You can always go on EBAY and look for a cheap copy of Photoshop. I have seen CS and 7.0 versions for 40-50 bucks.

Troop those are to bland. But there not bad. Try spicing it up with, brushign and smudging. Make a texture, give it composition and flow. I will gladly give you a great tutorial for brushing.

I use IE.I got tired of FireFox. I mean it was good, but when it came to sites having to with some simple flash, the browser will mess or just freeze. , I actually had to reformat at one point. So i'm using IE, I have noticed I get more spyware when I use Ad-Aware, but I have no problems when I surf.

I find air-brushing and smudging/making my own brushes instead of searching for hours for a set a brushes is much better, and also it's very easy technique. If anyone is interested to see some of my tags, just ask.

Google is my wife, it has huge database of images that I can find in seconds. Also, I would like to add. When it's all said & done. What I find most that really attracts web-surfers, is the user-friendlyness of the web-page itself. Though all these flash banners and weird navigations look cool, there is no reason I should spend 2 hours looking for a link to a forum or whatever other purpose i'm there for.

It's a fact that you can use this in photoshop. The only real purpose ImageReady holds, is for animations.

I never heard of this jpeg2000. Actually saving as png will keep the quality of your image the best after you save. This is implying if you use paint. I use Adobe photoshop, which gives me the option of choosing my quality for my jpeg. And when put on max quality, it kicks to much png *bottom*.

I have not been told that .PNG can be animated. What I have known though, when work with a transperancy pieces naturally you save as .gif so you preserve the transperancy. What .PNG does, as far as my knowledge goes, is preserve the quality of image close to an .jpeg but act as an .gif. Meaning keeping the same/close to the same size of a .gif. Also, I find the patent thing stupid, they can't possibly stop everyone from using .gif, I don't see the possibility. Especially the massive library of sprites around the net.
