  1. you mean those remote hosted one? the best free, no ad forum board I know is http://www.forumer.com/ unfortunately they are not accepting registration at this moment..they offer very customizable invision boards with 3 installed skins. others I know contains ads, but ads displayed on it are not that annoying like.... http://www.zifboards.com/ https://www.proboards.com/ or make good posts here....request hosting, and you have your very own preinstalled phpbb board under your account...
  2. or you could use softwares like http://www.ghostsurf-pro.com/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ more convenient than using slow public proxies
  3. yes mac is more beautiful, more secure etc... but id rather use windows and chew up those exploits in exchange to millions of softwares I could use/install/download in it..
  4. how about cleaning those registries? this would help too to make your system more efficient and faster. too bad...merijin ended his support for this program...
  5. nyah...im just a noob..pros will laugh at my work just provide me images or description maybe and ill ill try working one for you.
  6. @xbico - if you cant see the image blame it on the downtime of http://www.imageshack.us/ @ eric - you have your name in it so you could do whatever you want with it.
  7. Both of them has their own advantage. Photoshop has its advantage on image creation and manipulation. With regards to web designing Fireworks has the advantage. It has built in FTP, graphic-web integration, advanced slicing and scripting, and integration to other macromedia products such as Flash MX and Dreamweaver. Although Fireworks has that image editing and creation capability its still way beyond of what Photoshop could do. My advice is to have them both if you have plenty of hard disk space and memory.
  8. Trojans have been present for so many years now... ....(RAT's) if someone dropped a Remote Access Trojan to your system then, he could control you remotely, steal your password, credit card etc..depending on the capability of the trojan he dropped. (using the internet of course)..this is where a good firewall and an anti trojan comes to the rescue. With regards to the shutting down problem..aside from those mentioned above it is possible too that you ran out of memory (RAM) thus resulting to program error. If you have observed your box automatically shuts down upon executing memory hog programs like Norton, Photoshop, those Macromedia softwares, PSP, 3d softwares etc...then probably its just "memory shortage-program error". Now if this happens even without those memory hog programs running..maybe.. "malicious programs and scripts", "corrupted OS installation".
  9. http://www.psplinks.com/ --- scroll down and youll find hundreds of PSP tutorial links. yet some links in there dont offer psp tutorials anymore... if you want save time and find a specific categorized tutorials pixel2life.com is the best site to visit. ---> http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ my favourite tutorial site is Pinoy 7---> interfacedesign.shtml ,you could download tutorials in .pdf file if you dont want to spend time reading those online. the forum section is helpful too for beginners..
  10. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ * http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ * http://www.flamingpear.com/freebies.html note- *email required to to download. Eye Candy 4000 is the best one around.. (for me) (its not for free though) http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ ...23 very usefull filters..
  11. not really..a single page with a link to your iframe is enough..just be sure to set robots the right way..... <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="index, follow">
  12. http://www.javascriptkit.com/ http://www.javafile.com/ http://ww12.24fun.com/ http://a1javascripts.com/ there are javascript freewares too which you could use if dont want to spend so much time finding scripts online.... http://www.davidpye.com/freeware/
  13. I like Land Down Under...its cool and lots of nice skins to choose from.
  14. im much into games so my vote goes to set of Zaraths Mods http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ although I havent tried them all (because most of them are obviously a little bit expensive ) but they are very well coded and runs smooth on my board. I like Cash Mod very much. Zarath's shop mod + Cash mod is way too cool..you could set users to buy avatars, signature, rank priviliges, username change, text glows etc... based on the points they gained. Didnt encounter problems installing this two (on phpbb 2.10). Cash mod have been validated by PhpBB.com--> https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=94055 so if you think theres something wrong with it you have the right to complain. Rabbitoshi is a good mod too... http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/2378 but it has lots of bugs in it and its developer has stooped supporting it. well Phpbb has so many mods out there. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://www.phpbbhacks.com/
  15. yes my sig maybe bland but im 100% sure its my original idea and not just a product of any tutorial or resource site...
  16. ey kabayan almoo17...try reading this posts from phpbb https://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?article_id=9 https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=211646&highlight= now if you have many mods installed on your phpbb board..heres a great admin utility mod. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=218865 and if you have phpMyAdmin, just read the help files there..its very useful since you would personally learn how to export and backup databases (believe me, im a noob too )
  17. i see...ok heres a simpliest way to safely erasing or turning off your colors (by using different layers...we will start with this image.. refer to image below: on your layer pallete press 1 to add a new transparent layer make sure that the current editable layer is your new layer. (just click on it) now use the brush tool to add color on certain areas you want. lets say you will use red color.. same procedure to rest areas you want to color (new layer>color) if you want to turn a color off just press 2 (refer to image #2)..if you want to change it..simply delete it and create another transparent layer then color.
  18. the reason behind this is Google recognizes linked url's only (e.g. <a href="http://www.com/;, etc..) when crawling a certain page...so <iframe src="xzx.htm"> wont work...Google doesnt crawl Frames too (without those direct links). If you want a certain page to be crawled by Google..you should add a valid link directing to your iframes... you could put simple links like.. <a href="http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ here to view this in full window</a> lastly set your META's the right way. Avoid spamming keywords and follow standard word lengths..and you will be ranking good in Google.
  19. another vote fo DREAMWEAVER- what more could you ask for? CSS, Cross Browser Validation, built in FTP, graphic integration and a lot more. Dreamweaver advices you if a certain syntax will work or not on certain browsers.
  20. try <width="100%">.. actually this works on images smaller on width..when you set a certain width to 100% (sample: 800width.jpg image set to <img src=800width.jpg width="100%"> it stretches on a 1024x768 screen. So images could be streched with the <width="100%"> attributes...Problem now is it couldnt be shrinked...sample a fixed 1024width image couldnt be shrinked into 800 by just adding the <width=100%> attribute. on tables, contexts no problems. the problem occurs mostly on fixed size images. :)although there are image tricks out there like blending your image to the background and setting a certain sliced portion to shrink and stretch. (streched images dont look good)
  21. @FAFNiR..thanks! yes I admit...im one of those "scanlines"+grunge brushes fanatic with regards tweening..ill give it a try..I dont usually use it. I prefer tweaking those frames piece by piece. With regards to text...it looks fine here.. I dont know, maybe it looks a little bit different on different screens and graphic cards.
  22. im not sure..I havent actually used a full version of CS so I cant tell the difference. why not pour those colors out as a separate layer so you could easily turn that color off? You could also use channels and masking options.
  23. I did tried Audiograbber before (it was still a commercial software)..It was good but I was annoyed by its nags so I find an alternative to it which is CDEX > http://cdex.mu/ . Its good (although with minor tolerable bugs in it)...and I have no plans replacing it back with Audiograbber (even though its a freeware now).
  24. with regards to keyboard...CS has a new customizable keyboard shortcuts..so if you have been tweaking it, chances are you have set shortcuts which you could not remember. And maybe out of memory (RAM) too...? what new in cs 1. increased price 2. increased memory consumption 3. new features----> http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/features.html I downloaded the trial version of CS before (took me ages to download that). I personally like the new Text on Path feature. Its much easier to place proportioned texts on curves and those hard edged areas. Still I love PS7 very much...It runs well on my system unlike CS which crashes too often.
