Hello there! I'm learning php and MySQL these days... My goals is to make the script: 1) refuse not valid email adresses; 2) refuse not full names (there should be at least two words in full name field, containing only letters).

So it means that MySQL can't manage the data itself? All the data handling and controls must be done with a script? If so, then the bast way to do the job would be php scripts I think... Am I right?

Funny story m^e Some time ago I was sitting by that "evil box" even more... Becouse I was living in an flat only with my sister. So nobody could shout at me when I was spending sleepless nights playing games. Even worse - some day I connected to internet and LAN. I played more than 10 hours per day... Everything my computer could run (it wasn't as fast as I wanted). Sometimes I even forgotten to eat I dunno why, but computer dissipates hunger, drowse and many other emotions... You said it right - sometimes I looked like a cyber-maniac Now it's 1.5 year I've got better computer. I can play almost every game. But I don't. Now I try to do some work insted. It's more usefull I think. And one more thing - I dont have so much time anymore. Anyway - it's the most important thing in my house...

For example: there are some kind of information. Each information line has some credits. How do I make the amount of credits increase everyday at 9am by 20%?

Hello there. My family members keeps annoyingt me becouse of sitting by computer so much.They don't care, what am I doing: programming, reading news, posting in forums or reading emails - they allways think that I'm just having fun, and it's no use from computer LoL :(So I decided to ask, how much time a day do all of YOU spend sitting by computer? Just trying to find out: 6-8 hours per day is normal, or I can call myself computer maniac already...

I don't smoke, I don't use drugs, I don't do casual sex, I drink only in parties (very little). I eat everything, including meat. So I can be called half-straightedged I think. Using drugs & smoking are not good ideas at all. It's only slow killing of yourself. BUT, most activity is not healthy: breathing air is not healthy, becouse the air is pulluted; doing sports is not healthy, when the load is to big. Sitting at home and watching TV is not healthy too, becouse you are not doing sports then! Finding correct balance is really hard... Eating food is not healthy too, becouse each type of food has it's plusses an minusses... To little fat is not healthy, to much fat is dangerous too. So all our life is just poisoning of our bodies. That's why I understand those, who lives "with full features", like drugs, drinkind, casual sex etc. I chosen another, "more healthier living way", but I don't think that I'll live longer than others... Sometimes I feel different than others. For example: if my friends gone to smoke, I staed at home. I also prefered staying at home, when others were going to drink. Just to drink... But these times I'm joinig the company, going to parties, having fun, dancing... Everyone knows my habits now, and I'm respected for having my own lifestyle. I'm respected for being different ant same at the same moment. And I like it I know, that maybe I'm loosing many nice moments of my youth, but you can't have everything you want anyway, right? Drugs, smoking is only interesting for first few times, then it may become addictive, and even a must.

Basketball for me It's interesting team game, full of team tactics, skill and also some nerves...I don't watch every math on TV, I prefer playing basketball myself.I play in the center possition, but I think that I'm better at attacking. But I my threepointer accuracy is poor at the moment, so I'm trainig theese days hard

It's great game. But I'm already bored with it! I want more parts, more cars, more speed and more competition.But I think next Need for Speed game should be more realistic. I want crash system (something like in NSP Porsche Unleashed 2000). And all these jumps are stupid - try to make one in reality, and you woun't have a car anymore.. :PNFSU & NFSU2 - just arcade, I want simulator... What about you? -

Gmail is definitely the best email provider. But I use mail.com more frequently, becouse I signed with it earlier and I don't want to publish my Gmail adress in the net (who likes scam? ).So for my personal purposes I use Gmail, for other purposes I use mail.com.

I would better reinstall my Windows... It would be much faster and more usefull Becouse I feel that my C: disk is running out of space (I don't know where it has gone... 10Gb. Only Windows and other software, no films, no games). That's why I sometimes get angry on Microsoft. It's software is wasting space on HDDs (temp files, recovery files, installiation files... LOL )

Bible, like Koran and other religious books and scrolls is writen by humans. All the religions is created by humans. In ancient times religion was "invented" for these purposes:1) Make people believe in God (or gods) - this is one of the best way to unite them.2) Make people not afraid of death (for better results in wars and battles - to keep warriors morale up)3) Make people donate goods and sacrifice various animals for God (truly - for priests, that's why they always were in good social status).Don't you see, that humans do everything they want to do: allows gay marriage; islam propagate Christians killing. And all of this is in God's name. So if we believe in Bible, there a still somewhere Moses, who get new orders from God (like gay marriage allowance) and get them down to us.So let's forget this nice tale about Adam & Eve (and about Spiderman, Batman, Superman... ) and start thinking clearly. -

I think that there are some more living beings in space, not only humans (and all the animals in the Earth). Why do I think so? Becouse there are billions of Solar systems, like ours, and each of that system has own planets, own satellites, own asteroids....So there might be lots of planets like Earth (with same climate), suitable for living. So existence of other civilizations is possible. Maybe they, who are called aliens, call us alliens and keep guessing like us: are they alone in space or not?We can only guess... Are there other civilizations, or are not... If there are, then how much?... hundreds? thousands? millions? even more?Maybe we look stupid for allliens like ants look stupid for us. Our science level looks hight. Or maybe it look hight for us only... Other civilizations could be reached much higher level... Why not? We think that we are smart. But there must be something smarter then us!So how do how think, when will the Star Wars become reality? -

Yes, you can put Pentium 4 in your motherboard, but only SOCKET 478 model. The fastest Pentium 4 for S478 is Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.46GHz. But it's a waste of money, so you should be interested in Pentium 4 with Hyper-Threading Technology. It has 512Kb or 1Mb cache and 2.40 to 3.40 core speed. Post you motherboard model and manufacturer, so I can tell you more. -

I think that Fedora will run faster on your Celeron, becouse it supports additional instructions set: SSE (Streaming SIMD Extension), which makes more operations available. -
Why do you ask? I know that you're on my side.I'm not such an active animal liberator. That means I'm not going to sacrifice my whole life to liberate animals. I'm simple human. But I love animals and do what I can if there is a chance to help...

Yeah I know I could do many things, I could earth my cable, I could connect wireless. But it was a "low budget" LAN (costed about 30$ dollars, wireless cost much more) . And it was connected same day as was planned. The only purpose was gaming. And nothing other was intresting at that time. Now I've got my lesson . It woun't happen again (I'm promising myself like to my mom ten years ago...).Thanks for comments people!

Choose Celeron. Celeron 633MHz is faster than Pentium II 450MHz. Also Celeron uses newer Socket 370 slot (your Pentium uses older Slot 1). Additional 128Mb of RAM will not make Pentium faster Your Celeron's core is Coppermine, what means that it's Pentium III with smaller cache and some functions disabled (FCPGA-370). Celerons are very reliable at overclocking. Your model could be overclocked up to 950Mhz. But this depends on your motherboard and CPU cooler. My old 400Mhz Celeron is running on 450Mhz for about a year already... It can be overclocked to 500Mhz, but at this speed it often fail. I think it's becouse of my motherboard. P.S. overclocked Celeron has one of the best price/performance ratio in the market. Choose Celeron. -
I used Photoshop CS. 1) resized image to 56x56 Image => Image size... 2) opened needed size (80x56) blank image File => New... 3) pasted current image. Now image has empty space at the top and bottom 4) used Clone stamp tool. This is the best tool for extending textures. Usage: while holding ALT, click on the place where you want to copy from. Release ALT button. Then click on the place you want texture to be copied and look what happens . It's easy and simple
