Extension Cable Fixes My Broken USB2 But Why ? this is insane
tmp1405241508 replied to qwijibow's topic in Hardware Workshop

In Paris, France, the two most competitive ISP's offer 20 Mb/s down and 1 Mb/s up. Monthly rate is between 15 euros (Neuf Telecom) and 30 euros (Free Telecom). However, there is more to consider than the monthly rate, for instance most ISP's in Paris require their customers to use a premium number to access their customer service. Next thing you know, the service is down and customers pay to report it. Hope this helps

There is CodeWarrior and there is OnBoard C which is a open source project. CodeWarrior is not so easy to use, I never tried OnBoard C, I would be interested if someone could report on it. Good luck, John

Favorite Mac Os X Apps
tmp1405241508 replied to Brian1405241474's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Brian, My favorite MacOS X application is Fink (freeware available at http://www.finkproject.org/). It brings the world of Linux into the Mac. Actually, Fink is the very reason why I switched from PC Linux to Mac: I can do my accounting with gnucash, edit my files with emacs, compile C programs with gcc, use latex for word processing, gnuplot for graphs, etc. Best regards, John -
Gmail: Simply The Best Comparations make it clear

The main difference between a spam filtering feature and a spam blocking feature is that, in the latter, the e-mail is rejected and the sender gets notified of this. The advantage of spam blocking is that you don't have to inspect your spam box because there is no spam box. Therefore, there is no legit e-mail that may have been wrongly flagged as spam, that the sender believes you have received. If the e-mail is flagged as spammed, the mail bounced and the sender knows... Spam blocking and spam filtering can be used together: a high-level spam tolerance can be set for spam blocking and a lower-level spam tolerance can be set to spam filtering. Hope this helps. John. -
CDMA vs GSM Which will rule the world
tmp1405241508 replied to solankyno1's topic in Science and Technology
Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) is likely to be the next standard so GSM and CDMA, TDMA and the others will probably be in our history books sooner than expected. -

The only missing feature in my opinion is IMAP support.IMAP is superior to POP because it allows synchronization between the client and the server. One can move email to folders or subfolders at home and this will be "seen" by the computer at work. -
It should also be pointed out that "Calorie" on nutrition fact labels often stand for kilo-calorie (1000 times more) with respect to the above definition. For instance a yogurt which is labeled 100 Calories should actually be labeled 100 kcal with the above definition.
