  1. Thank you for posting your thoughts! I agree that it does depend a lot on the field/industry.I spoke to some of my friends and most of them recommended that I try to find a job after 4 years. I'm going to speak to a counselor about this again some time in the future, but I figured that right now I should be more worried about getting into a college before I worry about graduate school.
  2. Ah, this reply is about 2 months late. D:Hello, there! Thank you for welcoming me. (:Yes, so far from what I've seen, the people here seem friendly.
  3. I plan to become an animator when I'm older, but I'm unsure if I should go straight into the industry after I get my bachelor's degree (provided that I can actually get a job), or if I should continue my education into graduate school to earn a master's degree first.I've heard some people say that it's better to go to graduate school because it'll make my resume look more impressive and I'd be able to learn more. Still, others argue that it's best to get real experience as soon as possible.Does anyone have any advice or opinions about this?(Note: I'm still a high school senior, so I guess I don't have to worry about this too much now, but I'd like to have a better idea of where I'm headed)
  4. The original topic starter probably won't need this anymore, but I thought I'd post here anyway, in case someone else is looking at the topic for help. People already pointed out how you could find the more common hints of a girl liking a guy, such as smiling a lot, staring, finding opportunities to get closer/talk, etc. But some girls are more reserved/weird/complicated/confusing. The girl usually talks to you normally and you're good friends and whatnot. Then, once in a while, she'll kind of ignore you, or quickly glance away when you make eye contact. And later on, it'll be normal again. She may have thought about the possibility of liking you and is in denial, or thinks it wouldn't be good for her to like you, so she tries to avoid you for a while. That, or her friends told her something awkward. hahaha. She gives you several nicknames that are closer to the joking side than the insulting side. This hint is kind of weak, since people often give nicknames to others regardless of whether they're interested in the person romantically or not. Still, I have noticed that girls tend to like giving nicknames to guys they like more often than they do for other people (with the exception of close friends). When she asks you if you're going somewhere/doing something/etc, she almost always asks you after asking someone else. Or at least, she'll usually ask someone else as well. She might do this because they are trying not to make it obvious that they're interested in whether or not you're going to an event. Sometimes when you talk to her, she looks away or looks down. She doesn't have too many problems looking directly at other people. She's shy and doesn't want you to know she likes you. She's afraid she'd blush or her eyes would dilate if she looked directly at you. When she's talking to other guys, she'll glance at you often.Probably afraid that you would misinterpret her relationship to this guy. Talks about her other guy friends when you're around, but she makes sure to mention that she isn't interested in a relationship with her other male friends. She wants to see your reaction. To see if you get jealous or not. But she also wants to let you know that she doesn't like the other guy. Yeah, this is kind of a jerkface move. I'm not really sure how common or valid any of those hints are. However, I can say that those are signs I noticed in myself when I like someone. Then again, that might just be me. I don't know, but I hope it helps.
  5. Hello, everyone! I've visited these forums a couple of times before, but didn't join until now. I tend to lurk around in forums more than I post, but I'll try to be active. Here's a little bit about me:I am currently a senior in high school, aiming to become an animator in the future. I'm rather behind on the curve compared to other aspiring animators considering I have never used an animation program such as Flash (for 2D) or Maya (3D) before. The closest I've been to making any type of animation was drawing in the corners of my notebooks and making GIF images.I'm mostly interested in working on 2D animated television series in the future, but since 3D is the future, I'll be learning both.I like listening to various kinds music, especially rock music, but I'm sort of disconnected from the world, so when my friends mention songs or artists they like, I don't know any of them. xD On the other hand, when I talk to them about bands or artists I like, they have no idea who I'm talking about. So I have no friends to talk about music to. My favorite music genres are: Post-hardcore, Adult Alternative Pop/Rock, Punk Rock, Pop Punk, J-Rock/Pop, Hard Rock, and Country. I listen to other genres too, but I don't typically look them up. I have a hard time listening to most Rap and Hip Hop, but I'll admit some are good. It's just hard to find ones that I like, so I don't really bother since I'm not a big fan of the genre anyways. For some reason, I can't listen to K-Pop. It doesn't work for me. About three quarters of my friends love K-Pop, but I can't listen to any of those songs for more than a minute. It's not that they're bad (well, some of them are), I just can't listen to them.^Somehow that became a mini-rant. I'm sorry. In my spare time, I like to watch cartoons. Mostly children's cartoons and anime. Yes. I am an anime fan. I also like reading manga. Once in a while, I read novels. I mostly read fantasy novels, but I find sci-fi and war-related novels interesting as well. My favorite hobby would have to be drawing. I love drawing, sketching, and doodling, but compared to other artists, my art is very mediocre. I'm working on improving my art skills; currently, I'm learning different styles and practicing drawing objects, scenes, and realistic people and animals. I play video games sometimes, but I do not consider myself a gamer. My gaming motto (despite not being a gamer) is "Always win; even if lose." I know, that's horrible grammar, but I don't care. B)Well, I think I talked way more about myself than I originally planned to. If you actually read all that, thank you. I hope it didn't waste too much of your time.
