  1. I got my name on pages - 2055, 1345, 1161, 1108, 973, 942.lowest time: 5.068.don't think practice can make me more faster. maybe i'll go about 4.000, but not less!gosh the top scorer has 1.515. Is there a cheat code for this thing??
  2. I got a 138.But i don't believe you can ever judge the IQ of a person by 35questions. can you?Within those 35 questions there would have been 10s of other distractions...the brain needs to be tested over time to judge the real strength of it.
  3. I would say that if you come from a programming background, since you've already programmed in VB, you would get hang of things pretty fast. But you've got to be aware that C/C++ are less forgiving than VB is. You have to know what you are doing. Only practice can make you close to perfect here
  4. I hate it when i open my inbox and i don't see a single new mail. We've gotten so used to this mode of communication - email, that when noone mails me, it feels like nobody has communicated with me, noone remembered me.So what i'm saying is that the net made me this way - slave of the inbox
  5. i speak Hindi, but since Hindi is already done by knowledge pool...i'll tell it in German Ich Liebe DichI Love You
  6. lol! true, the governments around the world would not be going by the market ratings! Is it true that sometimes the antivirus companies are themselves involved in promoting/supporting hacking groups; hackers help their business continuity afterall?
  7. I needed free hosting for JSP, and i reached Xisto with more than an hour of research on google!I bet a bit of *googlebombing* here would be useful
  8. picture this - after about 500 years from today, earth would have used up all it's enery resources. We would even landed on moon and the other nearby planets and withing the next 1500 years we would have used them up as well. The next target would be the sun! piece by piece the human race woudl eat away on the sun's energy!5billion years down the line, the sun won't have much in it to expand and gulp all of us he he!
  9. I'm not much of a php fan. I've been using html and JSPs for all my work. But i think php is a much more stronger language than html. even though it is cryptic it is faster, dynamic and with many more features. example: accessing databases is possible in php. but i don't think it's possible in simple html.
  10. I've been using Mcafee for the last couple of years. I've not yet had a virus problem .McAfee frequently download virus signatures from the net - like every couple of hours! i dunno what it does but it's keeping my PC clean.haven't used Panda antivirus yet. Is it better than McAfee?
  11. I like firefox. Not only because it has better feature functionality that IE, but FF is more safer! There are thousands of anti MS viruses and Trojans out there. Thank God for the open source, FF is made much safer and less targetted by viruses and trojans.
  12. I think it all depends on the machurity level. You've probably heard it so many times - a childs mind is like clay. Experiences could mould him into a good kid or could bend his mind towards being 'not so good'.I've seen so many kids and adults that play these video games. I can say that about 75% of them are addicted to it. Once they start they don't get up for like 3-4 hours! Now imagine a young kid (or maybe even a young adult) playing a violent game for 4 hours...picking guns, killing aliens, blasting enemy troupes...I feel that some of these kids when troubled by something in real life might think of trying to resolve their problems just as do in gaming...thru violence! They don't know what is right or what is wrong. they only know one way of solving their issues - violence. Yes, game rating is very important, and so is parent's role in deciding what their kids play with.
  13. It's using some kinda formulaes and java script for calculating the world population. I changed my system date to 2050 AD. The world population became something like - 10billion!!! but the #of births today/#of deaths today etc remained constant. Funny! Apparently the site designer forgot to use all variables in the worldometer program cheers!Ankush
  14. I came to know of Xisto recently, and could not resist joining it.It's an amazing concept over which this business is being run. It's good for the consumers in every sense !
