  1. Why would there have to be wind for a flag to move? If theres no atmosphere and therefore no wind or air resistance , wouldnt it keep moving in whatever motion its been put into until gravity eventually stops it?edit: someone else already brought that up i see. I cant believe some of the stuff I'm reading in others posts
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_bomb not really related to that link, but some of the search engines being mentioned are ran by the same people that run other search engines or are a compilation of search engines. Its really weird to be using and loving a search engine for so long and then find out that some other one you happen to not like is owned by the same people as the one you love.
  3. I use firefox from time to time also, but mainly use seamonkey (continuation of mozilla) suite. If I remember correctly, it uses firefox's rendering engine but comes with additional things, like a mail client, html editor, and irc client. I just havnt been able to find a way to increase the size (making it two bars instead of one) of the "personal toolbar" which is really bugging me
  4. I like XP the best. I've never had any trouble with bsods, crashing, locking up or anything with any of the windows from 95 to xp. I think most of the time, the issues come up with people using poorly made software, using out of date drivers or ones not compatible with their os version, or incompatible hardware. And right off the bat XP has better security than 98, simply because it can use NTFS.The one thing I wish xp had was the ability accept more than 10 network connections at once.
  5. Here's what I used while I was learning a new distro recently. twm, not very pretty. as for kde or gnome, I dont really have a preference. Currently I'm using gnome2-lite on an older pentium 2. pzaully
  6. I use yahoo mostly, if I cant find what I want there I goto google. If I havnt found what I need by then I rephrase my search.
  7. I started learning linux because it was different and sooner or later I'd need to learn it for my career field. I started with redhat 7.2. I dont use it as my primary OS, though at some point I might move completely over and run windows in vmware. For the most part, I think windows still has a better IDE than linux.I don't like how some distros have agendas, like ubuntu.
