  1. I recken that to do this they drew a series of frames then made it scroll through them one frame at a time. Very clever idea, actually.
  2. I'd hate to be the operator of the switchboard!
  3. I didn't laugh, but it certainly cracked a smile."The principal just passed away?" That has to be my favourite.
  4. I like that game. I downloaded it and managed to almost finish it until I blew up. I plan to win it one day.
  5. They're fantastic! Firefox is great in that it has tabbed browsing and I find the interface easier to use. Thunderbird is excellent in that it has a very easy to understand interface. I could go on for hours...
  6. I usually spend my hours reading fan fiction, trying out new programs, and researching game design.
  7. I use Evrsoft. It may be a little slow and comes up with a nag screen, but it has lots of feature and I find it does the job quite well.
  8. I recently upgraded my computer. Here are the specs. Units of measurement are kept the same for easy comparison.FROMDESKTOP COMPUTER0.133 GHz Intel Celeron CPU300 MB RAM8 MB Video RAMWindows 98 First EditionCD burnerTOLAPTOP/NOTEBOOK COMPUTER1.8 GHz AMD Sempron CPU256 MB RAM, shared with 64 MB video RAMWindows XP HomeDVD burnerSweeeeeet. It runs beautifully.
  9. When you buy a PC it usually comes with Windows pre-installed. While this saves time for the buyer bringing home and using the PC, it doesn't offer much choice. I reckon that computer stores should have a variety of operating systems up on display - Windows, Linux, MacOS - so the user can pick the one they want. It's the same reason why statistics show that 'Microsoft Internet Explorer' is the 'most popular' of web browsers. It isn't necessarily the most popular. It's just that it's what's pre-installed on computers. Myself, I use Firefox. Buyers need to be made aware of their options. If they use Linux instead of Windows, OpenOffice.org instead of Microsoft Office, Mozilla Firefox instead of Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Mozilla Thunderbird instead of Microsoft Outlook, they'll save hundreds of dollars.
