  1. well my friend also offered this to me, and it really is just a pyramid scheme...can't really like those schemes for they always screw the last person to come around...thx for the info anyway...
  2. baldur's gate is nice...if you like diablo, try games like spells of gold, sacred, etc...they're kinda nice...
  3. well it's so easy, just make 2 web-based emails (use free ones) and keep on sending mail with one address to the other...after a month (or any time span u wish), log in to the other email and reverse the process...easy rite...
  4. for a desktop i agree with grave digger... i prefer an AMD PC.. the turion series are good...save yourself some money and forget about the SATA harddisk. IMHO we don't need the SATA speed yet... and i have had some rather nasty experience with SATA HDD's...i usually use logitech for keyboard and mouse, they're nice...for speakers, altec lansing is a guarantee...have fun...
  5. google is surely new.i used netscape way before IE.got acquanted with mosaic, but preferred netscape...yahoo is old, but hotmail was older than yahoo.geocities is quite old too.in the olden days there was only html and a little bit of java. java is a luxury.probably cern was the first website because they created it...the united states military is a good guess also...telnet, aol, etc are not new either.but it's probably CERN no?
  6. actually, galvanized tires are sturdy enough for daily use, and since the manufacturers have developed galvanizing to such efficiency, it will probably be hard for other materials to enter the competition...furthermore, now that we can (and should) recycle plastic tyres, there really is no need to change, is there?
  7. synthetic oil is mostly used as lubricants.well you could produce oil from most anything that has carbon molecules, but nowadays the best we can do is use palm oil and the sort...for plenoptic, please remember that there is no such thing as a free lunch... where do you think electricity comes from?and what exactly are you referring to when you say "lenghten the life of earth"?most electrical plants on earth at this moment uses coal as their energy source. coal burning releases at least CO2 into the atmosphere. other than that there is a high probability that coal burning also releases sulpur, nitrogen, etc...
  8. AMD definitely... it's cost-effective, high performance, and it is now much more reliable (compared to the olden days when intel held the world market together with mac). Ok it is a bit hotter than intel, but a cheap fan should do the trick. i have used AMD for around 8 years now and i never had to replace the processor even though i sometimes leave it on for days (and i didn't even install extra fans). no problem with durability... and AMD is much easier to overclock (should you ever feel the urge to do so)...
