  1. Of course gmail is the winner. Huge disc space, well less spam of course, simple user interface, and what else. All i can say is i love the e-mail space and the simple GUI
  2. Well imageshack i agree it it slow at certain times of the day most probably due to the high number of users they have. Anyway thanks for recommending pictiger. It is a great site compared to imageshack at least it allows multiple uploads of files and the picture loads faster. What i don like is the 1mb file size limit though. Pictiger does not allow the hotlinking of the actual image (1024x768), it only allows you to hotlink a thumbnail, unlike photoshack which allows you to hotlink the orginal image. Just my 2 cents worth anyone has other comments?
  3. Try using embed src ? i think it should work. I face the problem of having the browser to stream on the browser instead of making the user download it. Try using embed src , it should work. Also some webhost do not allow you to stream mp3 files but sometimes u can work around them by using wma files or rename wma files to .aspx. Does nto work all the time. but no harm trying
  4. The disk deframent used by windows xp seem to be useless to me. Although it defrags fast, all it does is shifting the files to cover the empty spaces in between. There is frequent big gaps after defragmenting. For me i run my com with 2 OS. I prefer defragmenting on windows 98. It takes a longer time, but at least it does a clean job
  5. I have been looking around for free anti-virus software but it seems that i can't find any around. Most of them i found are free online scans. Please recommend me some good free antivirus softwares. I currently have a computer which i seldom use and hence would not like to invest in a paid antivirus software. Just a basic one which is functional would do.
  6. For me i think Norton Products are not very good. I have had the experience of installing Norton Internet Security & Norton Ultilities on the same computer. The result of this was that the software took a 100% CPU load on startup and lags the computer until it can hardly be used. When i contact them they said that it is due to my CPU being unable to support the software.I can say it drains a lot of CPU and lags the com. It is also irritating when it starts blocking software installation. I always end up disabling the anti-virus so that i can smoothly install a file, Norton request scans for almost all cabinet files in the installer. But i would recommend the norton firewall. It is quite good in blocking off ads and also blocking of viruses on web pages.
