MCA or Masters of Computer "Applications" is a course name...aimed to rollout candidates for developing software applications in various fieldsWe have 1 specilizations from 2nd semester at Masters Level..I completed my Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA), but there we had specialization in the 2nd-last semester.. & last sem was project work...My specialization was in EJB/CORBA & Visual C++ with MFCNow in Masters Program we have following specializations lined up:Sem2: Multimedia, Animation & Data Visualization or Digital Signal Processing or (My Choice)Object Oriented Programming (Already done this at Bachelors)Sem3:OS, Unix & Linux or (Already done this at Bachelors)System Administration or (My Choice)COM/DCOM Sem4:Computer Architecture or Account & Financial Management orNetwork Security (My Choice)Sem5:Current Trends in Technology orMobile Computing or (My Choice)CORBA (Already done this at Bachelors)Sem6:Live Industrial Experience/InternshipAnd regarding jobs being outsourced to India...well its just that Labour over here is cheaper...But of course...no doubt over the US candidates...I always laugh at this fuss of jobs and outsourcing... Each person is in someway important...but Media & Politians make a mockery out of it.... -
Is It Legal To Install Windows Xp On Another Hdd?
zoomingrocket replied to andrescasta's topic in Operating Systems
Well...its a lengthy Windows Product Activation (WPA) Stuff that i read on Microsoft Site when i purchased a Legal Copy of Windows... The WPA works on the following: WPA system checks ten categories of hardware: Display Adapter SCSI Adapter IDE Adapter (effectively the motherboard) Network Adapter (NIC) and its MAC Address RAM Amount Range (i.e., 0-64mb, 64-128mb, etc.) Processor Type Processor Serial Number Hard Drive Device Hard Drive Volume Serial Number (VSN) CD-ROM / CD-RW / DVD-ROM All these form a 25-digit key which is transmitted to Microsoft site while activation.. Now.. out of these.. atleast 7must stay intact when u reinstall or reformat your system and activate the copy. If u change more than 4stuffs in your computer...you would have to manually call up Microsoft and get your copy activated! Generally it happens if u blow up your MB & Processor... So as far as you are concerned with new Harddisk and formatting.. its fine... You can do it without any worries... Another thing you can do is... keep the same VOLUME ID Note your current system root volume id by typing 'vol' in command prompt.. e.g.1F2E-3C4B Save this number and then after your reinstall your system on new harddisk...BEFORE activation...change your volume id back to the earlier noted stuff using Volume ID restore software at: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ This way, you turn one of the VOTING like system infavour of YOU...and avoid further chance of any activation denial! Finally and most important part of all... If your COPY is an OEM copy...you have do not have to worry...as OEM copies can be reactivated regardless of hardware changes... If its a RETAIL copy, then only this Hardware Validation is checked each time you activate the copy... And in any case.. you can activate your copy of Windows zillons of time...but on the same machine Hope this clears your doubts... -

Contact Lenses Or Glasses? Which do you prefer?
zoomingrocket replied to shigajet's topic in Health & Fitness
Well.. i am using Glasses since 7yrs now and i feel comfortable in it...I tried contact lenses...but they are big pain as i stay in India where Pollution and dust is everywhere...So..even after wearing contact lenses, i had to wear a plain glass spects to prevent dust while driving...All in all, the same stuff... Glasses...Hence i prefer to wear them directly and they are much flexible for me..Regarding LASIK..well the technology is quite widespread here...but many ppl who underwent the surgery 5-6yrs back are again facing the same problem of eye-sight..and believe me they have to wear the Glasses again And no corrective surgery is possible again after the LASIK is underwent once...So i feel its risky to mess with an important body part like EYE..Thumbs up for Glasses... -
Well...from your problem i diagnose two common solutions...(i)Take out your RAM stick.. and clean its contacts by using a ERASER from both sides until they again sparkle shine...Now fit it back and try again to start your computer...(ii)Your motherboard might be grounded to some part of the cabinet...For this, remove your motherboard carefully and put a piece of newspaper or thin thermacol based paper and mark all the holes..Now put your motherboard back..screw it up tight..plug all connection and try to poweronNOTE: Please remember the connections for cabinet small wires like poweron, reset switch, hdd led...else you would frustrate yourself trying to figure it out!If both this dont help..then please call a system engg for further assistance.

Hello everyone... I would like to share my poem with you all.. There is a point in life... When everything seems diluted.... The precious memories seems fading... Feelingsseems to loose its touch.. Emotions are easily laughed at... We loose the track of time... We read a book to fell asleep... We smile more; hide the bitter pain... Is it a state of mind or passing phase?? PONDER..... Do lemme know your feedback.. Thanks
