1. Ok there is a big topic going around about web browsers. The facts are web browsers are made to browse the web and bring back anything you tell it to no matter whats inside.  This is why so many people get viruses.  The important thing to do is learn how to use your browsers internet settings. If you learn the settings for your browser they apply to all. However there are safer web browsers the best are (Firefox) which is also faster than Internet Explorer.  Then there is (Opera), this is the fastest and safest browser on the web. However some sites and things you do on the web are not compatible with Opera so you would then use Internet Explorer to go to those places. In the mean time you surf everywhere else with Opera. Why is it safer, because the company strives to make it safe by blocking the things that aim to harm your pc before it happens. Also If someone goes to attack your browser they will not be doing it correctly because Opera broadcasts that it is Internet Explorer so everyone on the web thinks you are using Internet Explorer instead of opera.  There are certain sites that tell you what browser you are using in order to sell you something. Now they wont even now what you have. Of course if you dont know what your attacking you will never attack it correctly. Thus Opera comes out on top agian.

  3. well ill be launching a site soon but i am looking for paid hosting. i dont have the time to post often enough and will need a lot of bandwidth. what suggestions does everyone have about paid hosting? i am looking for hosting that has plenty of space and lots of bandwidth. i dont want to spend an outrageous amount of money either. what hosting companies are reliable and would be good to host my site at?

i know that Xisto has Xisto - Web Hosting as a partner. i would like to know how reliable it is and do the websites using that hosting run smoothly and have plenty of uptime. but i would also like some suggestions about other sites besides Xisto - Web Hosting.

    thanks.

or you could just type into a serch engine "web hosting"

  8.

I would like to hear your opinions.  I've recently started making things like jewelry, purses, wallets, painted wooden boxes, picture frames, and clothes.  I usually wear my stuff to school and found that people like them.  Within a week people were buying them off me.  One of my teachers told me I should make a website with all my stuff on it and sell it.  I thought that was illegal.  Any ideas about this??

    187227

no its not illegal in fact many people do do that all you have to do is to find a hostinmg company like http://imptestrm.com/rg-erdr.php?_dnm=www.webspace-empire.com&_cfrg=1&_drid=as-drid-2300300503455222 and than build you web site and upload it simple as that

  9. Thanks, but you also need a lot of cash though.

If you are to host many peoples websites, you have to be ready to take risks.

It aint always thinks works out, and you risk loosing a lot of money.

So I'd  say building up important contacts around the web is important too.

but it's not always easy to do that...

    Nice topic, very useful

  10. to set up your ownweb hosting company first you mustfind a web host or dedicated server company that you can add aliases to or sub directorys

then you muyst build or make your site (i use dreamwever and frontpage)

then you must get your own domain name and mailbox for your mail

then you upload you files to your server or reseller hosting company and away you go

thats the easiest wey to set up your own webhosting company

  11. Well, my harddisk is working and working and working, and everything is really slow.

All the time, I hear the computer working in the background. I've tried to restart the computer twice, but it doesn't fix it...

I think the harddisk is working instead of the RAM, but I have no clue why...

Anyone knows who to fix it?

By the way, when I was about to click the submit button, firefox stopped responding, and I had to wait 15 secs. (and then I wrote this paragraph)

    186880

what you do is press ctrl alt del to get up task manager and stop some prosses that are not vital for your machine to run

failing that you might need to get a bigger ram upgrade
