Don't forget that God created us in His image. The exciting part is that when we get to heaven we get to see God face to face with that relationship continuing and deepening, because...we are already created in his image.

What we really have here is a transition. Through disobedience Adam & Eve were separated from God. (Remember how before that God would go walking in the garden of eden with Adam. That doesn't sound to me like a harsh God.) But now God could no longer stand to look at man. All He would see was the sin. Through the sacrifices of animals, the sin was covered, but never taken away. Hence, the old testament people had a nature that strayed from God and wandered after sin, like always finding false idols to spend time on by worshiping them. However, God was always searching for a man to follow Him and obey Him, but He found precious few. Finally, He found Abram who He renamed Abraham. Through him He was able to find a young maiden that permitted His seed to be born of the Holy Spirit. This began the New Testament. For as soon as Jesus died on the cross He was the perfect sacrifice who no longer covered sin but through sinlessness was able to wash our sins away. Hence, from then on when God saw anyone who had accepted Jesus as their Savior, He no longer saw the sin. Now He only saw Jesus in that person and a love relationship could begin to form and develop. Also, the Bible talks of turning a man's heart of stone to a heart of flesh. Now, men became compassionate about serving God and loving their fellow man. If you notice that the New Testament believers met together alot and broke bread from house to house. So all that to say that man was really the cause for God to react the way He did to them in the New and Old Testaments and not the other way around. HTH

I remember being in a Science and Dynamic Change geology class at the University of Wisconsin. One day the professor brought up the Bible as he discussed dynamic change. He used the Old Testament as an example of how you know the accuracy of a history account by phrases they use. In the crossing of the Red Sea some details of the climate and /or vegetation could only be given by a person very well acquainted with the area and the particular time in history, according to my professor. Furthermore, an outsider would have given a different account. Hence, this professor concluded that the Bible was historically accurate and possibly accurate in other things as well. I believe that he simply chose not to be a believer, because you see, my professor was an atheist! I found that amazing. He never said what Jesus said was untrue; he just simply chose not to believe.

This is the first I have seen in my local city and it is ongoing. Most are just drives that have an ending, this one doesn't.The way it works is fairly simple really. The bank has a book cart and a table in its lobby as people enter through the main entrance. They can browse the books and put cash in for whatever they take. The cost is .50 cents for a paperback and $1.00 for a hard cover. Of course, if you don't have cash on you...you are at a bank. The exchange part is that they welcome donations of any kind of books as well as cash. These book donations are in turn put out in the lobby for sale. And the book sale continues on....Each month the proceeds go to a different charilty. For example, last month the money went to WAVE , which stands for "Woman Against Violence".I asked the bank teller, what if a person donates more technical books, and they don't get sold? She said they haven't had that problem. They do welcome any kinds of books, even the more technical ones.Hence, I am donating some of my older computer books, and hopefully other people will do so also. This would be great if the idea would catch on in other cities as well. Or has it?

Wonderful! I love it!Thanks for sharing! -
Or is it a browser search engine? In any case, sidekiq.com features a search engine that searches whatever search engine you select in whatever category you select. You select the search engines located in a full page left sidebar that expands and collapses with every choice made. The categories range from "the Web" to "Video/TV search" to "Gaming" to "Business and Money". The results appear in a browser to the right of the sidebar. I see this as Web 2.0 at its best. Not in the sense of interactivity but in the sense of convenience. You never have to type in your search keywords twice and the page does the work for you. You also have full control. You can search as few or as many search engines as you want. I wanted to post a few screen shots here, however, I could not find an upload button. So here is the site so you can try it out for yourself http://www.sidekiq.com/ Very impressive.

A new way to share is making its way around the globe. Freecycle.org now boasts almost 4,000 communities with a whopping 3 million members. You go to Freecycle.org and find your country, state and then down to your city or the city listed that is nearest you. The freecycle group for Rockford, Il is a Yahoo group called Rockford_area_freecycle. Hence, all you do to become a member is register with the Yahoo group rockford_area_freecycle. I would recommend having one email address dedicated to solely receiving freecycle emails. I have many gmail invitations I could freely give away upon request to mtnbluet@gmail.com. The basic rules are 3 Topic titles--Offer, Taken, and Wanted . That is all that is needed to give things away and request things within a community. Also if a community is spread out it is helpful to identify the location you are Offering the item from. That depending upon the value to the person that wants your item they can email you that they are interested or they can refrain if it is a ways for them to drive. If you don't find any location close to you, you can request to be the moderator for a new one to be started in your locality. All it entails is manually approving the posts on a daily basis so that spam does not get through and spoil the eperience for everyone. You definitely want to create a new email address for your freecycle community emails as you can easily get 25 posts in one day. I also request people to give me their phone numbers for anything I offer. That cuts way down on no-shows which can be a problem otherwise.I have included a picture of our group image. I have given away old pcs and monitors and computer parts.I have most recently received a manual treadmill and a webcam.I love it!!! It is a truly fun way of doing business!! Again the main thing to stress that everything has to be free or the fun would be lost and of course it is against the rules. And yes "swapping" computer parts is a huge part of this "exhange " I would say at least one third of all offerings and wants are computer related and things really go fast!

The latest release that you can download is Gizmo Project 2.0.3.235(Nov 2006) at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Project is either a free or cheap soft phone. Free for Gizmo Project to Gizmo Project callers or business callers and cheap ( 1 cents per minute) for Gizmo Call Out and 35 dollars per year for Gizmo Call In.Call Out means you can call out to a regular telephone and Call In means a regular telephone can call in to you.Call Out works like a pre-paid phone. I downloaded Gizmo Project onto my computer in May and paid the minimum of $10.00. (I believe I paid through Pay Pal) and they gave me 25 cents of free calling. I have used the minutes when I want to make long-distance calls and at 1 cent per minute the price cannot be beat. It is now January 7th and I still have $4.64 on my phone. There are no extra charges to eat up your pre-paid money and so it is a joy to watch the pennies literally melt away at an unbelievable slow rate. The Gizmo Project phone is always ready when I am, so reliability is a big plus. So, if you are looking for a cheap reliable Internet phone or just a home phone for cheap long distance calling, Gizmo Project is the soft phone for you.

A True Alternative To Paypal? What And Why!
mtnbluet replied to Transcendum's topic in Websites and Web Designing
For the record, I have used PayPal periodically for the past year and haven't had a single problem with them. That said: 1) If I ever get an email supposedly from PayPal I do notclick on the link but go straight to my PayPal site. Most times that email was a phishing fake email. 2)Do try out http://www.greenzap.com/ as an alternative to PayPal and does work similarly to PayPal. I also respect them since I completed a brainteaser contest and they actually did send me a Green Zap T-shirt on a black background. It was very nice and in my size. So...check it out.
