  1. About software compatibility, I'm sure that win32 executables will not work natively on those sistems, but they may me supported with a runtime interpreter or something like that (something like wine on linux).
  2. You use 1600x1400 resolution??????????? That's quite a rare resolution...Is it a 32", almost square monitor?Anyway each monitor has it's recommended resolution, and you should use that. If you use a lower one the image may be pixeled and if you use a higher one you may lose some information...

    Antivir And Nod31

I think he misspelled NOD32, a very powerful and low memory consuming antivirus.I've been using it for 2 years and for me it's the best. Well... I have only tryed Panda, Norton and NOD32, so I'm not an expert, but my friends liked it too.
  4. An other advantage of using GTalk to chat with all your contacts is that you can keep your conversation logs online so you can check them out wherever you are:)
  5. The only use for the extension is for Windows to know what kind of file it is. So if you configure in Windows "xxx.bizzarreextension" to be evaluated as an HTML file it will have the same functionallity as xxx.html or xxx.html.HTML files are just plain text files, wich text follow some rules to accomplish the w3c recommendation for Hypertext Meta Language. The 3 character extension is due to the 8.3 file name format on some old sistems like MSDOS
  6. I've got 3 desktop computers and 3 laptops, but the oldest laptop and the oldest desktop aren't working any more
  7. Begginners should learn XHTML, the strincter the better.HTML is wrongly designed from the beginning, it only makes new designers get cofused.XHTML is properly standardized, and is compatible with XML.The idea is to separate the CONTENT from the DESIGN and that is what XHTML + CSS is all about.
  8. As it's just javascript code, it's perfectly valid for w3c. In fact, it's just normal javascript using a new objet (XMLHttpRequest) to request something to the server. Maybe to execute a server-side application, to search a database, run cgi scripts or any other thing .
  9. When I installed Firefox 2.0 I got a little probelm... Accesskeys: I use access-key to follow links and send forms very often, and in Firefox 1.5 y default they were used by pressing "Alt"+"Accesskey". In Firefox 2.0 the default value has changed, so to follow accesskeys you many press: "Alt"+"Shift"+"Accesskey" wich is more complicated. To change Firefox 2's behaviour, browse: "about:config" and set the value of the following keys to: ui.key.chromeAccess = 5 ui.key.contentAccess = 4 This way the menu bar accesskeys are associated to the combination "Alt"+"Shift", and the accesskeys are associated to "Alt". Close tab button Maybe you prefer the old style for thec lose tab button or maybe you just want to try new ones. If you want to change the behaviour of this button browse "about:config" and set the value of browser.tabs.closeButtons to: 0 -> if you want the close tab button to appear only in the active tab. 1 -> if you want it to appear on every tab (default for Firefox2.0) 2 -> if you don't want to see the close tab button any more (middle click to close tab) 3 -> if you preffer the old style close tab button on the right of the tabs bar. Personally I preffer option "0", or "3". Option "2" is not comfortable when using a laptop with a touch pad. And for me option "2" is just the worst, it makes you close tabs accedentally when trying to focus them... it's realy anoying. PD: Excuse me for my english, I hope you find this useful.
  10. I don't agree with some things you said. Network computing has many advantages, but it's not faster than personal computing at all. It allows you to access your account or "desktop" from any place, share your documents, and cooperate. It also makes cheaper the client computer but, as BitShift said, Internet as we know it doesn't offers the bandwidth needed to bring this to reality. In fact, multi-user machines are common on corporative and university LANs, because this networks offer high bandwidths and this way many users can be loged into the mainframe, working and using the services provided by the server instead of the ones offered by their local computer, so it could be minimized to offer only the required for connecting to the mainframe. PD: Excuse me for my english, I need more practice :S
  11. I think it's quite easier than what you say.You can do thise two things:1. Just select the text you want to copy, click on "Edit" menu and then select "Copy".2. Copy your text and then hit the menu key on your keyboard (between the windows logo and the right ctrl).@saint-michael: the page source code cannot be hidden nor disabled, else your browser could not draw it's content...
