cell phones makes more interference than another gadgets.

Researchers at the Swedish National Institute for Working Life issued a report this week disputing two earlier studies that claimed cell phone use has no correlation to increased brain tumor risk. The Swedish study found that long-term mobile phone exposure could raise the chance of developing cancer. In January, a four-year study performed by the London-based Institute of Cancer Research and three British universities found that talking on a cell phone had no effect on tumor rates. That research included 966 people with glioma brain tumors and 1,716 healthy respondents. Individuals were questioned on first use, lifetime years of use, cumulative hours of use, and number of calls they made. However, the new Swedish study is the biggest yet to cover long-term mobile phone usage, including 2,200 cancer patients and an equal number of healthy individuals. It found that a tenth of those with a malignant brain tumor were also heavy phone users -- logging 2,000 hours or more of total talk time. The number correlates to about 10 years of phone activity."Of these 905 cases, 85 were so-called high users of mobile phones, that is they began early to use mobile and/or wireless telephones and used them a lot," the study's authors said. The study also reported a higher risk of a tumor on the side of the head where the phone is held. Overall, the report suggested a 240 percent increased risk of a malignant tumor on this part of the head. Other factors, such as smoking habits and working history were taken into consideration as well. The Swedish researchers did have one recommendation for people looking to cut down on any potential cancer risk from cell phones: use a headset.Obviously, if the final report say that cell phones are a real threat for human health, electronic industry must be aware of it, otherwise, a real problem can become from that.I really apreciate if anyone can post more information about this, because this concern everyone who use cell phones.

Bittorrent Client What is your favorite BT client?
keysmaker replied to snlildude87's topic in Software
Well, I highly recommend the BitComet client, I use it for downloading the Linux SUSE DVD and it works amazingly better than the Official (bit torrent) client, also you are able to chat with the people who seeds or leechs the .torrent file, allows easy swapping between tasks, and it is very secure, try it at BitComet Homepage Good luck and have fun with BitComet! -

Well, the Tokyo giant strikes again, with a new "vision" of making happy customers (money ) and high developed devices, in this case, Sony bets for the new console, the Play Station 3, that is going to be released in early November.Sony believes that the future is Internet, and they decided to make a reliable and easy way to download the newest games ONLINE! As XBOX but much better, because the PS3 will be able to download a ENTIRE game (not a deo version, or a simple arcade game) so user will be updated without buying BLU-Raid discs, just paying a kinda membership.Phil Harrison, president of Worldwide Studios for Sony Computer Entertainment, announced last wednesday that the company is jumping headlong into online gaming that allows users to download full games over the Internet. The initiative, announced at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, follows the lead of Microsoft's Xbox Live, which also creates online distribution channels and opportunities to create communities of users online who can play against each other in real time.Xbox Live allows players to download certain classic arcade games, but Sony said it will take it a step further by offering newer titles. It will also offer different levels of service: a free service for PlayStation 3 owners along with a paid service for additional features. Also they are focusing on the online features of the PlayStation 3, which is the future of Sony's gaming business. They believe that games can have the same social currency like a great television program. The move to an online-based business is likely to anger retailers who can now be bypassed by the consumers buying games online. But it has a potential to resonate with users and developers, especially producers of smaller games who might not have the muscle to get their games onto the shelves of a big retailer but might flourish through online distribution. This can now be like iTunes where a smaller game can take off. The opportunity to distribute online really opens the door for games. So, what do you think, Is this going to be the answer to the customers needs, or it will be a Empire like Apple, maybe, maybe not, just wait 'til November, and start saving money, for paying a broandband connection and for buying the new PS3.

Question About Robots.txt File What exactly does it do?
keysmaker replied to Mich's topic in Web Hosting Support
The file name utilized by the robot exclusion protocol. Web robots download this file from the servers document root and parse it for instructions on what to index and not to index. The case of the file name does not matter, but it must exist in the document root. for example: User-agent: GooglebotDisallow : /User-agent: *Disallow: /forum/ Where user-agent is the name of the robot or spider, in this case this instruction disallow to Googlebot (google robot) to index all the site. In the next instruction, the "wildcard" belongs to ALL the robots or spiders, disallowing the indexing only to "/forum/" directory. Is a good idea to set up the robots.txt file, avoiding that search engines crawdle into your gallery, anyway, if you want to share the content, simply put a flat .txt file with this inside: User-agent: *Disallow :
