I think windows 7 is best OS. It has a lot of futures. I think Windows 7 is finished version of Vista.

Run anti-spyware scan + scan with latest database of yor AV software. I think virus will be in autorun.ini file in disk.

I think Kaspersky Internet Security is better... I've been using KIS for 3 years. Many times rescued me. I had a problem when all exe files were infected... I have a lot of them. I tried to cure them with nod, avast, Dr.Web but only Kaspersky helped me. Cured 99% of files. Well... I think that Kaspersky is better.
