    Bittorrent!

Bittorrent is the greatest!!! I use it everytime to download movies and music. The annoying thing about it though is many a times there's this popup thingy that says you can't connect to something forgot what it is. Overall it's great though...
  2. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.by Eleanor RooseveltJust because a man lacks the use of his eyes doesn't mean he lacks vision.by Stevie Wonder
  3. I refer to those people who have at least received the sacrament of baptism and maybe the sacrament of confirmation, etc. at some time in their lives as non practicing Christians. It's important to differentiate this point because can a person who hasn't been baptized called him/herself a christian? However, I do agree with you that one must incorporate their beliefs into their lives, therefore, living by what they believe.
  4. I am currently in China and I am getting 512kbps. I am paying 80rmb per month for the connection. This is approximately 10usd per month. Any disadvantage? Yup, I cannot get any access to certain sites. These sites have been censored...
  5. What and why I believe...Well, I am not sure which category I fit into. Here's my background. My father atheist and my mom ?partial? buddhist.I grew up attending catholic schools. I believe there's a God, a power above us. However, I don't qualify to be what you call a christian cause I didn't receive any of the sacraments unlike people who are non practicing christians. I think one of the most important elements in what you believe and why you believe it is how it will affect one's life. I believe no matter what religion one is, it's suppose to help you live a better life and how you relate with other people. So what I end up doing is that I believe in bits and pieces of all the different religions!
  6. Meaning of life? Why do we always have to put a meaning to life? Unless this meaning makes our lives more fulfilled and better after we've "answered" it, then I don't see too much significance in going out of your way to search for it. Well, as said before, perception will determine what is our own meaning of life. So this is my opinion. We are born into this world not because we choose to. Since we've come thus far into life why not just put more of our energy into making it better and brighter and same for those around us
  7. What I am saying is that if it proves to be true, it would be a great historical proof that maybe there's the Jesus figure in history. I mean it's not about the money. Even if the image may not be that of Jesus, it would still be a great piece of relic nevertheless. Besides, these things don't just happen. Things never just happen for no good reason. Maybe we just don't know why even if we tried to understand. You simply cannot compare the shroud and the toast.
  8. Have you heard about the news on the The Shroud of Turin lately? It might not be a fake afterall. The shroud bears the image of a man similar to the way negatives bear images. Many people believe that the face belongs to Christ and that the shroud was buried with him. But I do have a question: why the Catholic Church does not claim the Shroud?
  9. Where do I start?Born in TaiwanGrew up in BelizeStudying in ChinaSending a shout out to all the Taiwanese and Belizean peeps in the community!!By the way, if you're interested in learning a bit more of Belize feel free to ask the questions!
  10. Thanks for clarifying that humans were not evolved from apes. Sorry for my misconception and if I may have offended anyone by saying something like that. I mean I've read of the similarties between bone structure like what Silent Soul X mentioned before. However, I still find it a bit hard to believe, not that I don't believe it but just not completely. The whole idea of evolution and it's evidence are logical but it would be very nice to find that some new and totally new species of animal is discovered. Maybe I sound crazy, but that's just the mind doing it's brainstorming...
  11. With technology and science being so advanced these days. I would really want to know if there's really some HARD evidence of we, the humans, are as a result of evolution from the apes...
  12. 6. Meals on TimeIt's logical that it's good to eat at the same time everyday: breakfast in the morning, lunch in the noon, and dinner at night. Breakfast as my parents always used to say is the most important meal of the day. It's good to develop the habit of having breakfast in the morning, especially if you are a student.7. Rest well After a good night's sleep you find that you are more alert and focused. The increases you productivity throughout the day. I can remember after about a week of sleepless nights, I started to read words on the page in a book that weren't there, and it took me more time to comprehend what I was reading.8. Anger and temperament controlThese two can really do some damage. For me personally, I deal with them quite easily. However, the times when I cannot really control them, in the end my stomach. Maybe it's another area for you, but you get what I mean...
  13. From my own perspectives here are little ways you can do to make big differences in your health! 1. Eat more greens, vegetable, and fruits As a Taiwanese person, our habit of eating a lot of green leafy vegetables and fruits after meals prove to be beneficial to our health. It's got lots of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. You've heard about all the benefits of eating more veggies and fruits, so I will not say more here... 2. Take the steps In many of our busy schedule we simply cannot find any time for regular exercise sometimes. I used to be very active, always playing some type of sports. After I started med school, I simply had no time to exercise or maybe sometimes just too lazy when I do have time. I moved off campus and live on the sixth floor for a purpose. Everyday, I climb the steps at least four times. However, if you can exercise regularly, it would be even better! 3. Stop smoking Any way you put it, smoking is not good for the health and also the health of those around you. You are simply killing yourself slowly. It doesn't matter if you've been smoking for ten years already, stop the bad habit now and you shall benefit! Smoking contributes to cardiovascular problems, cancer, lung diseases, etc and the list goes on. 4. Moderate alcohol consumption It's reported many times by the news that researches found moderate drinking have benefits to reducing some cardiovascular diseases. It is well known the relationship between alcohol and liver cirrhosis with alcohol abuse. I personally don't drink anymore, but that's my preference. 5. Don't be greedy Think twice about taking another piece of the cheesecake when you've finished one already. You see, our bodies will store up all the energy that we do not use as fats in the body. When you start eating all that extra food, where do you think all that energy will be stored? Yep, think about it. One pound or two pounds may not hurt you now. Until when they all add up later on... There will be more so check back!!!
