  1. something i do but that wouldnt be available for everyone due to bandwith issues, i basically run all my music from a server ive made at my house, and it not only hosts files for download but also my shoutcast radio server. How this is done does take some setting up, you need to set up an account with no-ip.com (free) and download a program that runs on your pc and updates with no-ip server your ip address information and allows you to put your dynamic ip along with a static web address and allows you to link to certain areas of your pc.. also you can use this to conrol you server remotely using other software with the same concept... ie, spinefan03.servebeer.com goes to '068.myip.076:8000" and accesses my radio (yes it works, great 90's alternative music)
  2. ive never tried it on a ps2, and to be honest, i wouldnt want to ... the ps2 was not designed to run anything else, its too small to fit add' equipment and too small for descent cooling (i know because ive fried two already from leaving them running all the time) But on the other hand, the xbox works great. The parts are all PC with makes it great for adding components, and its really easy to mod,,, $150 box and a $30 mod chip and youve now got a server for $180 that will not only run linux but also play games with amazing graphics,,, can it get even better (yes, you can get two)
  3. I have an account with yahoo wich include 2gig space and many other additional features, wich I use every day, Its not really free but free for me (why would i pay for email) if something happened and my yahoo was no longer free, I would probably end up having to pay for it. Until Gmail came along, now I have the option of keeping and never having to pay. Ok, I can also safely say I dont have the same thing, I have more, I have stuff Ive been telling Yahoo that I wanted (maybe google was listening to my emails to Yahoo?) """the man is watching us"""
  4. Def dreamweaver, It does about anything you can think of doing and has the ability to import about any thing including flash, something more programs need., although it is a large program, (and somewhat expensive for ones and zeroes) it takes the cake. I still need notepad though, for things that im too dumb to figure out how to do in Dreamweaver, but thats my own problem (and something I dont understand are people who use a notepad type editor exclusively, i would much rather spend 10 seconds moving a table because i just changed my mind instead of 10 minuites re-organizing the code) but thats just me
  5. Cell phones run off two types of networks CDMA (cingular) and PCS (sprint)CDMA or Code Division Multiple Access is basically the same as you explained, but after digitizing the signal, it spreads the signal over the entire frequency range in small chunks that are encoded and set up at different times. Each signal chunk also has a timestamp and therefore also implements the GPS system. Therefore many people can be using the same bandwidth at the same time.. CDMA runs at 800Mhz and 1900Mhz frequency bands.PCS or Personal Communications Services is almost like cellular but in a completly digital form, but an included feature is that paging, caller id, internet service, and other digital services are bundled in the same signal. PCS phones use a smaller area of coverage per cell tower and run between 1.85 and 1.99 GHz (1850 MHz to 1990 MHz)In my own oppinion, CDMA blows PCS away and that is why I have a Cingular cell service (Even though I just happen to be a phone tech for Sprint, the leading PCS provider)
  6. Imesh is definately the best, it includes not only the imesh network, but also overnet and kazaa..so you get everthing in one - also if you dont like all the spyware and adware, theres a lite version (same as the original, just not by the same company and without the junk) there web site is now http://www.im-l.com/
  7. Definately GMAIL.. even though i have a 2gb yahoo acct, i have still move all my stuff over to my Gmail account.. its faster and has far many features... Oh, and i have a lot of accounts to give out, so if anyone wants one its Spinefan03@gmail.com.... ive still got like 40 left
