  1. I havent tried it but after reading the thread I dont think I will I do play Guild Wars every so often though! Its great!
  2. If it has to be free I would say go with runescape. It is very good considering its free and the payed option is also a bargain for what you get. But consider the option of Guild Wars. You only have to buy the game, there are no monthly fees and it is a very good game! Many people prefer playing it to world of warcraft!Good luck
  3. Does anyone know how to put an icon on a website? Im talking about the one in the top left of the browser and next to the url in the browser.
  4. I was a really big fan of Dungeon Siege and DSII. I thought they were really good games with months of gameplay, I stil play DS I from time to time. The fighting is cool, there are so many different ways to approach each fight but it was stil simple. It was quick to learn and there's no real 'art' to mastering it. Also, the bigger your party gets the more tactical the battles become. I also like the way you can spit a bunch of enemies by making them follow you, it allows you to get past some tough areas by taking it slow! Its a game you can play over and over, each time using a different combination of characters. The characters are so versatile, you can make different combinations of each class, better than in say, Diablo, where you have to choose from the start.I think the best thing about the game though is the multiplayer. Its awesome to play in groups and I always prefer co-op multiplayer games. You learn to compliment each others styles making for lots of fun and almost endless possibilities. Even playing in multiplayer by yourself is awesome. Your characters can become really strong quickly and I othen find it more fun with just one character.Well, thats a few of the reasons I think they were such great games. What do you think?
  5. This is rather strange but I would also say its definatly from the same database! That would explain the same topic ID, also knowing that they are part of the same network can confirm its the same database!Enjoy the extra advertising!
  6. With work and things like that I dont think I wl be able test it personally but I will forward your site to my cousin. He is stil in school and has much more time than I do. Also, he likes making games, dont know what he uses but some of his games are made in Game Maker (there is a thread somewhere here for that too).Im sure he can put your system through some good testing.Keep up the good work
  7. I had an idea today. What if they made a small ‘golf computer’ like a PDA that can be used to help with your course management, club selection etc. It can have a touch screen and can be preloaded with information about the course you are going to play. It could produce all sorts of information about the course including details about each hole, various slopes for the hole as well as the green and possibly a map of each hole. The amount of data that could be stored is huge and golfers will love it because they always like to use stats! Also, it can be combined with information about you. E.g. How far you hit each club and the trajectory with which you hit the ball. From this it could help you select a club and show you the best way to approach the green. I think this will be especially valuable information to golfers playing a course for the first time. There are several other functions I would put on it. Starting with an automatic scorecard and a projected handicap. Or maybe a way to help you enter target scores and it sets up your approach to each hole. Helping you every bit of the way.I think this will be a pretty sweet invention and I’m sure golfers will buy it. Ok, there are always the few that will think they don’t need machines but for the majority it will help. What do you guys think of my idea?
  8. I hate how people spam some boards! Its like as soon as someone spams it all these 'ghosts in the darkness'come out for more spam!BLAH BLAH BLAHAnyway, back to the real thread. What type of engine is it? Is it for stand alone games or multiplayer games? How do you test it?
  9. There are so many good old games. From the ones already mentioned I likeThe Incredibly Machine, It had hours of gameplay in it!Zelda, awesome for playing with a few friends.Starcraft, I stil play it every now and again.Heroes of might and magic, they were all pretty good but I recon number IV was my favourite.Raptor: Call of the Shadows, really was awesome! All the cool weapons! This is one of the few games I played as a demo and it inspired me to buy the game! And Duck Hunt, the gun was awesome! But there's another series of games that aren't listen here. The XCOM UFO Defence series! They were in my opinion the best old games!Did anyone else ever play them? What did you think?
  10. Im not the biggest fan of mech games but I think there are a few things that are important in making a good mech game.First I think it should be simple. Some mech games are very difficult to play because they are just so complicated. All the different weapons, weapon shells, weapon tips, its tough to know what to load for the circumstances. Also, it shouldn't be too fast paced. It should give you time to think about whats going on and to move your mech properly. Often mech games seem too much like first person shooters, I dont think that makes for a good mech game.Lastly, the armour possibilitys are important. I like to be able to choose each piece of armour, colour, composition, things like that.
  11. LOLThis thread is one of the funniest ever! And oh so politically INcorrect. How about "Virtual golf spectator"You walk around a golf tournament and try watch special shots! And then the game gets too hectic when a golf ball almost hits you! Shoo, that would be an intense game. Ha Ha.
  12. Yeah, I tried there forums and check for my problem. I even tried asking them on the forums but couldn't find the problem. I will try turning off the verification code. Thanks
  13. I think its all in the gamers head. If he/she thinks the game will make him/her violent then it probably will. If the gamer understands its just a game then he/she wont be affected by the game but rather be affected by real life events. That being said it is very different to be addicted to a game. Its easy to get 'addicted' to a game which is really what happens! Some games get played way too much. Its the same as all things in life... Everything in moderation. If you do anything more than your suppost to then it will begin to affect you. But that goes for everything, no matter if its too much work, too much games or too much driving. So basically I think as long as you keep things in moderation then you wont have a problem being influenced by the games you play!
  14. Im looking for a forum that I can host on my server! I tried Simple Machines Forum but I cant get it to work properly! When a new user wanted to join it asks for a confirmation code, with a graphic but the graphic didn't appear. I tried re-uploading it as well as replacing the graphics files and trying different prefixes. If anyone knows of another site that offers similar options please let me know! Thanks
  15. I agree with Saint Michael. Those are clearly the best aspects from the current racing games! Have a look at Forza, it combines realism with the ability to customize your ride!In my opinion it is way more realistic than GT and you have the ability to make the cars look however you want.Another cool aspect from Forza is that you can unlock real custom cars! From originals to unique performance garage wonders! All real cars that have been built sometime or somewhere!
  16. aren't the nascar series arcade racers?
  17. I agree with most people on this thread. They should spend all that money on more important things. Every year the whole world spends so much time and money on unnesesary things when their are so many more important things to focus on!People are very strange things!
  18. I enjoy the flight simulator games, I just find they are too repetitive, each game is similar to the last. They only add more planes and locations but the rest of the game feels so similar to the last!Well, thats what I think anyway!
  19. Its not a bad site. I have been using them for a few months now and the payout rate is not bad. On the down side though... Popups and pop unders are very annoying. I even had a user ask me to remove the pop ups. I only have the pop ups on one specific page. The other problem is that most people use pop up blockers so where the page has been viewed a few thousand times I have only been credited with a few hundred views! I also applied for banner ads but it got rejected and when I emailed their customer support they told me it was because I had not yet delivered enough traffic for them to asses my site. An unlikely story! The plus side however is that users don't have to click anywhere! It really is CPM advertising. I also use google on my other pages and while they have received many more views I still haven't earned anything because only 3 people have clicked on a link!
  20. Its pretty cool! I like the simplicity of it. It returns lots of relevant sites!
  21. There is nothing wrong with button mashing! Its up to you how to play the games. Ive been beaten by a few button mashers and it annoyed me but after a while a realsied there is a style to beating them! You need to be patient and wait to make your move. Also if a button masher hits you its only a bit of damage each time but when you time a combo or special type move you do way more damage! Of course he could always try block your button mashing! If you blocked you and then countered it shouldn't be hard to beat a button masher. I must agree with everyone and say that if he can't beat you button mashing then perhaps he should try a bit of banging himself! On the other hand though I dont think its good for you to button mash. You say you're good with killik and voldo but how can you actually be 'good' at button mashing? I dont really think its a skill to bang the buttons! I suggest try playing the games with tactics. I find fighting with moves you know is way more satisfying than just hitting buttons not even knowing what your character is gonna do next! I think its way more fun do try moves and develop your own fighting styles with each character!
  22. Does anyone know of an advertising site that pays per ad impression? I joined Adsense but then I realised that their CPM is just a guide and you stil actually only get paid per click-through.Do all sites work like this? Or do I need a minimum number of credits?
  23. I found the link on this board a while ago and I really enjoy it! I wrote a review for it on my site so i thought Id post it here too! Enjoy! Review of Monster Bowl Monster Bowl is an online sport manager game. Your job is to manage a team of characters in a sport vaguely familiar to gridiron football. You take care of managing transfers, grounds upgrades and match strategy. When you start you choose a race. This is an important decision as different races have different strengths and weaknesses. You can upgrade your grounds and facilities in a variety of ways! Keep in mind though that you have to pay an upkeep on most upgrades so donât build too many. There are so many possibilities between the different races and their upgrades that it would take far too long to try list them all! Youâre going to have to decide on your own race and upgrades! The game is somewhat more violent than football, players literally fight for the ball and injuries are a regular occurrence! Every game can be watched using the useful java applet! Your team is made up of players varying in skills and abilities! Their skills include strength, toughness, stamina, ball control and speed! These skills help you determine not only how good a player is but also what position he or she is best suited for! Abilities are various other bonuses you can give your player! These range from helping catch the ball to giving him an edge when he is trying to steal the ball from an opponent. After every game your players gain experience according to their performance in the game! This experience is used to help them level up and gain skill points! Skill points are then used to improve skills and attributes. Having an awesome team with great stats and abilities is one thing but in order to win games you need the right tactic! Tactics are created using the unique java based tactic editor. With the tactic editor you select which players will play in which positions as well as what their role in the game will be! Here is a full description of the various roles: Blocker The blocker is a simple player type. The blocker always tries to attack the opponent closest to him or his starting point. Offensive Behavior The blocker attacks opponents close to him or his starting position. Defensive Behavior The blocker attacks opponents close to him or his starting position. Defender Defenders are the players who watch your back. The goal of the defenders is to stop your opponentâs players to score touchdowns. Offensive Behavior When your team is on the offensive your defender will try to defend the player holding the ball. They will attack opponents that are trying to attack the ball holder. Defensive Behavior Unless lured away from their post or you have a large superiority in players on the field your defenders will stand and wait for an opponent trying to score a touchdown. When an enemy player comes into range, the defender will try to intercept the opponent. Runner The runners are the players who are always looking for a way to score a touchdown. Offensive Behavior The runner is always looking for a way to score a touchdown. He might wait for a weakness to form in the opponentâs defense or he might run into the other teamâs part of the field to stir up trouble and creating an opening for his team. Defensive Behavior The runner tries to intercept the ball or the player holding it at any cost. The runner tries to avoid opponents in his way to the ball but if necessary he will try to go through them. Thrower The thrower is the guy who stands back and tries to find a player with a good chance to score a touchdown. Offensive Behavior The thrower tries to keep out of trouble so that he is available to participate in the passing games. Defensive Behavior The thrower tries to stay at his starting position and will take part in the defense from there. Ok, now that you have your team and your tactics sorted out you are ready to play your first game! Everyday you are allowed to play one challenge game. In addition, every forth day you will play a league game! There are loads of other features in Monster Bowl, from training to team settings! The game is free and I think its tons of fun! Check it out for yourself! http://www.monsterbowl.net/
