Robotech: Battlecry rocked my world. I had been waiting years for this game because I'm a huge fan of the Robotech Saga. Having the opportunity to fly into combat with CDR Fokker and Rick Hunter, save Minmei, and wreak havoc on the zentradi was a dream come true. But, to make things even better this is actually a very well designed game with awesome cellshaded graphics instead of just some crappy game that often show up when they are designed from shows. I mean, I flew Skull One and slaughtered hundreds of Zentradi in it. What more can you ask for? Now, I have a slightly different opinion of Robotech Invasion. My main beef is that you don't get to fly the alphas or betas. While getting to use the cyclone armor is great, I really wanna fly those new fighters.

My vote is for XBOX...I have both though. The only reason I got a PS2 is for Final Fantasy games since M$ can't get square to make games for them. But, I like the XBOX for the ease of modification and most of those "exclusive" games for PS2 like GTA do get released for XBOX...although it could take a year, but then you get some extras that PS2 peeps don't. PS2 can be modded too, but its more difficult. However, for online play, the PS2 is the way to go. No fees to pay to Sony to get online unlike XBOX live. But since I've modded my XBOX, I can go online by other means for no cost.

Need For Speed Underground 2 is my vote for the best.I used to play GT series (who hasn't), but NFSU blew me away and NFSU 2 is a great improvement. The main reason I think NFSU is better is due to the gameplay variety. in GT, you're limited to basically the same thing over and over with more laps and maybe some tire damage along the way. NFSU2 challenges you with different race types and a whole bunch of tracks that are different for nearly every race. And, you still have a large variety (ya i know, not as many as GT) of cars to chose from with more custom options and plenty of performance ugrades and tuning.

I must admit, I was completely duped by the disney theme and thought this was going to be a fairly easy game. Really, I don't even like disney and I only got it because I heard it was made by Squaresoft and must be quality based on their Final Fantasy Series....that and it has FF characters throughout. I was thoroughly surprised when Squall showed up and brought the smackdown on me, not just because he was in the game, but he really layed it on me. It took some serious effort to get through that. I find every boss to be the same. They just refuse to go down easy,, especially if they are a FF character....I don't think I need to mention what happened when Cloud appeared... However, I didn't have any problems figuring out what to do. The main world doesn't have a lot of direction but that's because it's non linear game. Your objectives are out on those other worlds, and I find that out there I get plenty of direction. Wandering is just part of the nonlinear RPG genre.

I'm in the US Army and I also hate how ignorant our citizens can allow themselves to become. I am about to deploy to Iraq and none of my fellow soldiers have the intent to abuse innocent people...or even the enemy for that matter. A couple stories about a few people in a population of hundreds of thousands of servicemen and servicewomen causes you to think that our military is mindless and abusive? I can't remember a single good news story about a school that was rebuilt, or how a community is recovering due to the jobs we've created for those people. Good news doesn't sell like a story about soldiers dying or abusing poor, defenseless Iraqis. Take a bit of time to find out what reality is before dismissing us. We deserve better. Anyway, I have played AA for over a year now and it is by far my favorite FPS...and was the only FPS I would play for most of that year. First, it's free. How can you ignore a free game? Second, even though it's free, it's a high quality game on par with a commercial game that you would pay $20-50 for. I believe it was chosen as one of the best games of 2003 by EGM, which says a lot right there... Third, it does a good job of demonstrating the way we do things in the Army. I think it's great that you have to complete training to "develop" soldier skills and earn qualifications to be eligible for more advanced training and certain missions. And, the training isn't just a gimme. That's exactly the way it really is. But, the training isn't so difficult (ok, maybe you might have to redo it a couple or a few times, but it can be done with a little patience) that you can't complete all of it so that everyone does get to experience the whole game. Fourth, the missions and size of teams encourages teamwork. Maybe I'm the minority, but I just don't like the absolute randomness of BF1942 and the like where you just show up in a battle in progress that goes on forever while you continually die and respawn. That bores me quickly. However, accomplishing real objectives against a live, creative and intelligent enemy while trying to keep yourself and your teammates alive is an interesting challenge that keeps me entertained. Get in a clan and go up against other clans and this game is hard to beat.
