avp was really good along time ago.. it helped me catch the virus on my computer that notrton couldnt catch ... and when you have a virus on your computer u cant install it .. so basically u got useless antivirus software... we all know alot of ppl are lazy heeh dont install it until its usefull hehe

I personally use 2 .. paintshop pro and adobe photoshop .. both are excellent choices if you know how to use them.. similar interfaces ..

try installing and reinstalling again if not prolly you downloaded something wrong or if thats not hte problem something or some site is wrong with your computer is conflicting with it.. try the debugger

swish for beginnersflash for more advanced users.. because the effects used by swish are flash effects u can make in flash...

limewire is still the best.. skype dosnt work that well with my comptuer ~_~

Naw firewalls are useles... they dont help .. well they do .. but they jus cause more trouble..

The best antivirus software has got to be Nod32 its just the best that i have seen and used so far ... its not useless like norton and always says " can not repair " lol

My prefered ftp client is FlashFXP its pretty good and I can access two ftp servers at the same time easy for me to move files from server to server cause I tend to move my website around all the time..

there are plenty of programs that do that ... I dont think its anything especiall...

i tend to not download new directx releases/.. as sometimes it screws up my games and there are so many times it become s not compatible with and or has conflicts...

haha same paint is pretty good but there are so manythings that I use photoshop for cause it does it in better quality.

hrmm an alternate windows shell? .. not sure what you mean but Litestep is a pretty good alternate window shell with plenty of support and other stuff from cuztomize.com give it a try.

Yeah I just use firefox... and for my normal IE i use the google toolbar does wonders .. however popups aregetting smarter and smarter.. they mannage to get by the google toolbar..

Music programs as in what do you use to listen to music? For cds and other music files I like to use winamp .. if not windows media player is a nice choice as well.

I dont know I hear sp2 isnt that great.... sp1 was better than sp2 .. and sp2 install cds all have problems cause it dosnt support some hardware which makes the install not work.. but I guess thats just for me but Ive read online and on irc that sp2 has such problems... my comps old so I dont upgrade..

Try reinstalling again I had the same problem.. but if its still the same I think you should check your disc or your cd rom drive.. cause you never know..

I have beeen through alot of antivirus software throughout my days.. but I really have to say norton is a useless antivirus.. the best antivirus that I have used so far that doesnt eat up ram or is falt out useles... is Nod32.
