I just noticed that a day ago... It is nice here. The forums themselves have improved vastly over the past few days.

Whatever. Most of the forums I participate in have size limits. I am getting ready to start up a forum, and any member who has a signature larger than 500x200 pixels is warned (and banned if not fixed). Animated banners and signatures will be fine.It was said in another thread around here that people "express" themselves with their signatures. It is a signature... woop-de-doo... We all have websites (most of us in this forum) that serve the need to express ourselves just fine. I personally value the content of the post over the signature. Oh, and no need to get snippy.

I was driving on I-25 to Albuquerque (LONG drive from where I live). I was crusing down at about 145 miles per hour when a hail storm rolls in. A hailstone the size of a baseball hits my windshield, I panic which caused me to swerve 2 lanes over and nearly wreck. Moral of the Story:Don't do 145 mph in hail storms.

My worst addiction is COFFEE. I am up to two pots a day, and if I don't get it, I get severe headaches.

I had my speakers turned all the way up because I was listening to music, and the sound scared the hell out of me!I loathe websites when they use such sound effects.

I did a little pop-up experiment. I signed one of my sites up for Popuptraffic.com (a pay-per-impression popup ad network) for a month.That site got 14,090 page views that month, and I put one pop-up on each page. Did users complain?Very few.There are so many people with blockers so they didn't even notice any difference.Of those 14,090 page views, only 238 of them actually saw a pop-up. That got me less than 50 cents. 50 cents was all I got for a MONTH's worth of popups.Pop-ups are a waste of time, as they are not effective at all anymore. I use only text ads now, and I have made hundreds of times the money I did from that month of pop-ups.

Adhearus is awsome! I use it for my forums: http://www.THE-COMMUNITY.BIZ/ They have tons of choices to choose from (I only use the small text ads). Their payout is also great. I started at 13 cents per click, but that gets higher with more page views. My forums are dead with only 6 members (it's a brand-new community) and the payout is already great! I just got 58 cents for ONE click and I havn't had TONS of page views since joining (a few weeks ago). I recently put a page view counter on each forum page just to see my total page views. That only bad thing is that the ads take you to a "gateway page" and the user must click on that to get credit. Great service all in all!

What in the bloody hell is wrong with a real plotline? What is wrong with something interesting and entertaining? I hate reality shows so much because they lack a plot and they are not entertaining. These reality shows do nothing but prove that most of America is a vast culture-less wasteland. "The Swan" was a complete disgrace. I detest plastic surgery in all forms because it is shallow and objetifying.

It really pisses me off when people say things like "That's gay" or "He's a *BLEEP*". It is extremely disrespectful to an entire group of human beings. Since the dawn of the text message, people have been getting lazier and lazier. They started to use stupid "chat slang" that annoys the hell out of me. Some examples: lol brb rite nite convo im weird ASCII characters those damned smiley faces etc etc etc etc..... What is so wrong with a COMPLETE sentence? How much work is it? Oh no! I have to type 22 more keys! Please... This issue didn't really piss me off untill I had to grade another student's essay only to find this crap in it. That's right, an essay that was to be turned in to the instructer.

I agree with Bush's policy and actions in Iraq and it is good that we went in to check for WMD. I also support the removal of Saddam Hussein from power.I disagree with some of his views for issues at home. Abortion should be decided between the woman and her doctor. NO ONE ELSE. I also don't like a president who tries to tell me how to live my life and strip me of all the civil rights that the other 90% of the country enjoy (yet still enjoy collecting MY tax dollars).

Bush and the Republicans are almost the exact opposite of socialism! This rumour is pure bull. Martial law will not be declared in the US. The internet is a blessing AND a plague.... *sighs* --- What would I do IF martial law was declared? --- I would buy a small island in the pacific. LOL

The host I am on now is great, offers more space than Trap 17 with fewer posts (I won't advertise the competition here, so I won't give the name or URL)BUTTheir application process has pretty much come to a hault, so new members aren't getting it (for now). I am here just to hang out with the community and talk. --- back on topic ---Whether or not a host sucks all depends on perspective and what one needs. A personal site owner is not going to need an assload of databases and fancy PHP programs for example. I think the "This host sucks" remark should be changed to "This host isn't usefull to ME" in most cases. Of coarse, if it's slow, too many ads, etc than it does genuinly suck. However, the "suck" judgement is mis-used in most cases.

I will have to vote for someone who HAS A CHANCE (even though one of those third-party candidates may infact be a great president, but he won't win).My vote goes to Kerry, but it's very close. In my book, Kerry has 51 and bush 49. All the people who say that Kerry flip-flops.... Who doesn't? Bush flip-flops sometimes too. It's called POLITICS.Also, there is such a thing as changing one's mind. I would rather have a candidate that changes his views as new information or reason comes than one who keeps the same old stagnant opinion that gets us nowhere (IE Bush).

LoL.They are both nut-jobs that don't deserve the office. It is sad that you can visit your local grocer and choose from over 700 types of mustard, yet we have these two idiots to choose from for our next leader.

It is really stupid to say "Oh Host X only offers 10 MB so they suck" or other similar remarks. The specs alone cannot make a host suck. In this example, 10 MB may be just fine for some people. Not everyone needs a website that is over-burdened with fancy-dancy things *cough cough*. If the webhost only offers 10 MB and 1 GB of bandwidth, it doesn't suck. It just simply doesn't meet the demands of most the members HERE. Now, what WOULD make a webhost suck is if they claimed to offer the 10 MB but only gave 2. A host that is honest and delivers exactly what they say they will doesn't suck. I would rather do business with the 10 MB host than one that claims to offer 10 GB but doesn't. Do you see what I mean? It's hard to explain.
