i wanted you guys to know about an OS that makes u totally invisible online.. its based on freeware, and TOR with Privoxy. it comes with Gaim and Firefox already configured with TOR and Privoxy its a livecd and u can get it from http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Ok first i want to apologize my english is a little weak but i will try my best. Personally i see System Restore as a huge exploit that virus use to hide and restore themselves after deletion... what i do i keep system restore off and i keep a backup of my windows on my slave harddrive. Now about symanted ive always had a grudge for them and will stay loyal to freeware such as AVG and ANTIVIR. Now to remove a virus disable system restore restart your computer and press f8 go into safe mode and scan with ANTIVIRS once it detects it it should be able to remove it. i hope this works for you

ok im sorry but i have to butt in here... 1. there is no such thing as a safe windows solely because new exploits come out every day not counting the underground exploits. 2. windows defender is trash... try ad-aware personal editon and spywareblaster for adaware and spyware 3. dont forgot a firewall... some free good ones are zonealarm free, avast, and outpost 4. you are right on updating windows for the latest patches 5. always have a antivirus with real time scanner such as AVG and ANTIVIR 6. no matter how much u love IE (internet explorer) it needs to go make a smart switch to firefox you can add plugins that block popups, scripts, java, directx, ads, pretty much 100% configurable 7. and if u are a total paranoid and want to be invisible online try a proxie tool such as JAP and TOR if you have any questions send me a message

if u dont want to screw up anything there is a extension that does it for u its called fasterfox it configures ur firefox to speed up you can find it on the firefox website under plugins.

Norton is trash... its expensive, does not detect underground worms, viruses or trojans...but it does block stuff you want to use. I suggest u switch to something free and more reliable like for exaple AVG is a really good antivirus if not use ANTIVIR its totally configurable and offers GREAT!!! protections for its small size that should set u up i hope.
