  1. Hello all, I just found this site (Xisto)today. I have asthma and have had it since 2003. I am thinking that I have had it most of my life, but I grew up in Tulsa, OK which is very humid and my trigger is very dry cold air. My lung capacity is that of a 15-year-old and I am 47 (i.e. should be 437ml and I can't seem to get it above 350ml on the breathing meter). I have also just learned that my symbicort has been the cause of my cataracts that were diagnosed in March of '09. That almost made me mad, but I feel there is nothing I can do about it.
  2. I have epilepsy and went to an Epilepsy support group this morning. We were discussing the side effects of medications. I learned that I need to watch for clinics (like the free clinic I go to that depends upon donations) that use generics and/or switch manufacturers of an AED because window of effectiveness can either lead to seizures and/or toxic side effects. I was upset because I am on 3 AED's now 1 for Epilepsy and 2 for mood stabilizers and I just got finished having side effects due to one of them (Topamax): Serious stomachaches! Thought I was going to die!!! I now have to go back to my doctors (Neuro and the clinic)and discuss ALL of my medications!
  3. I was looking up the topic "skipping school" because I write online (contrbutor.yahoo.com previously associatedcontent.com) and our local papter says that we have an all time high of kids skipping school and I was looking for some background content to go with the article and this came up in google search.
