  1. Microsoft plans to show the public its Xbox 2 on MTV on the 12th of march, 4 days before the PS3.Originally both were planned for the 16th but it seems mircrosoft wants to get in there first.Microsoft VP Peter Moore dimissed E3 as a trade only event telling us that he wants the whole public to know! The half an hour special will be hosted by the great Frodo (Elijah Wood) but expect alot of sports / movie / music celebraties to pop up to boast some of the machines capabilities.Microsoft are expected to announce an autumn 2005 shipping date to get ahead of the christmas rush.Sony and Nintendo are still expected to ship in 2006.I personnaly hope for the Xbox 2 to come out sooner rather than later, as my xbox is old (day of release haha) and I could do with a shiney new one :rolleyes:Im also going to pray that as im British and this will obviously be an american event it will be slapped on the internet so I too can view this event and drool!Unfortunatly no official word on Halo 2.5 either, no doubt we will find out on the 12th!
  2. Ive used Kazza but I dont like it, I use WinMX and Limeware now...also does mIRC count as P2P? - in my opinion its the best place for full albums etc although you are at risk a little, or so im told.
  3. This is a question out of pure curiosity.I was talking to a friend about linux, and I said I was considering putting it on my laptop, just to see what it was like (alas im not good enough to use linux properly, as much as I wish I was a super programmer :'( )And his immediate reaction was no no no!!He told me that if you mess with linux kernals (i have a vague idea what they are but dont ask me anything haha) that it will screw over the laptops bios chip (I know what that is ) and your lappy will be damned for all eternity....Could anyone confirm / explain this to me?And maybe explain kernals? So I know hehe, im a curious chap I also have some questions about programming but ill leave them for later
  4. Can anyone tell me if what I hear about Ipods is true? For example you cant replace the batteries so if your ipod battery dies you need a new one?I personally have a Creative Zen, its super old, and its dead as hell but I love it and despise Ipods with a passion!Ipods are far too flashy for me, I like having an MP3 player that looks like a brick hahaAlthough I was thinking about getting a Zen Touch or something like that, anyone got one? Or could recommend a good creative mp3 player? One which didnt cost the world either as im only a poor poor student hehe
  5. Anyone have a clue how much one of those beasts sets you back? Sheesh gotta be a fair sum *thanks the genius behind 64 bit* TB of ram wont be too unfamiliar with more bit around hehe *dances*Lets just hope they can fit this technology in a laptop before I die
  6. James' Myspace Thats myself If you add me send me a message saying your from here I hardly every accept friends requests anymore haha, annoying 'adders' all over the place
  7. Well with 64 bit just coming out you can expect that games will start using it in a few years (when it becomes mainstream not just top of the line) with 64 bit you can have alot more ram (only 4Gb with 32) but 100'sx more with 64 bit faster graphics cards and engines will be open to use and so every aspect of gaming will take a leap forward... I expect that in more years to come top of the line broadband may become common (as 2Mb is only ÂŁ50 a month now) which would allow for mass multiplayer... MMO's are becoming more popular... maybe some proper MMOFPS's?... planetside was the 1st but due to limits... headshots etc cant be done and its not that advanced... so maybe we will end up not with mere skirmishes online.. but full scale wars in an FPS etc etc.... its all possible... Also complete manipulation of the game world, ie blow holes in anything... scratch your name there... blah blah blah
