Deforestation. Cause and Effect.
Tian1405241576 replied to TheFury's topic in Science and Technology
Yes, yordan you are right, at some extent, that understanding the problem is already one step ahead. Anyway,as the global warming keep deteriorating these days, I think the Deforestation plays very important part on it. It is an very urgent issue already. Yes I admit that I am somewhat impatient to wait for the good results step by step. And I really wondering how much time the planet would allow us to compensate with? The answer I am afraid that it won't be too long. Just take my hometown as instance, the government and paper company are encouraging farmers to cut down native species to grow eucalypti, because it bring more profit to them. Sometimes I just feel helpless and yes my willing is strong, yet what a shame I can do nothing about that. You are right too that we could vote for these who think as us. Hopefully we could find someone we could trust with. That might be the best solution we can rely on in terms of the scales. -
Deforestation. Cause and Effect.

I am afraid that we all know it all well those damage deforestation caused. But how could we do our share to save us, the tropical rainforests, as well as the planet? What I willing to read is the solution, rather than devastating consequences. Given that simply banning the timber trade or establishing reserves will not be enough to salvage the world's remaining tropical rainforests. So, what should be done? The solution must be based on what is feasible, not overly idealistic, and depends on developing a new conservation policy built on the principle of sustainable use and development of rainforests. So this is a very tricky to solve and balance those interested ends. For myself, I never waste papers and take all the chances to encourage others to do so. But sometimes I am really wondering if it is enough to salvage the world? -
Which Antivirus, Antispyware & Firewall You Use?
Tian1405241576 replied to Jguy101's topic in Software
I have tried many Anti-Virus, finally I chose Nod32 as my partner. The reason why I choose it is just because my laptop is something old style with short resources. Nod32 is quite small and really works well for my laptop these days and drain little resources. Actually my original Anti-Virus is norton, but it take too much resources and my laptop load it very slowly. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying Nod32 is the best and all others sucks. I choose Nod32 is just because it fit my laptop well. I only choose the right one, not the best one. -
So yordan, did you ask for that Backblaze yet? I am kind of curious about if you were the only one asking that day? I would also give it a shot if you obtain it that way.

Document Digitization How to approach this?
Tian1405241576 replied to FirefoxRocks's topic in Software
If the scanner is big enough, you can put as many documents as you could at one time, say 10. This way at least it could reduce your labors down to one 10th since your documents 90% of it is in regular 8.5"*11" letter sized paper. And I am so curious about the solution to this problem you found, could you sharing it with us? Thank you! -
The more I use Mozilla Firefox, the more I love it. Mozilla Firefox provide lots of awesome add-on, especially gladder, which can help me to cope with the wall. You may never know how it feel like when you even can access some web sites like blogspot and youtube. But sometimes I have to use Internet Explorer, the reason is that some of our local sites do not provide support on online movies. But still some shortcomings for Mozilla Firefox, what a shame it is that some web sites still can not be accessed even though with the gladder!

I just gave it a shot by using one of my main keywords in Bing.com. I have to admit this is my first time to use Bing.com. To my surprise it shows on the first page, but the 10th page on Google. It is a good news for me though on this respect. I did no expect the situation like this. I am a Google fans too and I use lot of tools they provide. But it won't be a problem for me to use Bing.com once in a while. More options are always better than no options, right?

I heard a lot complaints on dp forum about how terrible their blog perform on transition rate. When I clicked their url in their sigs and found that some of them are really against all the principles you mentioned here. To be honest, sometimes I would try to stuff as more keywords as I could to my articles. You are right each keyworded to their own niche would perform better. Do one thing at a time and always focused to one subject. Anyway Tavox, thanks sharing this wonderful articles.

I never met such situation on my searching history. But this kind of problem was quite weird. As for Google's pagination links, the last page results are mostly means irrelevant to what you are searching for. So some radicals would suggest not showing a “last” link. Who cares what the last results on a Google search for “usability”? Google may think users always focus on first results. The theory is that people would narrow their search until what they look for are in the top results.

Google Sites did not let me down at all when it comes to create a free no-brainer of private web sites quickly. At that time I knew few about web site building and coding. At least it is better than its early generation of services like Geocities. The reason may be that I did not expect high from the very beginning. But I quit it last year after I found that Wetpaint.com with clearer interfaces, and more flexible to use. Now I think I have found something better and I can expect more with Xisto.
