  1. N64, Ps1, PS2, gamecube, gameboy pocket, gameboy color, gba. I think that's about it. and of course I played comp games alot. those count too =D
  2. Yuppie food. heh. I like magnetic equilibrium and all, but I bet it costs way more than it needs to. If it costed like 10 bucks I'd buy it though. I'm suprised the magnetism doesn't mess up the screen.
  3. It would also be interesting if in a few billion years the golf ball gathered dust and debris little by little untill it became a moon. That's probably not feasable though.
  4. Jeez... This is going to be hell on Superman and Birdman. It must suck to get your energy from the sun in this situation u.u
  5. Noone replies to these... I have no idea why not. It's not like I'm asking the classic steriotypical question of "mario vs. link" or something like that. jeez people...
  6. hah. funny. One thing I would like to see, is what would happen if they did that thing that a japanese company is doing, and make images out of plasma float in midair but in space to see if it'd work. I mean, if that did work, they could make a plasma image of a bird or something and it'd just float away and stay floating for probably years and years. I think it'd work too because the vacuum of space would probably support that the same the vacuum of a light-bulb would support it. Here is the article: https://www.newscientist.com/article/dn8778-3d-plasma-shapes-created-in-thin-air/ That would be more worth while to me. because people golf all the time. btu this is combining two different innovations. That would be awesome.
  7. Well since noone answered my last topic like this, I figure I'll just make another one with a different question. Who would win in a k.o battle between Ratchet of ratcher and clank and Jack of jak and dexter. I'm talking about the ratchet from the latest game, and the jak from the latest game, and no guns. What do you think?
  8. woo, that sounds really cool. I hope it is, anyway... because the part I liked most about harvest moon was that time was as long as you wanted, and the harvest moon world was innocent and secluded. I feel like if it becomes an mmorpg it'll get tainted and become too real. like it'll just become too complicated or somoething. It seems like a great idea, and I really hope it plays out well, but I guess that's dependent on the type of users that play it. If a bunch of dumb little kids shouting "omfgwtf nooob!!!11shift" start playing it it'll just becoem another runescape. so I'm at a tossup... and I hope it comes out late enough for the newer macs with the intel chips. because right now, mac sucks and I'm stuck on a mac.
  9. That's exactly what I was saying. except of the retrospective part. I'm pretty sure you used that word wrong. It means "during the present, looking back on the past"
  10. I agree, and if it has high risks but absolutely no benifits, then why take the risks? REally stupid, eh? It'd be fine if there where no risks, but there ARE and they are HIGH so NO NO RUSSIA!
  11. doesn't russia really need the money though? I'm not too big on my world economy or history but isn't most of russia kinda like... (excuse my expression) the armpit of the world? isn't it in deep poverty? I may be mistaken but I just thought they where in /need/ of money, not in need of intertainment.
  12. I've been having a debate with a few friends lately about this sort of thing. I can walk on my hands, so I have deduced that standing on my hands, by the theory of relativity, is in fact me carrying the earth. Since there is no up or down in space, and there is no motion in space because relatively everything is in constant motion, then while the mass of the earth is drawing me towards it's center, it is coming towards me as well (both are moving towards eachother according to Einstein). Holding something is defined basically as stopping something from falling by impeding it with another material object. so since there is no "falling" in space, I am technically holding the earth as it holds me, right? Considering the earth and I as two material bodies rather than the earth being my home and planet, instead thinking of it as two marbles in the same ocean.Does anyone agree with this? I can't get some of my friends to understand.
  13. What's the point of this? Sure it's kinda funny, but isn't that just a waste of tax money? I mean, this /is/ being payed for by taxes that could go towards making our schooling system NOT filled with a bunch of self absorbed morons, or perhaps free healthcare like canada, or something else equally useful, but instead they do this simply for one reason "because they can". They already know they can put things into orbit, so what's the point? I think it's still pretty cool though. Logic aside, it's a funny way to waste money rather than a boring one. I'd prefer they launch a few thousand pounds of trash into space far enough away to not get stuck in the orbit of any of our planits, or perhaps send it straight to the sun. Sure, it'd kinda mess up the purity of the universe, but that's assuming that there aren't other beings who do the same thing. any thoughts?
  14. Check out https://www.newscientist.com/section/news Unlike most other scientific news services, this is one of the only ones where every article I've seen on it so far is interesting. I'm already in love with site. I can just feel my brain growing and becoming more arrogant. Go there and expand your mind =D
  15. Bravo on the flowery way of saying "two wrongs don't make a right"
  16. I am wondering, out of the two characters Max from Dark Cloud Two clad with his wrench and homade gun, and Musashi with his katana and magical oar, which one do you think would win in a battle to the KO? Death of opponent disqualifies the killer, by the way, so no "well masashi would cut his head right off" or anything simple like that. Most people probably haven't even heard of the Masashi game because it's not very good, but they are two obscure yet simillar characters, so I plan to ask more battles like this.
  17. simslive.com (if it's still up) has good mods too. I haven't played the sims in a long time so it doesn't interest me anymore but ayla's cool
  18. I can tell you're not a very smart pesrson, concidering you made an entire new topic just to say "the sims 2 is great" instead of posting in the other sims 2 topic...
  19. Animal crossing is one of the worst games I have ever played in my entire life, and i have played ALOT of games. It's like they took harvest moon, got rid of the farming, got rid of the courting brides, the festivals, the animal raising, and everything that makes harvest moon what it is, and left nothing but a topdown character running around able to pick stuff from trees and fish to sell them or eat them, and then they took the sims and got rid of the stats, the fact that objects influence the stats, and the ability to get married and interact, left nothing but decorating and clothes changing, and mashed them together. That is ALL you can do. I thank god that I only rented it and didn't buy it. It seems like something one of the designers just cooked up in spare times to give to his 4 year old kid. It's so aweful I could flood this topic with how bad it is, but I'll stop--- Now!
  20. I think you're mistaken on a few counts. There is no more proof that there is not a god than there is that there is a god. You are atheist, and I am agnostic, so our theories are not too different, but you should consider that in order to know for sure that there is nothing more than what is in front of your eyes, then like you said, you'd need to know the way the universe was created, which you do not. The big bang theory is a basis, not an absolute. It does not stop at what they have so far, but mankind must solve enigmas like their reason for existing one step at a time. The matter could have been in a fourth dimension, for all we know. There could be any number of explanations for it, and we just have not discovered them because we are but humans. so before assuming something is /not/ correct, you should be a little bit more open minded. There is a difference between skepticism and stubbornness. Stubbornness is the reason no one wants to admit their religion could possibly be wrong in the first place. so you may as well believe in a religion if you emit the same mode of mentality. I'm not criticizing, just sharing views
  21. I am an agnostic, and believe that they can coexist. Ever read the book "Inherit The wind"? It speaks of the scopes monkey trial and is based upon it. I think it'd be silly to say "god sent two people down and they populated the entire earth" because there is both not enough time between now and the said time that "adam and eve" where created to constitute an entire species' population, and it's completely unfeasible to begin with. I personally think that Catholicism is nothing more than a cult, and that christianity is nothing more than a fairy-tale. I believe that if there is in fact, a god of any sort, that he created the life force of the tiny organisms that soon became man. We actually have scientific /proof/ that there where cavemen and that there where other primates that resemble man that no longer exist, and can actually /trace/ man's evolution, so I think that holding onto any beliefs of adam and eve are nothing more then denial and the thought that if they adapt their religion to reality that they will be smote or something else equally distasteful. There has never been any proof of any of the supernatural events that occurred in the bible, but there has been proof to debunk them. what does that tell you? I mean it's obvious that people in biblical times where not as wise as we are now for lack of technology and time on earth, but also the fact that most prevailing religions have now been long abandon because their followers have wizened up. We now know that Zeus does not cause the lighting, but positively charged ions do. We also know that it is medically impossible for a virgin to give birth, no matter how hard she tries, but no one wants to think their religion is silly because it's all they have to hold onto. It's supposed to be for a since of comfort, but many take it to far (no difference between extremists like Bin Laden and the Spanish Inquisition). Of course I am no more all-kknowing than any priest that claims to be. so I accept that I could be mistaken, and that all this none sense about two people somehow populating the entire world in 4,000 years without managing to have an entire brood of deformed babies, and somehow managing to get their babies to the other continents long after Pangea and long before the invention of boats, and somehow being able to live long enough to teach these babies anything when the average life expectancy of somone in ancient greece was 30 years, and somehow managing to survive nakid in weather climates far worse than those of today among beasts far more savage and plentiful than those fo today, without the adaptations that they would need to survive in that climate (like, oh, let's say, muscular physiques of apes, bodies covered in fur like apes, aposable toes like apes, and the bodies and minds of apes *hint hint*), could in fact be somehow true. I highly doubt it, but I'm not unreasonable.SCIENCE AND PROOF > FAITH AND IGNORANCE
  22. I really suggest you play it. It's alot different than number one and doesn't even get repetetive because there's so much adventure to it. the problem with number one was that there was so little human interaction with it. The world in darkcloud 2 is so lifelike you'll probably fall in love with it.
  23. a piece of advice, it's not to introduce yourself as being a "noob". Unless of course you want to be called that forever. because I intend to call you that forever ^_-
  24. Has anyone played either of the two darkcloud games? Personally, I prefer the invention interface and the story of the second one to that of the first. however, some people I know prefer the slowness and structure to the first. Which do you prefer? If you don't even know what darkcloud is there's no point posting to ask though because that means you must not have an opinion on it to begin with.
  25. I think this is obvious. Operating a piece of heavy machinery DOES take concentration, especially if you are zooming down the street at 60mph in it. Anyone who does this really should expect the consiquences. I'm not wishing death upon people, I'm just saying that if they do die due to their own stupidity, then it's noone's fault but their own. Not only this, but it's dangerous for the rest of the drivers on the street too. Can't a silly little phone conversation wait just a few minutes? I mean jeez, if it's that urgent, then you need to get to wherever you're going to fast and need the concentration for that more than anything. It's not quite as stupid as a TV in a car, but it IS as stupid as russian roulette.
